• The staff they went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable.
• The pillows. They were not fluffy. They were flat and kind of hard.

“What the hotel lacked the staff made up for it. I worked as a sales administrator at the Double Tree Downtown Memphis. So I have experience in customer service at a hotel. The staff at the Double Tree can not hold a candle to the staff this hotel. From the day I checked in to the day I checked out I was treated well. I do have to give a special "kudos". I locked my keys in my truck, he promptly assisted me. In this day and time, good customer service is rare. The staff deserve a blue ribbon.”

• It had a refrigerator was clean.
• No cups, soap, shampoo, pool, wireless, restaurant, hallways smelled like food, hard to find.

“This hotel basically provided a clean room, one bed, one TV & not much else. It was geared for "Extended Stay" travelers (mini kitchen).”

• The hotel I stayed in was very pet friendly. The great savings was amazing as well! Very helpful staff.
• Not a big area for business, no conference room. Having to pay for internet.

“I will definitely be staying in this hotel again! The rate at which we got it for is unbeatable. I love that I can bring my dog with me too. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I just wish that we had more room for business and/or a conference room we could go to and utilize.”

“They said no problem with getting 2 beds in room. Then called on way. They said no problem with 2 beds. When we got there at 1:00 am, man was very rude. He said none was available--only a king size was. Not customer friendly AT ALL! The place was also dirty and stinky.”

• Location was good, hotel overall was looks to be in a corporate location.
• First room I was given was hard to get in. Given another room and it was dirty. Did not complain waiting on survey.

“Hotel over all seem to be ok. My room experience was not great. Given two room and I had a problem with both. Hotel should provide paper cup. Everyone does not like drink out of the same cups. Even if you have to watch them. Everyone is not clean. If you are staying over night paper supplies are good.”

• It was in a quite location away from the freeway.
• The room needed detail cleaning. The wireless internet was less than desirable.

“It is in a good location. Off the freeway and is quite. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean but not deeply cleaned. The corners in the bathroom needed attention. The door to the bathroom needed replacing. The grout in the bath was discolored. The wireless internet was horrible.”

• Lights over bed and remote did not work. Bath was basic and not terribly clean.

“Overall the staff of this hotel was very nice and concerned when I called to complain about the lights over the bed and the remote not working. I chose not to change rooms as I was too tired. The bathroom was very basic but there was a lot of mildew in the bath tub. The room looked much worn and could use an updating of just about everything.”

• The overall cleanliness of the units could have been much better.

“Good for an overnight stay. I personally would not prefer to stay here for longer than a day or two. There was mold was growing in the bathroom along the shower stall. Additionally, I didn't feel the quality of the beds was up to par with similar facilities.”

“I was forced to book at a neighboring hotel when the hotel I was placed at did not have any rooms with more than one bed. Apparently they only have rooms w/ full size beds and have only one roll out bed that was in use. Therefore I not only lost the money I paid for that room, I was at the mercy of the hotel next door for any room available at whatever price they wanted to charge.”

“We were locked out of our room twice and the staff couldnt get in for about 20 minutes. The manager was called and the staff came back and told us the manager wasn't going to do anything. We felt like we were not important customers. I would not likely go back to this hotel.”

“Every time we stay here we tell ourselves that it's only a 2 star. That helps us put up with things that are not just right. If someone needed to stay in the room for most of the day, Id say go somewhere else. But it's great for a quick stay & a place to sleep. Kitchen area is good for the hungry ones!”

• Clean, large room. Kitchenette.
• Does not have daily housekeeping service. That is unacceptable to me. No shampoo in the room. One does not expect that. Too basic of service.

“It is ok for one night, if you bring your own shampoo. If you are staying two nights, stay someplace else, because after a long day out making money you come back to your hotel room to find that the bed is not made and the towels are still laying on the bathroom floor where you left them. This hotel is intended for extended stay guests, not travelers for one or two nights. Unacceptable.”

• Dishes were dirty, no clean glasses, work surface of lap [top not adequate.

“Hard to find at night, no outside lights were on, directions were not correct. Key did not work after 1st night had to go back to lobby for to take care of that, the coffee maker was dirty, had left over dirty water in the top.”

• The front desk staff was excellent and allowed us to check in earlier than usual which was great since we were very tired after our 14-hour drive.
• The rooms can be a lot cleaner. The kitchen sink had hair in the drain. Totally messed up my opinion about the room.

“Homestead needs take it up a notch or two in the cleanliness department. The air conditioning wasn't working properly either. Although, the front desk was a lot friendlier than my first visit. Definitely a welcome change. In the end, I guess you get what you pay for.”

• I really liked having the option to cook my own meals on the stove top.
• Bed was a little on the hard side and door was difficult to pull shut when leaving room.

“The room was more spacious than I anticipated. I was excited to see that they had a close to full-size refrigerator in the room with a separate door for the freezer portion. I did not use the stove top on my first visit but used it since then on my second stay and it worked fine. Would be nice to have a measuring cup in the kitchen area but the coffee cup worked ok as a substitute.”

“This hotel may be ok for someone with low expectations and needs a cheap place to stay for a short to moderate period of time. The coffee pot wasn't clean and there were no amenities in the bathroom. I went out and bought my own blankets which ended up costing more than the cost of the room because I didn't feel confident that the linens were clean. The cable service was awful and kept going out. There were bags of garbage in the hall and dirty towels that sat outside of rooms for more than 12 hours.”

• Not clean, mattress had coils sticking out, air condition did not work

“The air conditioning did not work and I have asthma. The mattress had coils sticking out of it, both the mattress and box spring. We left a day early because we could not take the service. The door lock was always broke. Our key never worked. We were asked to move our stuff out of the room the next day after we arrived so they could deliver mattress to the rooms. Since we were there for a convention we had to miss the first day. We were waked up at seven (7 a.m.) By their staff, they knocked then just came into our room they say to fix the door. Well we have young children. The dishes were not cleaned, the fridge was stained and the freezer was stained. We were promised a certain size room by the hotel and they did not deliver, instead of providing a double bed like they said they would they provided a single bed and my babies slept on the floor. We ran out of that hotel right after the convention.”

“I really enjoyed my stay. There wasn't much vending machine choices (some extended stay motels have vending machines with "meals to go", etc) so a car or other transportation is needed. The front desk staff was wonderful to us.”
