“It was a nice hotel. It was a little older but they are remodeling. In its day it was probably very nice. There working on getting back to that time.”

“It was sooo busy that the pool was bad on our Saturday from so much use. Only one set of doors and the lobby was extremely busy. The appetizers during their happy hour were really good. They have a great plan of their renovations posted on each floor and it should hopefully look really good and be more comfortable when it's completed.”

“There were so many sporting teams at this hotel it was impossible to try and use the pool area. There were kids running everywhere running up and down the halls slamming doors. The hotel has a policy of quiet hours from 10pm to 7am. After asking at the front desk if this was enforced I was told it was and that there would be off duty officers at the hotel. Amazingly the noise did calm down at 10pm.”

• Staff was outstanding. Room service/hotel pizza was a 10!
• Not enough elevators.

“Checked into hotel and could hear (water running) the toilet was broken. Called front desk, they had someone up to fix it with in 5 minutes. Excellent staff, very friendly. Had a great pizza from room service. Fresh toppings. I'd give it a 10. I'd stay there again.”

• Location and cleanliness were very good.
• Too noisy. Could hear thru the walls and vents.

“This hotel met my expectations for quality, cleanliness, location, and service, but the sound insulation between rooms (walls and vents) is terrible and I could even hear the person next door peeing. The place is a zoo on the weekends with kids running all over the place.”

• We liked the location.
• Some of the staff was rude, no continental breakfast, sink was plugged and shower was dirty.

“I thought the hotel was sufficient for our shopping trip to Appleton but wouldn't want to hang around the hotel for a long period of time. The atmosphere is lacking but it looks as though a remodeling project is in the works. The night staff was rude but some others were quite pleasant. The bed was very comfortable, overall we had an ok stay.”

• Very friendly, helpful staff. Even the construction workers.
• It was inconvenient when one of the elevators was out, but they got it working w/in a few hours.

“Very clean, very friendly hotel. Amenities were nice. They showed me checking in the following day for some reason, but took care of the situation right away w/o incident.”

• Under construction and not told, sliding door for window that wouldn't open.

“Rather nice in appearance and customer service but it was under construction, had to pay for a mediocre breakfast, and the window was actually a sliding glass door you could not open.”

• I didn't expect it to be very nice, but I was pleasantly surprised.
• Nothing worth mentioning.

“The room was very clean, and they've done some recent renovations. There are still a few things that could be updated, but everything was clean and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant both nights we were there and really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I was very impressed with this hotel and definitely got my money's worth.”

• The pool was nice and staff was friendly.
• Mold on fixture in bathtub, gross breakfast buffet.

“They are undergoing renovations, so it smells like glue and paint in the lobby, the pool is nice, the dining room food is sub-par. There is a vending machine off the lobby that has gum, candy, snacks and cigarettes in the same machine! If you take a bath you will notice mold on the underside of the fixtures. Hotel staff is friendly.”

• Comfy beds, friendly staff, nice pool area.
• Public areas smell "funny".

“Overall we were pleased with our stay. Despite being near a major highway on a holiday weekend, there was not traffic noise. The hotel has the feel of an older property that has been given a facelift, and while it looks nice enough, the public areas had an off odor (noticeable as soon as you walk into the main lobby.) Our room was dusty particularly the bathroom and there was some sticky residue on the bedside tables that I wiped off. The staff was very friendly, the beds were quite comfy, and the pool area was well maintained.”

“The room we had was quite old and needed to be updated-repaired. There was no breakfast - only coffee. The desk clerk was helpful with a free movie. Overall the hotel was okay, but there are newer hotels nearby where we will stay next time.”

“We were disappointed in the service at the hotel. They offer in room breakfast if you put your order on the door by 1am. We did so but they were never collected. We were too late to eat breakfast because we had a family commitment to attend. They said someone called in sick and they forgot. This is inexcusable to me. If someone calls in sick you have to cover their responsibilities somehow. I would prefer not to stay at this hotel again. (They did give us a refund of the price of two complimentary breakfasts. We still went to our event hungry due to time).”

