• Lack of refrigerator in room.

• Hotel was clean and updated decor.
• The bathroom was a little on the small side.

“The hotel was nice and had updated decor. The bathroom was fine although it could stand to be a little bigger and have a light over the tub shower area. Another shortcoming was that the walls are a bit thin as we could hear the people next door. Their TV was pretty loud and we could hear them talking. Nothing a little more soundproofing won't fix though. I'd stay there again as it was a great value.”

• It was a very clean place and no smoking.
• It was hard to find the sign to get to the hotel.

“The hotel was a very nice place and our friends and us enjoyed the court yard to visit in and talked for hours. We had an awesome time at the hotel thank you.”

• Excellent facility. Workout area was top notch. Very clean and professional in appearance.
• Cable TV had limited channels. No exhaust fan in bathroom.

“Excellent facility. Workout area was top notch. Extremely convenient location with easy interstate access. Area abounds with a variety of restaurants and upper end shopping. Warm chocolate chip cookies upon arrival were wonderful. Beds were comfortable; however, we would have preferred a room with 2 queen beds (we had 2 double beds) and I was told they don't offer rooms with 2 queen beds.”

• Staff very helpful in getting us room we wanted.
• No free breakfast, expensive breakfast buffet instead.

“This hotel is within one mile of a large shopping center. There are many restaurants of all kinds within 5 miles. The hotel is business oriented. An expensive buffet breakfast ($12) is not worth that price. You are given a nice warm cookie as you arrive. The staff was very helpful in getting us a room that meets is desired location.”

• I did not like having to pay an extra fee for internet access. Most don't charge extra for this anymore.

• The room was very elegant and made you feel like you were at home.
• My only complaint is that the desk in our room had a huge burn mark on it and looked trashy.

• Everything was spotless. The beds were very comfortable.
• They should have a couple of garbage cans in the parking lot.

“There were a couple of groups partying in the parking lot. It would have been a lot easier cleaning up if the were garbage cans available. Other than that the hotel was "excellent".”

• Clean, spacious room. Quick check in.
• Dirty spa, no soap in bathroom dispensers. Entire lobby/hallway to elevator blocked off for wedding.

“No complaints the first night (besides the fact there was no soap at the sinks in the locker rooms and 4/4 soap dispensers in showers were empty). The second night, my kids and I went to use the spa and it was completely green and murky and smelled awful. It ruined our fun plans to relax and swim. The pool was freezing (both nights). There was also a wedding that night, and it was stated the entire hallway walking area to elevators was closed off for the wedding. This was ridiculous. I just walked through anyway because there was no way I was going to exit the building, walk all the way around the building with two young kids plus all of our stuff to get to the elevator we needed to get to our room. I must say, the staff was friendly and when I complained about the spa (which I had to do by leaving the pool/spa area and walk all the way up to my room on the 3rd floor to call the front desk to complain because I couldn't walk through the "wedding party area" all wet in my suit and there was no phone to call the front desk in the pool area, only an emergency phone) someone was down there checking it out before I even got back downstairs. We couldn't use it that night, but it was much better the next morning.”

• The hotel appeared to be clean but our room smelled of mold!
• Mold smell!

“Overall the hotel was easy to find, met our price guidelines, the staff was very professional, delicious, warm cookies upon check in but the room had a overwhelming smell of mold. Kind of erased all the good things about the place!”

• Hard to find, no visible signs off of Blue mound Ave.

• Near shopping and easy drive to miller stadium.
• It was very noisy. The doors didn't keep much sound from the hallway from coming in.

• The location is close to many shopping and dining options.
• Very busy for a small hotel because of special event facility.

“The hotel is small but clean. I had one issue with the room: bathroom door would not close. During my stay, someone kept smoking in the hall and the smell would creep into the room. There are many shopping and dining options near the hotel including a mall. It is not too far from downtown either.”

• Excellent rooms, great housekeeping, awesome service, delicious cookies and many amenities.
• Limited TV channel selection, curtains obstructed HVAC system partially.

“The Doubletree was really a delightful hotel. The front desk staff was helpful, friendly and efficient. And the cookies delicious! The lobby and sitting areas were quite elegant with the restaurant being airy and comfortable. The rooms were easy to get to and had great furnishings. The beds and linens were comfortable and I loved all the extra pillows. The water pressure was excellent and I appreciated the fancy showerhead. A big thumbs up!”

• No cups and no towels at the workout area some of equipment needed to be maintained.

• It was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable.

• The bedding was so comfortable and the room was large.
• The contact person at front desk spoke in demeaning style.

“The Doubletree in Brookfield Wisconsin is centrally located with great shopping surrounding the hotel. I94 and Miller Park was just minutes away. The room was spacious clean and the bed insured a good night sleep. The pool was a bit small and filled with children but the hot tub rescued my pool area experience.”

• The thermostat in the room was hard to figure out; instructions would be helpful.

“We recently stayed in the Doubletree while in town for a funeral. The accommodations where suitable for the travelers. The bar area in the restaurant was used a lot. The employees where helpful when recommending places to eat and things to do in the area. The only problem was the small indoor pool. It is only two lanes for lap swimming and not family friendly.”

“We planned a family weekend getaway with 4 people (2 children), and when we arrived, we had a room with one bed for 4 people. I had called ahead but they could not guarantee a larger room. Luckily, the night manager saw our dilemma and helped us out, 2 bed rooms a must somehow. I don't feel confident of what I will have when I arrive, stress on vacation! The Hotel excellent though.”

• Front desk personnel were awful.

“Our experience with this hotel was horrible. Were not treated the same as other guests. Housekeeping went into room and began cleaning/stripping when were had obviously not checked out. We had to dig our items out of the trash. Had to leave before planned swim. Personnel did not even apologize.”

• Pool was very small and very cold.

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree in Brookfield. The staff was so friendly and the warm cookies were great. Our room was very clean and very nice. We had 2 adults and 2 children and ended up with a room that only had a king size bed. Due to the hotel being completely booked and many teams staying there, there were no roll away beds available so my son had to sleep on the floor. There was no way to fit all 4 of us in one bed. They did provide very nice blankets and pillows so he was fine. The beds are great and very comfortable. The pool is very narrow and quite shallow and was very cold. The kids made the best of it and had a good time. We were very pleased with our stay.”

• The rooms were nice and the location was great.
• The air did not work in our room, the pool was not for kids.

“The hotel rooms were nice and the location was great. However, the pool was a lap pool and not suitable for young children. We also had to switch rooms on night two and were bumped from our upgrade due to a sports team staying there and I thought that was very rude. Also, the air only worked in our room from time to time. The staff was very friendly for the most part - however, housekeeping came to clean our room on the first morning at 6:45 a.m. which was quite early. Asked them to come back later as my kids were sleeping and they never did. The location was great for what we needed it for, i.e.: the zoo and dining. It was clean and kept nicely. Not a place if you have small children who wants to swim though.”
