• Spacious room.
• Fluorescent light buzzing was very annoying, not in walking distance from downtown.

“Room was spacious and perfectly adequate, but some of the details were not right: Fluorescent light buzzing, old-style AC/heater, broken wheel on a chair.”

• The drink/snack bar in the afternoon was a great touch!
• I can't say anything was unlikable.

“A very clean, quiet hotel with a great breakfast bar and a nice afternoon beverage/snack bar. Sufficient parking on the grounds, even for oversize/over height vehicles.”

• Very friendly, helpful staff.
• The pool room was too dark. No natural sunlight and It is next door to a jail.

• The layout of the suite and the amenities in the kitchen were so great for accommodating our toddler's schedule and need to relax in the room.
• We really loved the hotel. Everyone was very friendly and it was very nice and clean.

“When traveling with a toddler, it is essential that you have a few of the amenities of home. This hotel had everything. It really was a home away from home.”

• Rooms were clean, large. Good hot breakfast.
• Only full size bed with sofa in room. Drab decor.

“Hotel was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Good hot breakfast, but eating area tended to get messy by end of breakfast time. Rooms are large but seem empty. Nice sized fridge. Decor is slightly drab, not terribly cozy or inviting. Surprised bed was only full size for such a large room. Fold-out sofa not too comfortable. No smoking anywhere in hotel, but smokers tended to congregate at front door stinking up the entrance. Good central location. Close to downtown. Free parking. Pool decent but not spectacular. Not restaurant on site. Most importantly room and hotel were clean.”

• There was complimentary water bottles in the room and check out were at noon.
• The carpet in the hallway looked dirty/worn.

“The room was comfortable with a mini-kitchen included which was very convenient. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was available although I did not have any. Overall, I had a good experience with the hotel and would stay there again.”

• The room we had was huge and exceptionally clean.
• There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel.

“We only stayed in our room, that is, we didn't use any of the other facilities such as the pool or complimentary breakfast. The hotel itself was very accessible, however, and perfectly located in relation to our destination on the UW campus.”

• I definitely like the layout of the room with the kitchen, and sitting area.
• As with a lot of hotels, the carpet and chairs need to be cleaned more often to eliminate odors.

“Enjoyed my stay at this hotel on many different levels: location, room layout, and morning breakfast, kitchen with refrigerator and microwave and pool. Would definitely recommend it.”

• Close to downtown.
• Very uncomfortable mattress, too many kids.

“We stayed at the Clarion Suites during a middle school national cheer leading conference. The noise wasn't too bad but the breakfast area was terribly busy and messy and it was impossible to use the elevator in a timely manner.”

• The microwave in room, free parking, clean.
• It was not as close to downtown as I had hoped.

“The hotel was great. The only drawback was the location. It wasn't within walking distance of the downtown area, though it was a short drive.”

• It was very spacious and comfortable for all of us.
• I would like a sink out side the bathroom on the counter so if someone was showering you could still finish getting ready.

“We only stayed over one night, but it was very affordable and convenient for what we were in Madison for. The staff was very friendly and helped us with directions. The one man even did a quick mapquest so we wouldn't get mixed up. The rooms were very comfortable for all of us. We did take a dip in the pool and enjoyed the hot tub quite a bit. It was a very nice place to stay. We would definitely stay at a Clarion again”

“Nothing extraordinary, but there wasn't really anything bad about it. It was an average hotel that was close to downtown Madison. The rooms were actually bigger than I expected and I have an overall positive impression of the hotel.”

• Very professional and friendly staff.
• Unfortunately, I got a smoking room the first night. Fortunately, the staff switched me to non-smoking after that.

“This hotel was all that I expected and more. It is very clean. The beds were excellent and the rooms well appointed. I believe that almost everyone would be satisfied. I know that I was very happy with my stay.”

“Convenient location to many destinations in Madison. The pool was a little undersized for the size of the hotel. Housekeeping was minimal. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff was courteous. The price was too high compared to comparable hotels.”
