• The hotel was very attractive with a lot of accommodations.

“Overall, I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. They even had little cloth labels on the pillows that stated which ones were firm or soft. It was nice . The bathroom tub was stopped up but staff seemed pleasant when I brought it to their attention.”

• The overal aesthetic of the hotel was wonderful.
• The restaurant staff

“The hotel was beautifully decorated and the room was wonderful. The only problem I could foresee with the room was if you are a taller person. I am 5'4" and the shower had a low ceiling on it. If my husband who was 5'10" had attempted to use it he probably would have had to stoop over to use it due to the ceiling height and shower nozzle height. The only real issue I was was when my daughter and I went down for breakfast and while the hotel listed a complimentary breakfast for anyone staying at the hotel we were denied this because as the wait staff told me very loudly "you got a great price on the hotel through priceline so you don't qualify for the complimentary breakfast".”

• This hotel was clean, comfortable, and fairly convenient.
• There was no continental breakfast or I wasn't made aware of any.

“The lobby was nice and clean as was the room. The room was large and clean. The beds were comfortable. The bath was nice. Overall it was a pleasant experience and the price was reasonable. The only thing lacking was a continental breakfast or if there was one I didn't hear about it from the staff.”

“Clean, newly redecorated, restaurant clean with Sunday brunch, indoor pool, priority & executive floors if you want to get away from the kids, on the main highway, near large mall, excellent choice for any traveler.”

• I wish it would have been closer to the center of town.

“This hotel is in a great location for shopping. The staff was friendly and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room. I wish Priceline could give more than one area location for Appleton. I would have liked to stay in downtown Appleton rather than almost to the airport.”

• The new flat screen TV was excellent to watch.

“When we arrived on short notice for Valentine's Day get-away, we were checked in very fast and the clerk was very friendly. The room had a beautiful view of Appleton. We went to the lounge for a drink and the bartender was very friendly there also. The pool was clean but the water temp in the hot tub could have been a few degrees hotter. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone who visits Appleton.”

• Could use more parking.

“The hotel stay was beyond expectations. They had events in their ballroom and they in no way affected the quality of my stay. Rooms were comfortable and restaurant service was excellent at breakfast (only meal I had there). The lounge was inviting and the pool area was well maintained. The courtyard tables were a nice touch.”

• Nice room and gym - location.
• Shower didn't work - but they gave us free breakfast for inconvenience.

“Although there was a problem with the shower, the staff was quick to make it up to us with a free breakfast - I just wish their food was as good as their service.”

• Location near airport, shopping.
• Air conditioning was poor. Breakfast should have been included.

“Rooms are well appointed but air conditioning is very poor. Breakfast is not included as it is at many hotels. Generally a good hotel for the traveler, close to Appleton Airport and close to Fox Cities Mall.”

• The knobs in the shower were old and mildew.

“I thought the hotel was just fine, as hotels go. There was a wedding reception while we were there, and I was impressed that we didn't hear a whole lot of noise from that. We didn't make it to the pool area, so I can't comment on that. Other than the weird knobs in the shower, everything was clean.”

• Clean, nice beds, easy to find, comfortable, This was the nicest room I have stayed in - in a long time.
• The only thing was the wedding that was going on when we got there. Crowded lobby with drunk people. Not bad though.

“This is by far one of the nicest hotels in Appleton and I have stayed in most of them. Great, clean rooms with comfy beds, quiet and great soaps in the bathrooms!”

• Down the hall from us, some people were extremely noisy in the middle of the night, causing no sleep.

• Well equipped and located.
• Lounge drink prices were horribly high. $8.50 for 1 drink? Please.

“Very nice. High quality. Parking space was plentiful. Lounge was nice but very over priced. $28 for a round of drinks for 4 people. I understand keeping consumption in line, but the fact that we were the only the people in there was quickly explained.”

• Finally a room that has enough pillows! And comfortable beds.
• Pool area very small.