“I would say that this hotel offered good amenities restaurants etc. We stayed here because it was in a good location in the city. The room had a broken bed and did not meet a 3star quality.”

“Four of us had tickets to the packer game in green bay - unfortunately, the closest hotel we could find was in Appleton, about 30 miles away. It was super convenient, clean, and friendly. Would stay here again even if I could find something closer to Lambeau. Really great value for the price.”

• Comfortable beds and pillows.
• Our room had a funny smell in it and mildew around the tub. Wallpaper coming off and damaged.

“Overall, it was a decent hotel. We went with another couple and their room was fantastic. I am not sure it is worth the amount the hotel charges for their rooms a night.”

“Very nice facility and they will be undergoing some remodeling. There was some construction noise due to this. The lounge was inviting and the room was nicely appointed. The staff was friendly and the service was quick.”

• The bed was very comfortable and the sheets where great!
• Nothing bad to say.

“We arrived late around 11:30pm, got waited on by a very friendly person. The room was on the top floor (8) it was clean, there where bathrobes and plenty of towels. The bed was king size and felt great! The bed sheets where soft and not scratchy. There where plenty of pillows on the bed, at least 5.”

• Guest Services was very quick and accommodating when we requested additional towels.
• Small rooms and very cold draft coming through large room window. Bathroom sink was also plugged-didn't drain well.

“Overall stay was OK. Rooms are not equipped with a fridge or microwave-we had to request these things from the front desk and they gladly brought them to our rooms. Hotel cleanliness was OK and staff was very nice and helpful.”

“There were minor maintenance issues in the room: the faucet had a leak in its handle; the shower curtain rod was loosely anchored and sagged to leave the curtain ends exposed. The bedding was sub-par. The desk staff were professionally trained and check-in/out was a snap. The Sunday "Champagne" brunch was buffet style and had no juice offerings. The restaurant setting was pleasant, but we've had better meals in other properties. (That said, our worst hotel/restaurant meal was in Dearborn, MI at a high-end brand. Go figure.)”

• The price was nice.
• Kids were playing on elevator every time we used it. Stopped on every floor. Also I stepped on glass in the hot tub.

“Never was compensated for stepping on glass in the hot tub. It had to be shut down and this was why we went. Never once received an apology. Also the hotel could supervise the elevators more. Children were riding the elevator all weekend and stopping on every floor. Complained to a staff member riding in the elevator with us. Nothing was done.”

• Very attractive colors; well thought out bathroom.
• Hard to reach room service; orders incomplete or wrong.

“I stayed over new year's eve and while there was more noise than I would have preferred up and down the hallway in the hours leading up to midnight, it was the fault of the parents who did not control their children, not of the hotel. Hotel staff were very accommodating and courteous.”

“The front desk staff was awesome. The room was clean. The bathtub mat was old and seemed to be full of mildew. My wife left something in the room and the Housekeeping Manager assured me it was taken care of. Outside of the condition of the bathroom, a great stay.”

• We tried the breakfast brunch for the 1st time and it was great.
• There was a wedding going on and it was noisier than usual.

“This hotel is a very pleasant place to stay. We have stayed here many times, as our daughter attends Lawrence University. It is very conveniently located right off the interstate, near the Fox Valley Mall, lots of places to eat nearby, and it's just a 10 min. drive to the University. The rooms are very nice and usually quiet, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and if I'm traveling alone, I always feel safe and secure. It's a very nice place to stay.”

• The bedroom and the bathroom were nice and roomy and had all the extras, coffee, iron, hair dryer etc.
• There was a wedding there and we lost our nice close parking space. We got back to the hotel that night and the beds were a little too hard.

“All the staff was very friendly and I am sure would have fulfilled any requests we would have had. It was also very quiet with no kids in the halls and no door slamming, nor did we wake up to the noise of someone else using their shower. Very enjoyable.”
