• Located close to the wedding, we attended. Clean and good food in the restaurant.
• Restaurant was hugely overpriced. Would have preferred a queen bed.

• The staff was amazing. I felt they wanted my stay to be nice.
• I got below average service at the hotel.

“Overall my stay was great. We were in town one night for a wedding. I felt the staff wanted us to enjoy our stay. Everything went perfectly. The room was nice and featured an LG HD TV and we got a paper the next morning. When I called the shuttle for a ride from the wedding we were attending I was informed it was no longer running, however they called a cab and paid the fair. Overall I had a great experience.”

• Great fitness center and pool!
• Sauna didn't work well; water bottle in room pricey.

“Hotel was very neat and clean. Beds were super comfortable and bed linens were soft! Nice Starbucks coffee was available in room. Convenient location, close enough to campus, bike and walking trail. Great pool and fitness center. Would definitely stay there again.”

• It is a little far from downtown.

“The hotel was very nice and met our expectations for the star rating. It is a bit far from downtown. They do, however, provide a courtesy shuttle to downtown I believe.”

• Nice lobby.
• Didn't provide room with bath towels, only hand!

“The hotel has quick access to the "beltline". The lobby is nice but the hallways to the rooms are from about 1984 and are in desperate need of new paint and carpet. Rooms are fine for short trips through Madison.”

• Personnel were very friendly and helpful, overall quality of service, hotel rooms and facilities excellent for the price.
• Hotel not located immediately downtown, but closeby.

“Located just outside downtown Madison, the Sheraton provides excellent comfort with luxurious well equipped rooms, with great public facilities and exceptionally friendly and helpful personnel. Overall quality of the experience was superb.”

• Staff very accommodating to meet my needs with a room change.
• No views.

“The hotel was more "deluxe" than I was expecting, with a surprising "Swiss Hotels" feel in its decor. The staff was very accommodating in my request to change rooms away from some boisterous guests. Though there wasn't much sitting room in my room (1 chair tucked in a corner), it was probably the MOST comfortable bedding I've had in a hotel room in a long time. Unless youre eon the backside of the hotel you won't get a view of much, but the location, just off the Beltline and next to a major park, was most convenient.”

• The bathrooms in the hotel rooms were not set up for convenience.

“The hotel was very nice. We would go there again! The only thing we had a problem with was the bathroom. They weren't setup for convenience! Overall, it was a lovely experience!”

“Enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We were riding our motorcycle and rain was expected later the evening. They allowed us to park the bike under shelter and not in the general parking areas. Responded to all our needs to include fast friendly service. Will stay there again.”

• The front desk clerks were very attentive, efficient and helpful. The free parking was great.
• The beds were a too small.

“Very convenient. Easy to get to, easy to register, easy to park. We didn't have very much interaction with the hotel personnel (in itself a good sign) but all contacts we had were pleasant, helpful and efficient. No complaints here.”

• Uncomfortable beds, no free in room internet access.

“Great location, friendly staff, fantastic amenities. My only real complaints are that there was no free in-room internet access and that I basically had a sleepless night because the bed and pillows were so uncomfortable; I am not normally a person who has a difficult time sleeping (period, or at a hotel), and the lack of sleep affected the rest of my trip.”

• Early check in, fantastic pool room, modern decor, good TV options, free and convenient parking.
• Remote control didn't work well, not close walking distance to downtown, average view.

“This hotel was perfect for a weekend in Madison. It's not really walk able to downtown/State sty. area, but close to Lake Minona and on bike path. Plus parking is free and very convenient, so it's easy enough to drive anywhere you need to go. Because the weather was a little chilly, the highlight of the trip for us was the hotel pool room. It was perfectly warm and humid, pool was warm and large. Hot tub and sauna were also available. The room TV had Showtime, which was nice while relaxing in the room. Only complaint was that the remote didn't work well and there was not much to see out the window.”

• Appearance of the room was very pleasing.
• Shower, door lock, clock radio.

“Facilities were nice, clean and fresh. However, the shower was very poor - barely a gentle flow. The door lock was faulty. After securing a replacement key I still spent many minutes gaining entry to my room each time I used the key. Lastly, I had to unplug the clock radio as an electronic noise emitted from it every 5-10 minutes.”

• The pool and Jacuzzi were nice. The staff, very friendly.
• Parking was a bit of a challenge as convention center nearby.

“I thought the staff was great and the hotel seemed freshly refurbished. You can surf web for free in lobby via 5 free computers in Sheraton Link area (nice living room concept). The pool and Jacuzzi were good. The bar was lively and food was quite good for mid-range hotel.”

• Friendly staff, decent workout area, local newspaper provided daily.
• Getting a handicapped room; staff's failure to fix shower head for my whole stay.

“I should not have had to complain to get complimentary internet access, when Sheraton's pay-wireless was blocking the free wireless service with which I travel. Also, "Guest Services" had two full days to tighten a shower head attachment, and failed to do so. Not very good performance, that.”

“It is several miles from downtown and in a very bad location right off the interstate and in a high-crime area. I was very disappointed - not because the hotel is bad, but because I wanted to stay within walking distance of Downtown.”

“Nice hotel. Nice staff. Rowdy hotel guests in the hall woke me up - had to call security. Then at 6 am Sunday morning, the alarm in the empty room next door went off! Please make sure hotel staff turn off alarms in all rooms.”

• The hotel is directly off the Beltline in Madison and accessible to Downtown.
• Our first room was not cleaned. The bed was not made, there were no face towels or shampoo and the toilet seat had residue! Obviously not cleaned.

“I would recommend checking Madison events prior to your stay. It is the state capitol and many high school events are held there throughout the year. We came at the tail end of the wrestling season and a day prior to the basketball playoffs. The room showed the wear and tear of unattended youth.”

• The food was excellent.
• Location is not close to downtown. Great for coliseum quests though.

“The Sheraton is mainly a convention hotel. My room was on an exhibition floor, very busy, not conducive to rest, hallway was cold and closed off eerie. Pool/spa area is inviting but meant a walk through the lobby area. Wireless access did not work, many quests were complaining, however management did give them coupons to be able to log on in rooms. Need free wireless access in rooms.”

• Very pretty, newly renovated rooms.
• The rooms were dirty, hairs in the bed, used coffee filter, etc.

“Hotel would have been great except for the issue of cleanliness. Also, there was a high school wrestling tournament while we were there, and they were pretty noisy until around 11 pm.”

• They didn't say that they would charge $25 for the dog's stay.

“It is within 10 minutes of downtown Madison / University of Wisconsin and is very clean with friendly staff. The pool / sauna / hot tub were okay as was the workout room. The rooms were nice and well appointed. That I would have had to pay for internet hookup seems like gouging.”

• The room and common areas were nicely decorated. The in-room LCD TV was a plus.
• I would have preferred free wireless Internet.

“The Sheraton is an excellent place for Madison visitors to stay. A renovation was completed recently and the rooms have a more modern look, though the room doors and hallways still have a 1980s appearance. In-room wireless Internet access costs $10/day, which would be a disappointment for business travelers. The location is close to Downtown but not within walking distance.”

• Upon check-in we were advised that we had receive a coupon for breakfast in the morning. However the morning desk staff said no such coupons existed.
