• Did cost too much was in an idea location.
• They didn't have any meat for there breakfast, e.g., sausage, bacon.

• Convenient location, friendly staff and fairly quiet rooms.
• The smell of the non-smoking room was very unpleasant but bearable.

“Staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was more than adequate and varied. The room decor was attractive and amenities such as the hair dryer, coffee maker, iron/board were much appreciated. The smell of the non-smoking room we were in, however, was very unpleasant and malodorous. It smelled like stale smoke and old air freshener were being pulled into the room via the hvac system. Overall, it was worth what we paid and what we expected.”

• The bed was very comfortable. I stayed in the suite & it was like a mini house. Very comfortable. Very nice.

• The shower and coffee.
• The room smell, and staff wasnt concern at all I will never stay there again.

“It was my husband 45th b-day, he is a hard worker, and we have a son that is autistic. I travel a lot, and I was looking for the Hilton, I did expect to get a suite with a frig and microwave, instead for my husband 45th b-day we got a dump. I purchased Febreze to kill the odor. That did help. They had extra pillows. I have severe burns on my neck and I must sleep with 5 pillows I had 2 and the young lady at the front desk game sheets.”

• Had a very restful nights rest. Room was very quite.
• Bathroom vanity was discolored and tainted an otherwise great stay.

“The room had a strong mildew smell. The bathroom had mold everywhere. We woke up with terrible allergic problems. Will never stay there again. Ice machine was inoperative.”

• No problems with this hotel.

“I have stayed at this hotel several times and always received great service from hotel staff. They have added wireless internet in the rooms since my last trip. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. They also serve a wonderful breakfast.”

• Clean, perfect location off interstate.
• Mattress could be softer.

“Very pleasant stay. We just needed a place to sleep for a few hours to break up our driving to Alabama. Very nice place especially compared to other motels for the same price. We missed the free breakfast that sounded like it would of been great-waffles, eggs, etc.”

• This hotel really should be rated more than one star; it is a new hotel with more than you would expect from economy!
• The only thing was the truck noise outside next to a busy highway.

“Excellent hotel for the money. Should be ranked higher than a one star to me; nice breakfast; very clean fresh smelling room;”

• Nice hotel for the star quality.
• The only thing I didn't like was someone had smoked in the hallway and it smelled very smoky.

“This was a nice hotel for the price. It was only rated a one star and it was much nicer than that. I think the map on the website was off because it was on the west side of the freeway instead of the east like the map showed. Beds were soft too. Lobby was clean and neat. Breakfast was good.”

• It's location - about half way between home and final destination.

“Stay was short, but staff was very helpful and courteous. We left some of our personal items when we checked out and when I called, they had them put away and held them until we returned 2 days later on our way home. I liked that service.”

• I was assigned to room 220 which was filled with smoke smell and an air purifier. The room was damp and smokey.
• I won't be going back.

“I was assigned a smoking room which I request to be changed. After going to the room I showed the clerk my handicapped card. I have lung damage. I would have been sick if I had stayed the night in room 220. It took an hour to make the change and to turn on the phone in my room for local calls. By that time it was too late to go to my cousins house. The clerk was stubborn and uncooperative. Until I told her to call the Management she would not make any changes and just gave me a hard time. I travel a lot for business and pleasure. This was not a good experience. A friend of my cousin stayed at the hotel and one of the the other hotels didn't have any problems. I was very disappointed in the entire experience. ”

• The food was good. the staff was very nice and helpful.
• The location of the hotel was remote from the area restaurants.

“The overall stay we pleasant, the room was pleasant, the floor looked clean but I spilled some coffee and when I cleaned it up. I cleaned a lot more than the coffee. But over all I would stay there again.”

“The staff is excellent. The internet was not working properly and the young woman at the desk had it under control in and hour, even with me bothering here every five minutes. The full breakfast is a must.”

• For an older and inexpensive motel, I was pleased to find free wi-fi access.
• Older and dated appearance outside and inside the room.

“This motel is an old Budgetel building with distinctly dated architecture, and some interior aesthetics were dated as well, but this motel represents a fair value. Highlights include a location very close to I-24, complimentary wife Internet access, clean facility, and a decent breakfast with some fresh food, that means non packaged items.”

• The breakfast was nice.
• It was under remodeling.

“It is in a very convient location, right off of I-24. The breakfast was nice just like other Baymonts. The hotel was being remodeled at the time off our stay which was a negative and it does not have a pool. Overall it was just ok.”

• The location was convenient for travellers.
• The room had ants.

“The staff was friendly, but not very helpful. Had to wait an extremely long time to check in - the guest in front of me took a personal cell phone call, and the clerk did not proceed until the guest was finished - at least 7 minutes. The room was comfortable, but in the morning we noticed ants in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was not fresh, or stocked very well. I would not recommend this hotel for more than a nights stay unless it was the only one available.”

