• Hard to find, no visible signs off of Blue mound Ave.

“Overall, my experience was great. I was surprised by getting warm cookies upon checking in. I would definitely stay there again, and certainly would recommend this hotel to others.”

• Near shopping and easy drive to miller stadium.
• It was very noisy. The doors didn't keep much sound from the hallway from coming in.

• The location is close to many shopping and dining options.
• Very busy for a small hotel because of special event facility.

“The hotel is small but clean. I had one issue with the room: bathroom door would not close. During my stay, someone kept smoking in the hall and the smell would creep into the room. There are many shopping and dining options near the hotel including a mall. It is not too far from downtown either.”

• Excellent rooms, great housekeeping, awesome service, delicious cookies and many amenities.
• Limited TV channel selection, curtains obstructed HVAC system partially.

“The Doubletree was really a delightful hotel. The front desk staff was helpful, friendly and efficient. And the cookies delicious! The lobby and sitting areas were quite elegant with the restaurant being airy and comfortable. The rooms were easy to get to and had great furnishings. The beds and linens were comfortable and I loved all the extra pillows. The water pressure was excellent and I appreciated the fancy showerhead. A big thumbs up!”

• No positive experience with this hotel - horrible staff.
• Bad customer service, staff was unfriendly, cafe/bar was tiny, and pool was small.

• Very friendly staff at check-in and at the restaurant, nice workout equipment.
• No cups and no towels at the workout area some of equipment needed to be maintained.

• It was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable.
• The pool.

“The hotel was perfect for business travelers or adults. It wasn't kid friendly at all. The pool is a 3-lane lap pool. If you are choosing your hotel and have kids, pick a different hotel.”

• The bedding was so comfortable and the room was large.
• The contact person at front desk spoke in demeaning style.

“The Doubletree in Brookfield Wisconsin is centrally located with great shopping surrounding the hotel. I94 and Miller Park was just minutes away. The room was spacious clean and the bed insured a good night sleep. The pool was a bit small and filled with children but the hot tub rescued my pool area experience.”

• I liked the warm cookies we were given at check-in. Also liked the Neutrogena toiletries provided.
• The thermostat in the room was hard to figure out; instructions would be helpful.

“Quiet, comfortable, close to the expressway, just 15 minutes from downtown Milwaukee. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking.”

• The small pool.

“We recently stayed in the Doubletree while in town for a funeral. The accommodations where suitable for the travelers. The bar area in the restaurant was used a lot. The employees where helpful when recommending places to eat and things to do in the area. The only problem was the small indoor pool. It is only two lanes for lap swimming and not family friendly.”

“We planned a family weekend getaway with 4 people (2 children), and when we arrived, we had a room with one bed for 4 people. I had called ahead but they could not guarantee a larger room. Luckily, the night manager saw our dilemma and helped us out, 2 bed rooms a must somehow. I don't feel confident of what I will have when I arrive, stress on vacation! The Hotel excellent though.”

• The cookies, once we got them, were yummy.
• Front desk personnel were awful.

“Our experience with this hotel was horrible. Were not treated the same as other guests. Housekeeping went into room and began cleaning/stripping when were had obviously not checked out. We had to dig our items out of the trash. Had to leave before planned swim. Personnel did not even apologize.”

• Pool was very small and very cold.

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree in Brookfield. The staff was so friendly and the warm cookies were great. Our room was very clean and very nice. We had 2 adults and 2 children and ended up with a room that only had a king size bed. Due to the hotel being completely booked and many teams staying there, there were no roll away beds available so my son had to sleep on the floor. There was no way to fit all 4 of us in one bed. They did provide very nice blankets and pillows so he was fine. The beds are great and very comfortable. The pool is very narrow and quite shallow and was very cold. The kids made the best of it and had a good time. We were very pleased with our stay.”

• The rooms were nice and the location was great.
• The air did not work in our room, the pool was not for kids.

“The hotel rooms were nice and the location was great. However, the pool was a lap pool and not suitable for young children. We also had to switch rooms on night two and were bumped from our upgrade due to a sports team staying there and I thought that was very rude. Also, the air only worked in our room from time to time. The staff was very friendly for the most part - however, housekeeping came to clean our room on the first morning at 6:45 a.m. which was quite early. Asked them to come back later as my kids were sleeping and they never did. The location was great for what we needed it for, i.e.: the zoo and dining. It was clean and kept nicely. Not a place if you have small children who wants to swim though.”

“Despite confirming two adults and an older child in advance of arrival, I was placed in a room with only a king bed. I slept on the floor of the room, using rolled up blankets as a pillow. Free breakfast was offered as compensation but the restaurant refused to honor the offer. The phone in the room did not work. My worst hotel experience in 30 years.”

“Upon arrival the front test was rude and said there were no double rooms available for any of our trip. The room was very humid and sticky, everything felt slightly damp. Finally, we had to have our room keys reactivated numerous times during our stay.”

• The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and the tables in the outside patio were great!
• The pool was too small! Walls are very thin. We could hear the ice maker. Hot tub was greenish/yellow!

“I would recommend this hotel for its location, friendly service and overall cleanliness. I would like to see a bigger pool and cleaner hot tub!”

• Warm chocolate chip cookies given to us by the friendly staff at the front desk.
• The outdoor signage was not obvious; it should be larger and perhaps further in advance.

“I would return to this location again if ever in the Milwaukee area. It is close to many conveniences including shopping, freeways, and a grocery store that has beautiful cut flowers at a reasonable price.”

• Sign was hard to spot off of the road; desk had large burn mark on it.

“This hotel was located approximately 2 miles off of the highway, about 10-15 minutes from downtown Milwaukee. We enjoyed our stay! Note: hotel sign is very small so be sure to have address or you could pass by it.”

“The hotel was nice - in a good location - close to interstates and suburban shopping. The hotel falters with families. There's no "kid channels" on TV nor are there kid-friendly movies for renting (PG-13 was the "friendliest"). The pool is a lap pool and not suitable for playing in with kids. Staff was friendly enough although on one of our days (we stayed 3 nights), our room was not cleaned. With 2 kids in the room, this is a nightmare! The hotel apologized but did not compensate in any way.”

• Overcrowded so could not give us the beds we needed.

“This hotel is conveniently located in an ugly sea of strip malls. Luckily, the inner courtyard is pretty and the indoor pool is nice. The hotel was great for a family on vacation, but I would not stay here for a romantic getaway (it's too big and corporate-looking).”
