• Hard to find. Not convenient to anything.

“This hotel met my needs for the night. It is slightly confusing to find due to being accessed off of a service road from the mall parking lot. Otherwise, it was okay for the star level.”

• Kind of hard to get to; have to go thru mall parking lot.

“Nice 2 star hotel. Great to have an elevator. Outdoor pool was warm. Really liked the free breakfast; selection of fresh fruit, hot waffles, muffins, donuts, English muffins, bagels, and a wide variety of name-brand cereal-it was available until 10 am, so we got to sleep late and still eat. Clean and comfortable. Definitely, stay there again.”

• The breakfast provided was very good.
• There was a noise problem. The hotel has outside room doors. Our room was close to the outdoor pool.

“With the Inn & Suites in their name, we mistakenly thought we would have a suite. We had a very basic, clean room. The doors to guest rooms are on the outside. Because of this, we did have people and car noise. The breakfast provided was very good. Everything was clean. Everyone was friendly.”

“It was very had to find from the interstate. The room was damp. The shower curtain was stuck together. The pool was nice. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of items. The check out staff seemed attentive.”

• Carpeting warn, sink fixtures falling apart in bathroom.

“Breakfast is great, fresh and many choices. Much better than when it was the Fairfield a few years ago. Still in need of some rehabbing, especially the carpet and the fixtures that weren't attached to the sink at all.”

• Convenient location, good breakfast.
• Difficult to find the road/freeway exit to get to the hotel. Once you figure it out, the location is great.

• No hooks in bathroom for clothing/robes, etc&

“Although the facility was adequate, the assignment of a "handicapped" room presented some less than desirable situations. There were no "hooks" for hanging clothing or other items in the bathroom whatsoever, and the door opening into the room made the utilization of the space difficult. The facility was clean, and the breakfast was adequate.”

• The outdoor pool was nice for children.

“Although the pool was nice on a hot day and the complimentary breakfast was good, it was misleading for the hotel to report having standard rooms with two double beds. A front desk employee reported that they had converted to rooms with one queen each long ago. Our children had to sleep on an air mattress, as there was only one bed in the room for our family of four.”

• It was a nice comfortable room.
• The first room they gave me a key to already have someone staying in it.

“Although it appears that this hotel is right off of the interstate, it isn't. The reality is that it is hidden back in a corner of the northwards mall parking lot. That is not obvious when getting off the interstate to reach it, and I imagine more than one person has gotten lost trying to find it. However, once you do locate it and figure out the path back through the mall to it, you realize that it actually is very convenient to nearly all of Peoria. I had a nice clam room, comfortable bed. The breakfast was self-serve waffles, muffins, cereal, and fruit. A copy of the use today was also available. There is one computer station in the lobby (which can get a bit busy), and I understand access is also available in each room, though I did not need it. My room was above the pool, a little noisy one night, but I did not notice any room-to-room or elevator noise. All in all, a good room. Certainly worth the price I paid for it.”

• Nice hotel, room was perfect. Liked the fridge and microwave.
• Housekeeping knocked on our door every 1/2 hour, 2 hours prior to checkout.

“I had never stayed at Baymont before, but I will definitely consider staying again in the future. The only negative was that the cleaning staff kept knocking on my door a couple hours before checkout, seeing if I was leaving.”

• Was not happy with anything about our stay.
• The rooms were dirty, the tubs had mold & very unhappy.

“We had people below us with dogs that yipped all night (bad night of sleep). We had people above us that must of weighed a lot or the floors were bad because it sounded like they were going to fall in on us every time they walked. Room #234 carpet was filthy & we have kids with us. Room #232 had mold growing in corner of tub. ”

• Security was very good. You need a card to get into hallways.
• Multiple plugs plugged into an outlet.

“This hotel does a very good job on security of customers. The only thing I would change is the number of plugs plugged into the same outlet.”

• Room was dirty. Carpet was unclean. Surfaces were dirty. Cracker crumbs under bedspread (not mine)!