“When we arrived, my first thought was that the front desk was located in a strange place. The man who waited on was was very friendly, but not well groomed, lots of stubble. The room was excellent. Lots of pillows and very comfortable beds. The room was very nice and clean. The pool area was very small and over crowded. So over all we loved the room, but were not at all impressed with the rest of the hotel.”

“As the group of us was staying here after a band gig we played nearby, we loved that the pool was open 24 hours. The hotel staff was very accommodating, happily providing us with plastic cups and ice containers, and saying they were happy to let us hang out and have fun as long as we wanted. Very nice surprise!”

“The hotel was nice but had very noisy neighbors that came back to the hotel at 2:30 extremely drunk screaming waking everyone else up. Also, we got double charged for the rooms. I'm going through a dispute about it right now!”

“It was a nice hotel. It was a little older but they are remodeling. In its day it was probably very nice. There working on getting back to that time.”

“It was sooo busy that the pool was bad on our Saturday from so much use. Only one set of doors and the lobby was extremely busy. The appetizers during their happy hour were really good. They have a great plan of their renovations posted on each floor and it should hopefully look really good and be more comfortable when it's completed.”

“There were so many sporting teams at this hotel it was impossible to try and use the pool area. There were kids running everywhere running up and down the halls slamming doors. The hotel has a policy of quiet hours from 10pm to 7am. After asking at the front desk if this was enforced I was told it was and that there would be off duty officers at the hotel. Amazingly the noise did calm down at 10pm.”

• Staff was outstanding. Room service/hotel pizza was a 10!
• Not enough elevators.

“Checked into hotel and could hear (water running) the toilet was broken. Called front desk, they had someone up to fix it with in 5 minutes. Excellent staff, very friendly. Had a great pizza from room service. Fresh toppings. I'd give it a 10. I'd stay there again.”

• Too noisy. Could hear thru the walls and vents.

“This hotel met my expectations for quality, cleanliness, location, and service, but the sound insulation between rooms (walls and vents) is terrible and I could even hear the person next door peeing. The place is a zoo on the weekends with kids running all over the place.”

• Some of the staff was rude, no continental breakfast, sink was plugged and shower was dirty.

“I thought the hotel was sufficient for our shopping trip to Appleton but wouldn't want to hang around the hotel for a long period of time. The atmosphere is lacking but it looks as though a remodeling project is in the works. The night staff was rude but some others were quite pleasant. The bed was very comfortable, overall we had an ok stay.”

• Very friendly, helpful staff. Even the construction workers.
• It was inconvenient when one of the elevators was out, but they got it working w/in a few hours.

“Very clean, very friendly hotel. Amenities were nice. They showed me checking in the following day for some reason, but took care of the situation right away w/o incident.”

• I didn't expect it to be very nice, but I was pleasantly surprised.
• Nothing worth mentioning.

“The room was very clean, and they've done some recent renovations. There are still a few things that could be updated, but everything was clean and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant both nights we were there and really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I was very impressed with this hotel and definitely got my money's worth.”

• Mold on fixture in bathtub, gross breakfast buffet.

“They are undergoing renovations, so it smells like glue and paint in the lobby, the pool is nice, the dining room food is sub-par. There is a vending machine off the lobby that has gum, candy, snacks and cigarettes in the same machine! If you take a bath you will notice mold on the underside of the fixtures. Hotel staff is friendly.”

• Comfy beds, friendly staff, nice pool area.
• Public areas smell "funny".

“Overall we were pleased with our stay. Despite being near a major highway on a holiday weekend, there was not traffic noise. The hotel has the feel of an older property that has been given a facelift, and while it looks nice enough, the public areas had an off odor (noticeable as soon as you walk into the main lobby.) Our room was dusty particularly the bathroom and there was some sticky residue on the bedside tables that I wiped off. The staff was very friendly, the beds were quite comfy, and the pool area was well maintained.”

“The room we had was quite old and needed to be updated-repaired. There was no breakfast - only coffee. The desk clerk was helpful with a free movie. Overall the hotel was okay, but there are newer hotels nearby where we will stay next time.”
