“Everything was fine other than the rowdy students from Seymour. They were up all night making noise and left a mess on the floor each evening.” Feb 20, 2006 by
John from Westfield, IN
“Location good for overnight sleeping when traveling, however no restaurants close. Bathroom in our room was extremely dirty! Hair on floor and in shower, tub would not drain properly and water backed up into the tub. There appeared to be dried blood on bathroom door. We arrived late and did not have time to get another room, I couldn't shower and was very unhappy.” Dec 31, 2005 by
Kristin from Osseo, WI
“My opinion is that from listening to my daughter who I got the room for a Christmas visit.” Dec 14, 2005 by
Peggy from Elk Grove, IL
“Great hotel, good food, nice staff, friendly.” Dec 12, 2005 by
James G. from Soldiers Grove, WI
“Thought that the staff at the desk/front should be knowledgeable and be familiar with the language of the country they are in. Morning person at desk could not relate information to us real well. But other than that most of the staff were helpful and friendly.” Dec 12, 2005 by
Mary from Fort Atkinson, WI
“I had called early in the morning to request nonsmoking and a late check out due to the fact I would not be arriving until 6:00 on Sunday morning. He refused to give me a late check out the desk person on night was more than happy to give me until 1:00 p.m. When I went to check out the same day desk person made a comment about the check out time, then asked where I worked. I live 45 minutes from work it sure saves sleeping time when I can stay closer to work. I could not do that if I paid regular prices.” Nov 16, 2005 by
Judy from Rochester, MN
“The mattress had no back support. I had a backache for 2 days after the hotel stay.” Oct 5, 2005 by
Tom from Cable, WI
“It is new and well kept. The location is close to the interstate (I 90/94).” Aug 17, 2005 by
Gail from Rockford, IL
“The room was large and clean. Had a slight herbal smell that I really didn't like, but got used to once you were in the room. Great pool & hot tub. Easy to get to.” Mar 15, 2005 by
Gary from Menasha, WI
“I rented two rooms for two nights-one room was too hot and other too cold- thermostats didn't work to correct problem-staff couldn't seem able to fix problem either-waffle irons worn out and waffles stuck for everyone-no matter how much spray used-I would stay again if beds were longer” Feb 23, 2005 by
Barb from Schofield, WI
“Location makes it fast & easy to reach most destinations in Madison. Pool and hot tub larger than expected from website photo. Great breakfast buffet with eggs, sausage, fresh waffles and more. Really saves money traveling with teens. Staff was very helpful and professional. Unfortunately, the pillows were very thin and hard, plus the beds felt like the old fashioned extra-firm variety. Room had microwave and fridge. Loved the double closet with doors. Includes a safe to use at no charge. Very nice property except for the pillows and beds.” Feb 22, 2005 by
Christine from Marathon, WI
“The room was perfect-I didn't even need to show a credit card. They served a warm breakfast. The heat was turned on for us when we arrived.” Feb 16, 2005 by
Shari from New Holstein, WI
“Although there are no restaurants near this hotel, they serve a very nice complimentary breakfast buffet. The hotel is clean and pleasant.” Feb 14, 2005 by
William from Schaumburg, IL
“The staff were very friendly and helpful, the morning breakfast was nice and enjoyable. The hotel, overall, was very quiet and restful. Overall, a pleasant experience.” Feb 10, 2005 by
John from Bloomfield Hills, MI
“Perfect for overnight business traveler who does not use fancy facilities but wants a nice room with good wireless and wired internet access FREE.” Jan 25, 2005 by
Mike from Waupaca, WI
“This hotel has the amenities of a higher rated hotel, not sure why it's rated the way it is. Service was excellent, there's a pool, fitness center, free calling, wi-fi in every room, full breakfast, micro and fridge in our room, very nice. Only downside is there are no restaurants nearby.” Jan 14, 2005 by
Shari from New Holstein, WI
“This is a pleasant, clean hotel. Although I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, it also meant that we had a drive to get to restaurants.” Sep 22, 2004 by
Carly B. from Lincoln “Relative to the amount of money I saved by staying at the Wingate, the quality of service was very good, and it was a pleasant, clean environment. There was a complimentary breakfast, which had a variety of items. It is a little farther away from the central area of town than a lot of other hotels, but considering the money saved, it was an excellent hotel.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
