• A little far from most activities.

“The La Quinta was great! Our room was comfortable and clean, the amenities were above expectations, and the staff was as courteous and helpful as any hotel we have ever stayed at. The combination of comfort and service really made our trip and our stay very enjoyable. Highly recommended!”

“I look for a clean room and a comfortable bed and found both here. I was on the fourth floor near the elevator, and it still seemed quiet for a hotel. Nice staff and a good breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.”

• Nice beds, large bathrooms, generous-sized room with couches and desk, fridge and microwave, nice pool and hot-tub.
• Environmental policy was not practiced by staff and location too far from downtown.

“We loved the room we stayed in. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable but we did not care for the polyester blankets and comforter. We had a pull-out couch and armchair, desk with internet access for computer use, nice sized fridge and microwave. It was a bit far for our daily drives into downtown Madison, but we enjoyed our stay very much.”

• Wonderful breakfast - hot scrambled eggs, yogurt, etc. Very nice swimming area/ courtyard.
• One of us said that the beds were uncomfortable. Would be hard to find without specific directions.

“Great location for shopping in Madison. Hot breakfast with many healthy choices. Very nice staff. Laundry facilities were helpful to us, with some unexpected hazards that came up for our children. Pool and courtyard area were also very nice.”

• Good Continental Breakfast... POOL OPEN 'TIL MIDNIGHT! Bonus!
• We were near the smoking section... you could tell in the hallway!

“Good room, but the hallway we were in you could tell the smoking section was nearby. Great Continental Breakfast, and the Pool was nice... although WAY TOO MANY KIDS with no shirt & Shoes! and seeing a man in his 50's with no shirt on coming from the pool is not all that great!”

• It was classy and clean. The breakfast was good.
• No fan in the bathroom and borderline suite with couch being not another room but next to the bed,

“Front desk was friendly and gracious. The room was clean but not as nice as Embassy suites. We asked for extra towels and pillows because they were set up for two not three. The next day we had to call again for another bath towel. Smoking area out the back door was too close to the door which forced you to walk through the smoke.”

“La Quinta is a relatively new hotel, set in the industrial park called American Park, adjacent to Interstate 94 and Route 151. Lobby and hallway areas' luxurious feel is well above average for this chain, as are pool/whirlpool area. Breakfast options are exceptional. Rooms are nicely appointed.”

• It would be hard to find -- especially if one was new to the area. I would have liked to have a fast food (or a chain restaurant) in the area.

“This is a very nice, new hotel, in the somewhat confusing and rapidly growing superb of Sun Prairie. It's very convenient off of 90/94, but far from downtown (as are most of the hotels in its class and price range). Be sure you get directions to it before you leave, you won't find it without some kind of help.”

• Loved the size of the bed and the size of the room. It was great having a sitting area in the room.
• Initially, the room smelled like cigarette smoke. We asked the cleaning lady to help us out. She sprayed some deodorant and we never smelled it again.

“It was a great surprise! To have such a nice, spacious, clean room with a wonderful continental breakfast! I would recommend it to absolutely everyone I meet!”

• It was beautiful, clean, and very accommodating.
• Absolutely nothing.

“My mother and I were returning to Omaha after a weekend at the Dells. We needed a place close to the airport, which it was (plus a free shuttle). It looked as if it were brand new, but after asking, I found out it had been renovated. Everything sparkled like new, and it was clean and appealing to the eye. The Continental breakfast was perfect, and the people were very helpful when we needed information.”

• This hotel was very appealing inside. Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly.
• When I booked the room it was a king. I called and they put us down for 2 queens. When we arrived it was a king again. Time /$ wasted on the call.

“The hotel was very nice. It was a little farther from the center of town than we were hoping for. It was difficult to find because the sign age was poor. There was a wonderful breakfast buffet and a terrific pool area.”

• It is hard to get to from the Interstate 90-94.

“This hotel was a pleasant experience for my wife and me. The breakfast area was congested because of the layout of the food line. The food was adequate. The hotel staffer who was parking did a good job keeping the few line stocked. There were a lot of families with young children and this would be a great place to have a weekend with your family!”

“La Quinta used to be Woodsfield Suites. Woodsfield had a complementary happy hour. La Quinta still has this large bar area that is right after the lobby, a focus point of the hotel. They should do something with the space.”
