“Good place. Breakfast bar was good for the price of the hotel.” Nov 21, 2005 by
Ken from Winfield, IL
“The overall stay we pleasant, the room was pleasant, the floor looked clean but I spilled some coffee and when I cleaned it up. I cleaned a lot more than the coffee. But over all I would stay there again.” Nov 14, 2005 by
Ashby from Olney, IL
“The staff is excellent. The internet was not working properly and the young woman at the desk had it under control in and hour, even with me bothering here every five minutes. The full breakfast is a must.” Nov 2, 2005 by
Wanda from Union City, TN
“Convenient location of places we wanted to go. Nice, comfortable room. Very convenient checkout time. Nice continental breakfast.” Oct 28, 2005 by
Matt from Mahomet, IL
“This motel is an old Budgetel building with distinctly dated architecture, and some interior aesthetics were dated as well, but this motel represents a fair value. Highlights include a location very close to I-24, complimentary wife Internet access, clean facility, and a decent breakfast with some fresh food, that means non packaged items.” Sep 28, 2005 by
Myra from Supply, NC
“Well maintained and clean.” Sep 9, 2005 by
Darrell from Florissant, MO
“It is in a very convient location, right off of I-24. The breakfast was nice just like other Baymonts. The hotel was being remodeled at the time off our stay which was a negative and it does not have a pool. Overall it was just ok.” Aug 27, 2005 by
Fay from Bloomington, IL
“Great place to stay.” Aug 6, 2005 by
Tom from Pittsburgh, PA
“The staff was friendly, but not very helpful. Had to wait an extremely long time to check in - the guest in front of me took a personal cell phone call, and the clerk did not proceed until the guest was finished - at least 7 minutes. The room was comfortable, but in the morning we noticed ants in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was not fresh, or stocked very well. I would not recommend this hotel for more than a nights stay unless it was the only one available.” Aug 5, 2005 by
Paul from St Peters, MO
“Not a horrible experiance, but not great either. Peeling wallpaper always makes a room look well worn no matter how clean it is. This hotel needs some TLC.” Jul 22, 2005 by
Becky from Springfield, MO
“I wanted a non-smoking room and they only had smoking. The entire hotel was not in good condition. The hallway air wasn't working, the carpet was rolled up in places--it was generally dirty. When we came back from dinner, our room was covered in ants--on the floor, the beds, the counters, our stuff. When I asked for a new room, they said there were none but I could have a can of spray. Later when I said I was leaving, they found another room--also with ants and a bad air conditioner, so I refused it. I had to take my 1 year old daughter out at 10:30 at night to find a new hotel. There were none in town, so we had to go 40 miles. Not a good experience. I would never stay at this hotel again.” Jul 7, 2005 by
Katie from Rochester, IL
“very basic accommodations; free breakfast was a real plus; very quiet - we did not hear other guests or traffic even though we right off the highway” Jul 7, 2005 by
Patsy from Lancaster, KY
“Very clean, and found it to be better than what we expected.” Jun 28, 2005 by
Connie from Decatur, IL
“It was okay for the price we paid. I would be sad if I got this particular hotel again. However, our experience before was wonderful.” Jun 24, 2005 by
Rick from Chattanooga, TN
“Once, we were able to find out how to get to Baymont Hotel from the main road ( due to road construction which blocked the normal entrance)we were pleased with everything: front desk,Room, and Breakfast.” Jun 17, 2005 by
Jeff from Louisville, KY
“Nice room, clean, decent breakfast included. Overall, it was fine.” Jun 15, 2005 by
Jeff from Eau Claire, WI
“This hotel would rate a one star or very poor. No detour was marked so we had to ask for directions at a gas station. The hotel was clean, but in very poor condition. No pool for the kids is a big disappointment for travelers. ” Jun 6, 2005 by
Icle from Jacksonville, FL
“There was construction in front of the hotel making it almost impossible to find. The room smelled of smoke even though it was suppose to be a non smoking room..” May 24, 2005 by
Melissa from Danville, KY
“For some reason, the second floor hallway had no a/c and there was a HORRIBLE musty odor. When I entered the room, the a/c was off and the window was open. It was very humid and had a very musty/mildew odor. It took several hours to get the room cooled down and lessen the musty odor. It seemed apparent that they were having some type of water/leak problem. Also, the entrance to the hotel was difficult to find due to construction. I realize this is a temporary situation, but the road signs need to be clear.” May 17, 2005 by
Bettye from Colorado Springs, CO
