• We enjoyed the pool area and the quietness of the rooms.
• They didn't provide a continental breakfast. Restaurant too expensive!

“Nice location. Lots of meeting rooms for business use. Rooms were a nice size and beds were comfortable and quiet. The pool and hot tub, while not large, were adequate and very clean. Room included a small refrigerator which looked like an afterthought due to its' location on the floor. There was no microwave.”

• Immaculate.
• Almost too stuffy.

“We were traveling with 3 children under 12. When we first arrived I was worried children weren't allowed. Everything was so fancy which is nice, but I was worried about the kids. We were also woken up at 8am by cleaning staff knocking on our door. The kids were actually still sleeping so that was a bummer. Otherwise the staff was VERY nice and very helpful. Would reccommend this hotel for business travelers and couples.”

• Quiet, clean, no surprises.
• No continental breakfast, slow wait staff in restaurant.

“Need some sort of continental breakfast option for those of us that do not have time to sit in a restaurant that additionally has slow service. Hotel could use a more state of the art snack / beverage facility: energy drinks, coffee coolers, high-end coffee option, granola bars, yogurt, etc. Also, hotel did not seem prepared to help travelers on how to find outside restaurants.”

• I really liked the location and the staff was exceptional.
• Room service (food only) very disappointing. Distance to rooms were
  difficult.

“I have stayed at three hotels that are three and a half stars in this area in the past few months. This is by far the most beautiful and well kept of the three of them. The staff was great. I was disappointed about the difficulty of getting back and forth from the room with only having the one set of elevators and the room service (food only) was extremely disappointing. Overall the hotel was very nice. The pool was not easy to get to either but that is just part of the floor plan.”

• Very accommodating staff.
• Room furnishings and bathroom getting a little run down. Having to pay $10 for internet access.

“Although the hotel is starting to show its age, it is always a pleasant stay at the Marriott West. The staff will bend over backwards to make guests happy. Rooms are comfortable but showing signs of age with some peeling wallpaper and worn furniture. Had
to pay $9.95/day for internet access when the hotels with fewer stars provide it for free. Room service is very fast and food is good. Nice exercise room and beautiful huge pool, both very quiet on week days.”

• The beds were great and the restaurant was very nice.
• There was no free internet access in the rooms, which was inexcusable. The young desk staff was not always professional.

“I stayed at the hotel with my wife and infant daughter for five nights. The hotel was impressive, with a very nice restaurant on site. Our room was above-average, with a nice bed. The whole hotel was very clean and well maintained. Our view overlooking a roof was shabby. Simply painting the peeling roof would have been a huge improvement. The heating and cooling system in the room was the best I have ever experienced; very quiet with no musty smell. The two negatives were the lack of free DSL in the room ($9.95 per day?) and the sometimes unprofessional young desk staff. I would most certainly recommend the hotel if the DSL were included in the room, as is, I am on the fence.”

• The beds were the most comfortable beds I have slept in in a hotel. I loved the bath and body works toiletries.
• There was no free breakfast included. All other hotels we looked at included breakfast and several were in the same price range.

“We had a very nice stay. The pool area was very clean. The only problem I had with the pool was it got very crowded. I had a 19 month old with me and I had to leave because there were too many older kids jumping and splashing. The second day the kids really got to enjoy the pool. The area was very nice. My husband didn't like the fact that there was nothing else around, but it was in a corporate area. We definitely recommend and if ever in the area stay again.”

• Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Lobby area and hallways are well maintained and welcoming.
• Parking is a bit inconvenient if hotel is being used by large group but lots are well lit and seem to be safe.

“If you are staying in Milwaukee and if an outlying location suits your needs, the Marriott Pewaukee is clearly the best hotel you could possibly choose. Clean, quiet, nice exercise and pool facilities, nice, spacious restaurant. Remember that Milwaukee is a convenient, compact city and getting around is generally easy. The only exception is getting Downtown at the present time (the freeway is under construction) so if your activities or business are Downtown, Id recommend the Hyatt.”

• Very friendly staff, always smiling and accommodating.
• Breakfast buffet was not full and the chef disappeared so we could not get omelets or waffles made.

“The staff is friendly and courteous. Everything was clean and inviting. The breakfast buffet was very disappointing for the price since it was not fully stocked to begin with. At $12.00 a person it was a little pricey for just potatoes OBrien, cereal, and sweet rolls. If the buffet closes at a certain time they should let you know that when you order instead of just having the chef disappears.”

“This hotel was located right off the highway but in a remote location. The hotel lobby was very attractively appointed. The room was nicely furnished with very comfortable beds & bedding. The room service menu was priced fairly, and they had the best crème Brulee I have ever had. I got a great deal on this hotel and would stay there again.”

• The staff was very helpful and the pool was open late great for kids.
• There were not enough lights in the parking lot to provide security for people/vehicles.

“My kids and I found it very accommodating and enjoyed swimming. The staff was very friendly and helpful as everyone we passed said hello. It would have been nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room, as we arrived late and brought food and drink with, but had nowhere to keep it overnight so it went bad. I kept the phone # in my cell and will stay there again.”

• Rooms were very clean and bed was comfortable with new linens.
• Server at restaurant never arrived to pick up our bill.

“Convenient location immediately off the expressway. Check-in was very quick and desk staff was friendly. Lobby and public areas were clean. Room was large, clean, and had big full length windows to outside. King size bed had new sheets and comforter and was very comfortable. Checkout via the TV did not work, so we had to check out at the front desk. Breakfast buffet was very tasty with lots of options, although once our bill was delivered, our server disappeared and we had difficulty finding someone to pay the bill to. A chef was available at the buffet to cook up omelets and answer questions.”

• A non smoking building!
• Smokers were congregated at the front entrance, sometimes 15or more. As a non smoker I had to pass by them.

• It smelled great. Reminded me of being at a nice spa.
• A little too far from downtown Milwaukee, but not too bad.

“Overall, this is a great hotel. The restaurant and bar had above average food with great service. The pool is indoors (nice in Wisconsin) and the hot tub was spacious and never crowded. The beds were soft and very comfortable. I enjoyed everything about the hotel. I did not have a laptop with me, but I think the only bad thing was having to pay for Internet. Not sure of this, so please verify it before you go.”

• Hotel was quiet and clean and conveniently located.
• Housekeeping removed the little bottle of shampoo and never replaced it. They also put one of our personal pillows on top of a wet beach towel.

“Other than the shampoo and wet pillow issue, the hotel was very nice, quiet and clean and the staff was friendly.”
