• Conveniently located.
• Bedding/linens terrible.

“Found the staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was quite good. The room however left much to be desired. Cabinets doors very worn with 1 ready to fall. The bedding was deplorable - terrible mattress, weak pillows and a sheet we found torn. The parking lot had 2 separate pot holes deep enough to do damage with no warnings at all.”

“Room was very nice and spacious with a wet bar separating the bed area from the living area. Bathroom was a little cramped. Everything clean. Very good morning breakfast with plenty of space to eat. Very nice recreational facilities, except the sauna did not work. Additional recreation area - pool tables, ping pong, air hockey - also a very nice addition. We were very pleased with what we got for our money!”

• It's in the middle of everything! You have your choice of the mall or any restaurant.
• You could tell that the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned. There were coffee spots on the bathroom floor.

“We have stayed here many times, and for the price that you pay, it's a great hotel. You get a full breakfast for free, the pool is nice and clean, and the location is great! You definitely will not run out of things to do.”

• I had surgery at a near by hospital; thats why I was there, my husband liked it because we were in a suite, and could go to the outer room as not to disturbed.
• None.

• Poor maintenance - wallpaper tears, etc.

“This is my second time in this particular hotel. Both rooms were very spacious and the beds comfortable. There were several maintenance issues in both rooms. Simple to fix things like a hole in the wall, tears in wallpaper, etc.”

• Lobby was beautiful, nice suites with separate bedroom with two queen beds.
• Confusing as to what La Quinta to go to there is another one next to this one that was a Budgeter previously.

“Good location, very nice rooms and lobby/sitting area. Very clean. Nice staff. I like the separate bedroom and living room. Had a refrigerator, microwave and sink in between rooms. Numerous restaurants close by some within walking distance. Nice pool area. Nice breakfast.”

• We were very pleased with room and the extras included in the room!
• The pool was being replastered, so we were a little disappointed in not being to swim.

“The hotel was friendly helpful and in a great area. Close to shopping and the conference that we attended. When we visit the area again we will stay at this hotel!”

• Very nice public spaces and rooms.
• The pool area was closed for repairs.

“This was a very nice La Quinta hotel. The room I stayed in only had a queen bed, but had a separated sitting area and sleeping area. It also had a refrigerator and microwave. The pool/hot tub were closed for remodeling while we were there, unfortunately. The dining/recreation area was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was nothing special, but nice to have available. The hotel also offers free internet which is nice. Overall a nice stay.”

• This was a roomy suite that allowed us to gather with fellow travelers.
• Tiny bath soaps and scratchy toilet paper. Otherwise excellent!

“Relaxing, comfortable suite and bed. Really enjoyed the extra space as it allowed us to gather with fellow travelers. Friendly staff at front desk. Large pool. All around positive experience.”

• I was impressed by the room. I did not expect such a large room for the price.
• Because the hotel is set up like a campus, it is a little confusing at first.

“My experience was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to get all my questions answered. My only complaint is that it was so busy, it was hard to get through to the front desk.”

• Very cold in the walkway used to go to breakfast.

“This is the third time we've stayed at a La Quinta, and each time we have been more than satisfied. Our most recent visit was no exception; very friendly front desk staff, the room was much larger than expected and as usual everything was in good order and the room had been thoroughly cleaned. The hot breakfast was nice as well. We will definitely be back!”

• Best rooms for a business traveler to Appleton- I've been coming for six months. Much better than Radisson!
• Breakfast was so-so but plentiful.

“Great pool and hot tub. Large rooms with plenty of room for a business traveler. TVs allow for external (IPOD) video/audio in, which is important to me for the Monday-Friday stays. Applebee's in right next store and a decent steak house across the parking lot- both allow call in orders to take away. This location is not 'downtown' but rather a very easy, straight-show down College Avenue drive to it. This hotel beats the Radisson (four stars? Loll) for value, services, room quality and comfort.”

• The size of the room and the balcony. Very private.
• The entrance was a little hard to find from the main road.

“We had a wonderful experience at the hotel. We stayed there in order to go to a Packer game the next day. The room was quiet and very comfy. The view from the balcony was like a winter wonderland! We would stay there again without question.”

