“We checked in and the toilet was running slowly, went down to desk asked if someone would take a look at it and was handed a plunger. Got to plunge what the last person couldn't flush. Not great customer service. That made the weekend.”

• Pool area small, but seemed smaller with several unsupervised young boys in there!

• The comfortable chairs friendly service.
• A little more out of the way for our purposes.

“My husband sees physicians at the UW Transplant Clinic. I am disabled (no w/c yet thankfully) and have difficulty sleeping in a bed. The Fairfield is about the only place that can somewhat accommodate me as I can use the easy chair and ottoman. It is by far the most comfortable place we've stayed in years, as well as the staff is about some of the friendliest persons we've encountered.”

• beautiful, clean and roomy
• too far from the event we were attending

“My room was clean, there was plenty of space in my room, and the area was very nice as far as the restaurants and such available. The breakfast was nice, choices kept full and the cook to order waffles were an awesome touch. I wish I would have known that there was a pool-I did not bring my suit and would have loved a swim after dinner. ”

• had a pool, jacuzzi, complimentary breakfast ,free internet access in the lobby and check out at 12pm
• had a specific lower class hotel smell - because of the pool? coffee was quite bad

• I was impressed by the friendly staff, cleanliness of the lobby and even more so - the room it self was GREAT!!
• I was woke up at 2 a.m. because someone said there was noise coming from my room, staff apologized but I couldn't fall back to sleep.

“The hotel site was CLEAN, the lobby was clean and fresh smelling, the breakfast was above and beyond expectations greater than most chain hotels that I have stayed in. I would recommend The Fairfield Inn chain to all my traveling friends. I wish though' - that the chain would have a pet acceptance policy - at least for small dogs only -”

“An extremely clean hotel in a great location. Right next to Denny's restaurant and less than a block from one of Middleton's shopping complexes. The room they initially gave us had a strong stale smoke odor, despite the fact it was a non-smoking room. ”

• Right near the beltway, so anywhere in Madison is a quick drive. But no highway noise.
• Sliding door on the bathroom didn't lock

• We got lost and the night person was great in getting us there.

“It was new and very nice. The night person was very, very nice and helpful. We got lost and she got us there in no time. The room was very clean and new looking. The continental breakfast had waffles and great fresh fruit. Overall, it was probably the nicest Fairfield Inn we have ever stayed at.”

• Would have been nice to have a mini-fridge in the room.

“A clean, modern hotel in a rapidly growing area (upscale shopping, etc.) in far west Madison/Middleton. Staff keeps the rooms and hotel environs very tidy. It's also adjacent to the Beltline highway -- it's about a 10-15 min. drive to downtown Madison and the Capitol area. Nice, seemed new; a good value.”

• pillows and the heater

“The pillows in the room are terrible to sleep on. There flat and small. I chose not to sleep on it at all after awhile. Gave me a neck pain the next day. The heater did not have a temperature control. I put the heater on low and then slept.”

• The staff did not try very hard to give us an acceptable room.

“The hotel was clean and nice for a 2 star hotel. It was small and the decor was not nice. The staff was friendly over the phone, but not helpful with meeting our accomodation needs. I also found that for a few dollars more I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel in the same area. ”

“There was a very nice continental breakfast included. I was not very satisfied with the smelly/smoking room my children and I had. I even asked for air freshener spray to help the situation. I will ask specifically for non smoking rooms in the future.”
