• Very roomy (king suite) - had all the amenities - close to shopping, etc
• In room lighting could be improved.

“We like to stay in really nice places. Had not used Best Western in 20 years. This is our second stay here - VERY nice - immaculate and attractive - great pool area - all the amenities. King suite sitting area larger than most. In room fridge and microwave. Wireless internet. Great staff. Free hot breakfast.”

• Location, very convenient to things and breakfast.
• The smell.

“I would have given this hotel a better grade on cleanliness, but the room had an awful smell. It was actually hard to sleep.I mentioned it to the staff, but nothing was done. Smelled like it needed some major fresh air.”

• Comfortable, clean, friendly, and was helpful.
• Loud fan/cooling system.

“Clean, friendly, nice pool and hot tub. Quiet surroundings, hot breakfast. Forwarned of the construction work that was to start between 6 and 7 am. Even that was OK!”

• Good location.
• Very poor room, conference room with trundle bed folding out of wall.

“The room was very poor. The room was a conference room with a single, full size bed that folded out of a wall. The bed was not folded down at my arrival, and this was obviously not a room which could be sold normally to the public. This was not a normal hotel room.”

• The location wasn't bad for getting downtown.
• Musty and old.

“This hotel appeared to be somewhat updated, but it just has that really used feeling. The carpet was extremely dirty in our room as evidenced by the socks and pants of our 1 year old. There is a a musty odor throughout. I was expecting the cleanliness that I usually experience at a decent Hampton Inn and this was far below that. Avoid the breakfast--trust me. I would limit the Madison east search to a 3 star rating to avoid this hotel.”

• The full breakfast and location.
• The staff and the room.

“My stay would have been better if it were different staff and if my room was as promised. I book a room for 2 people and the first room they gave me was only for one. The cable went out at least six times, the TV was not mounted probably on the stand so it was scared turning it. The lighting was the absolute worst. I would NOT stay at that hotel again.”

• The hotel was very clean and the staff was great.

“My spouse and I left Wisconsin for an across country trip to Vancouver, Canada. Of all the hotels we stayed in, this was the best overall. Would definitely stay here again.”

• Convenient to highway and shopping and good free breakfast.
• Room setup was inconvenient, air conditioner did not work, desk check in was confusing.

“The next time we are in Madison, we will probably stay somewhere else. The room had one TV set up between the bedroom and the sitting area. To watch from either location, you had to twist your neck. Also, the air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the night and the desk person was confused about check in procedures.”

• The extra area where the pull-out bed and couch was created more space to move around in. Yeah!

“Very clean, comfortable and roomy enough for my family to move around comfortably during our stay. The Continental breakfast was wholesome and hardy! Loved the family atmosphere in the breakfast room and lay out of the pool area. We very much enjoyed our time at this hotel!”