• The breakfast, pool and hot tub, the suite with frig and wet bar.
• They used to have a free cocktail hour but they don't anymore.

“It was great we found out they would accept our dogs with no added cost. The whole place was clean, quiet and made you feel you were staying at a high class hotel. The breakfast was great with make you own waffles, fruit, eggs. Pool and hot tub. They have a fire pit in a court yard that can be used in the summer.”

“The hotel staff was very helpful, and called to make sure we were happy with our room. I have never before had some ask if I liked the room. It was the cleanest, and freshest smelling hotel room I have ever stayed in.”

“The room I was given was much nicer then expected, the pool was warm, the staff was friendly. I had to look for a down side but it was that the hot tub was very small so I never got a chance to use it, the breakfast bar was less healthy then others, and the timer on the waffle maker woke me up.”

• My wife arrived at the breakfast area a few minutes before 10 am (closing time) and everything was put away and she was told, "we close at 10".

• Spacious, modern rooms with great beds.
• I can't think of anything.

“By far the best stay for a long-term business traveler in Appleton. The rooms are large, the beds excellent and bedding soft and good quality. The in-room fridge and microwave were a great addition to a spacious counter that divided my room into a sleeping and work area. Plenty of counter space for my laptop, external drives, I-pod and work materials. Two good chain restaurants are within 20 feet of the hotel- Texas roadhouse (steaks) and apple bees. A movie theater is a block or two down. I am very, very pleased with my stay and hope to return there for at least part of my next two months working in Appleton.”

• This hotel was not busy during the week and our family enjoyed the pool, etc. by ourselves.
• The changing room/restroom in the pool area needs to be repainted/updated.

“We could not have stayed at a more perfect hotel for our family get-away! The rooms were very clean and had a refrigerator and microwave in every room. We enjoyed the warm indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, ping-pong tables, pool table, air hockey in the hotel all by ourselves from Monday through Wednesday. Most people were business travelers during the week. It got busier Thursday night and Friday. We really enjoyed the restaurants right next door and Fun set Blvd. for miniature golf, laser tag, bumper cars, and games. Morning breakfast was very good! It was an A+ stay. We will definitely be back again!”

• This used to be wood field suites! The rooms were great.
• Not applicable.

“The hotel was clean, the rooms were nice. There were plenty of activities included in the hotel charge like a fitness center, air hockey, fuse ball, pool table, hot tub, and huge pool. The continental breakfast was great as well.”

• Desk staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating.
• Hallways were very confusing & furniture older.

“Hotel is located just off i-43 on college avenue. Rooms are suites and mini-suites. It has an Applebee¿s restaurant attached by an indoor walkway. A large supermarket is about 2 blocks away. Hotel staff was very accommodating allowing us an early check in and a late checkout. Everything was very clean. "Do not disturb" sign was honored. The only negative comments that I have are: 1) furniture in the room was older but clean, 2) hallways had multiple sharp turns and after 2 days in this hotel, I still had difficulty getting back to my car. Based on my experience a would return at the price I paid and recommend to my friends.”

• This hotel had the cleanest rooms I have ever seen.
• One complaint, not a major one. The wood on railings in the Lobby and stairs needed dusting. Otherwise, spotless!

“La Quinta on College Ave. was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. Our room was spotless, a real deal. I would definitely stay there again.”

• The rooms were nice, really comfy beds!
• Hot tub was very small and not the cleanest.

“The property was very nice. The public areas overall were very clean and tastefully decorated. I liked the suite set up of the room, it was nice to have a microwave and fridge in the room. The bed was very comfortable. However, the room was not adequately stocked. There were no bath towels, only hand towels. No soap, shampoo or ice bucket. There were also some leftover crumbs on the floor. It seemed like someone only partially cleaned the room and forgot to finish. The supplies were brought to use after a phone call and we lived with the crumbs on the floor. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The pool was great, huge and warm. The hot tub was very small, occupancy 4 and not the cleanest. The price was right and it is a nice facility with just a few glitches. I would stay there again.”