“Very poor. I cut my travel short a full day because I refused to stay another night in this hotel. Door was unmarked (and doors to the side were also unmarked so I could not figure out which room was mine). Carpets inside room and out were filthy. Peeling wallpaper inside room and out. Inside room, all surfaces and carpets were dirty. Shredded paper behind chair, a half a ritz cracker fell out of the bedspread as I peeled it back! I was shocked at the level of uncleanliness here. I put clean towels on the floor to walk on as I felt I could not walk around even in stockinged feet - much less barefoot. Fan in bathroom continually on. No temperature control - either freezing "fan" or heat. And I had to have one or the other on constantly to drown out noise from hallway and outside the hotel. Every door that opened or closed on my floor left my room quaking. Staff seemed unwilling to help. One was surfing "MySpace" instead of helping customers. The next refused to give me a receipt for my stay. I cannot say enough bad things about this experience! I can only hope that my being awake all night with the noise and going to my interview tired did not cause me to not get hired. That would make me very angry. ”

• Hotel was clean, and the continental breakfast was well done with helpful staff.
• Location. It's visible from the highway, and has highway address, but is accessible only thru shopping mall.

“This hotel is practical for short business trips, is clean with a friendly, helpful staff. Something should be done however, about access; perhaps some directional signs from the Interstate?”

“This motel has a fantastic continental breakfast. The maid service was timely. Please be sure you mention to clients this is a motel to outside. Great clean lobby and very friendly staff.”

• Construction causes confusion.

“Thankfully I knew that I had to enter the North woods mall to find the hotel. Otherwise, I'm not sure how long it would have taken me to find it. When the construction is completed it appears it will be SO EASY to find. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I called to say I would be late and heard "not a problem, we'll wait you so drive safe". When it came time to check in and they were being flooded with a sports team, my check in and check out combined was less than ten minutes. The room was just the basics, but it was clean, comfortable, and the a/c had been running so it was the perfect temp. Hairdryer, coffeemaker in room with plenty on the TV to keep me occupied on my business trip. Would definitely stay again for the price!!”

“With construction it was hard to get to the location. I called and the staff gave me very good directions around the construction and into the hotel. Not very handy but it worked. Breakfast was above average. Clean but tiny rooms. Probably ok at a 2* location.”

• Beds were not comfortable and pillows were flat.

“This hotel was clean, location was convenient, and had an awesome complimentary breakfast that included homemade waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs, bagels, fruit, and milk and juices. among other things. The beds were not very comfortable and the pillows were very flat, but other than that it was a pleasant stay.”

• My roommate is diabetic and needed refrigeration for supplies. They provided a refrigerator and a microwave without charge.
• Road construction makes it difficult to get to, but this will take care of itself in a year, hopefully.

• I like the way I was greeted when I arrived. The enthusiasm of the girls started my stay on a happy positive note.
• Nothing.

• Due to construction it was somewhat difficult to reach.

“Overall it was a pleasant experience. There was a large motorcycle convention going on in town and a sizable group stayed at our motel. Their presence made our stay a bit uncomfortable. Good thing we got up quite early or we would not have had a place to sit and may not have had a good food selection left.”

• The hotel was nice but too much constructions in the city made it not a good place to go.
• Too much constructions in the whole city and in front of the hotel made it hard to get to. Also didn't have a hot tube by the pool.

“If you want a really low budget, no frills experience, this is your place! The beds are not comfy, the bathroom sink area is so small you have to juggle things to get morning basics done, the breakfast was not great and the TV was a fuzzy mess. Good thing we had plenty to do outside the hotel!”

• We had to come back the same day we checked out and the desk clerk remembered my name.
• No hide a way bed and our toilet wasn't cleaned the next day while we were out.

“My family and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel except there were no hide a way beds. That was very inconvenient for us we have 4 small children. I really enjoyed the lady that attended to the continental breakfast, she was very friendly. the desk clerk also remembered my name when we checked back in. I thought that was very nice. ”

• The continental breakfast was superb! There was a large variety of foods, including some that were healthy!
• Its location left much to be desired. You could see it from the highway, but access was available only thru nearby shopping mall.

“The service was outstanding. I spoke to a desk clerk after midnight who navigated us fro the highway thru the parking lot to the hotel. The continental breakfast offered more than the typical coffee, doughnut, dry cereal combo. USA Today was available as well as internet access.”