• Peeling wallpaper. This hotel needs to be renovated.

“Not a horrible experiance, but not great either. Peeling wallpaper always makes a room look well worn no matter how clean it is. This hotel needs some TLC.”

• There were ants crawling all over my stuff.

“I wanted a non-smoking room and they only had smoking. The entire hotel was not in good condition. The hallway air wasn't working, the carpet was rolled up in places--it was generally dirty. When we came back from dinner, our room was covered in ants--on the floor, the beds, the counters, our stuff. When I asked for a new room, they said there were none but I could have a can of spray. Later when I said I was leaving, they found another room--also with ants and a bad air conditioner, so I refused it. I had to take my 1 year old daughter out at 10:30 at night to find a new hotel. There were none in town, so we had to go 40 miles. Not a good experience. I would never stay at this hotel again.”

• A/C did not work, ants all over room, ants on wall in dining area, moldy bread in dining area.

“I recommend you take this hotel off your list. The A/C did not work properly, when we woke up there were ants everywhere, and the bread was moldy at the breakfast. Overall we were not pleased.”

• Basically, the location was just at the highway exit; convenient
• road construction created a 2-1/2 mile detour; no swimming pool, patio or outdoor area

• Terrible getting to the hotel....road construction. Check in person was very unfriendly or helpful.

“Once, we were able to find out how to get to Baymont Hotel from the main road ( due to road construction which blocked the normal entrance)we were pleased with everything: front desk,Room, and Breakfast.”

• It way right off the Interstate
• There was construction around the hotel and no detour was marked so we had to ask

“This hotel would rate a one star or very poor. No detour was marked so we had to ask for directions at a gas station. The hotel was clean, but in very poor condition. No pool for the kids is a big disappointment for travelers. ”

• Nice sized rooms.
• Second floor had a musty odor; obvious water problems.

“For some reason, the second floor hallway had no a/c and there was a HORRIBLE musty odor. When I entered the room, the a/c was off and the window was open. It was very humid and had a very musty/mildew odor. It took several hours to get the room cooled down and lessen the musty odor. It seemed apparent that they were having some type of water/leak problem. Also, the entrance to the hotel was difficult to find due to construction. I realize this is a temporary situation, but the road signs need to be clear.”

• The breakfast was excellent
• Although our room was a nonsmoking room, it had been smoked in that day.

“First problem was getting to the hotel. There was construction that prevented entrance and there were no directional/detour signs posted although the hotel staff said there was. It took us an extra 30 minutes to find a way to get to the hotel parking lot. Once we checked in and got our room, we opened the door and were practically knocked over by cigarette smoke odor. I went back to the front desk and reported this and was told that was the last nonsmoking room available. The parking lot was less that 1/4 full, so I can only assume the percentage of nonsmoking rooms at this facility is very small compared to the smoking rooms. The front desk rep said that management typically tolerates guests smoking in nonsmoking rooms witout penalty. I was offered an odor masking chemical, which I would have to spray in the room myself. That did not keep my husband from having an asthmatic reaction to the smoke, but we had no other choice. Thirty minutes later, the front desk rep called and offered us a handicapped equipped room with one double bed. My husband is a very big man, so this was not an option for us. ”

• No pool or fitness center, the detour which did not make for easy access.

“The Baymont was ok if a person just needed a place to sleep. My 9 yr old & I had brought our swim suits; however, there was no pool available. Also, no fitness center. The hotel was not located in an area conducive for walking.... thus, no exercise.”

• The road was closed to the hotel with no signs. Took over 1/2 hour to get to it.

“The hotel was okay, nothing extravagant but that's what I booked since I knew I wouldn't be there long. Getting to the hotel was terrible. The road was closed and there was no sign to instruct on how to get to it. Someone told me I had to go through the construction site to get to it. I may have done damage to my vehicle because of it.”

• breakfast and friendly staff
• This time the construction made us take a long detour to get to our hotel. This was a hassle.

“This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel and have enjoyed my visit both times. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is great. The construction that is happening to the roads made us take a detour about 4-5 miles out of our way, which was a hassle. But this will not last forever.”

• Temporary location: rebuilding a curve next to the hotel's entrance drive.

“What struck me most was the color scheme of the halls and rooms.......very pleasing,soft and pretty...different from any other I have experienced. Never the less, this hotel's location was NOT in the congested area of motels,restaurants and retail stores located one mile away, but rather by itself.”

• Courteous staff and great biscuits and gravy!!!
• The back side of the hotel was falling down!!!

“Prompt, courteous staff, with a good continental breakfast! The only problem was the back of the hotel was being held up by a 2X4 plank on the outside of the building.”