“First problem was getting to the hotel. There was construction that prevented entrance and there were no directional/detour signs posted although the hotel staff said there was. It took us an extra 30 minutes to find a way to get to the hotel parking lot. Once we checked in and got our room, we opened the door and were practically knocked over by cigarette smoke odor. I went back to the front desk and reported this and was told that was the last nonsmoking room available. The parking lot was less that 1/4 full, so I can only assume the percentage of nonsmoking rooms at this facility is very small compared to the smoking rooms. The front desk rep said that management typically tolerates guests smoking in nonsmoking rooms witout penalty. I was offered an odor masking chemical, which I would have to spray in the room myself. That did not keep my husband from having an asthmatic reaction to the smoke, but we had no other choice. Thirty minutes later, the front desk rep called and offered us a handicapped equipped room with one double bed. My husband is a very big man, so this was not an option for us. ” May 11, 2005 by
Nancy from Cape Girardeau, MO
“The Baymont was ok if a person just needed a place to sleep. My 9 yr old & I had brought our swim suits; however, there was no pool available. Also, no fitness center. The hotel was not located in an area conducive for walking.... thus, no exercise.” May 9, 2005 by
Gloria from Goshen, KY
“The hotel was okay, nothing extravagant but that's what I booked since I knew I wouldn't be there long. Getting to the hotel was terrible. The road was closed and there was no sign to instruct on how to get to it. Someone told me I had to go through the construction site to get to it. I may have done damage to my vehicle because of it.” May 7, 2005 by
Ken from Winfield, IL
“I would stay in this hotel again. it was nicely furnished and made you feel at home.” May 3, 2005 by
Kathy from South Beloit, IL
“This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel and have enjoyed my visit both times. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is great. The construction that is happening to the roads made us take a detour about 4-5 miles out of our way, which was a hassle. But this will not last forever.” Mar 14, 2005 by
Donald from Bloomington, IL
“What struck me most was the color scheme of the halls and rooms.......very pleasing, soft and pretty...different from any other I have experienced. Never the less, this hotel's location was NOT in the congested area of motels, restaurants and retail stores located one mile away, but rather by itself.” Feb 15, 2005 by
James from Henderson, KY
“Prompt, courteous staff, with a good continental breakfast! The only problem was the back of the hotel was being held up by a 2X4 plank on the outside of the building.” Feb 4, 2005 by
Jason from Newark, OH
“Overall a decent stay. Not very expensive at $50/night. Quiet. Most staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was poor.” Jan 24, 2005 by
Eric from Southaven, MS
“I would recomend this hotel for everybody, and I definitely would stay one more time in this hotel if I needed a hotel.” Jan 16, 2005 by
Rick from Woodhull, IL
“thought was great. Stayed there 2 weeks before going to Florida, and requested same place coming back and luckily got it.” Jan 15, 2005 by
Rick from Woodhull, IL
“ It was a place to stay on the way to Florida. It was so great,” Jan 14, 2005 by
John from Rockford, IL
“Good place for a travel stop. Good breakfast.” Oct 6, 2004 by
Keith G. from Lakeland “The hotel isn't the newest hotel in Paducah but I would stay there many times over due to the friendly attitudes and accommodating gestures exhibited by the hotel staff. I was impressed with everyone in the hotel from the desk personnel to the housekeeper.” Sep 20, 2004 by
Tim S. from Motron, IL “I would not put it above a 2 star. It was not a bad place but the quality was not up to the standard of most 2.5 stars we have stayed in. Nice staff, well located, great breakfast, but could have been a touch nicer.” Sep 13, 2004 by
Paul A. from St Peters, MO “An older property that is actually well taken care of. A little off the beaten path although the main business district is only one exit down the interstate. I've stayed here before and it's fine.” Sep 10, 2004 by
Mary S. from Chicago “I loved the hotel and my husband and I were very pleased. Thank you for great service and for providing an affordable price. I thought we would not make the trip but things turned out better than we expected and so we went ahead and took the trip. We're happy we did...Thank you again. I must say the insurance that is provided is not good, had we not been able to make the trip I don't think we would have been reimbursed from the insurance company so I will never purchase the insurance and I will tell my friends it does not pay to take.” Sep 4, 2004 by
Linda M. from Tower Hill, IL “The staff was excellent. Our room was wet. Water had leaked in and the floor was wet and it smelled of mildew. We would have requested different room if more than 1 night. It was clean and other than above complaint we were satisfied. Thank You.” Hotel Representatives:
