“This was a German style hotel (jumpers) turned into a Radisson. Some nice room upgrades. Not the best I have stayed in.” Jul 24, 2007 by
Debra L. from West Allis, WI
“Very pleased with the comfort, cleanliness, the quality of food and services. Would definitely stay again.” Jun 30, 2007 by
Ken from Oak Lawn, IL
“This hotel looks like an upper-middle-class European hotel of a bygone era; one can see hotels around the German spas like this one. There was a very nice, and reasonably priced, restaurant; a drink at the hotel bar was also fairly priced (not cheap, but certainly no more than one would expect to pay in any decent bar). heat gathered in the upper level of the suite. Staff brought in a fan which succeeded in circulating the cool air into that upper level, minimizing that discomfort. The spiral staircase connecting the two levels was extremely Narrow and quite steep. Had my wife and I each weighed perhaps 20 pounds more, we would not have been able to get up and down the staircase (making my recent loss of about 15 pounds an even better thing than I knew at the time). overall, I loved it.” Jun 21, 2007 by
Caroline from St. Petersburg, FL
“Overall, they were very friendly and accommodating. It was very convenient location for visiting family too. The pool area was a bit gross the one time we visited it. My kids kept finding stuff like rubber bands at the bottom of the pool. There was an old, gross Band-Aid on the floor and beer bottles in the pool area.” Jun 20, 2007 by
Mark from Hazelwood, MO
“This location is old, out of date and not a good value. The pictures make the hotel look more attractive&” Mar 28, 2007 by
Lindsey from Morrison, IL
“It's a nice hotel close to downtown but out of the way for a little bit for shopping and convenience. Borders on the ghetto and the pool area are kind of nasty but the room was nice.” Mar 27, 2007 by
Judy from Granville, IL
“Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Check in time was 3:00 we arrived at 2:30. We were put in a room fairly quickly but we were not in a sleep. Bed room like our kids had asked for. We had to wait for that between 1-2 hours. Had to ask for ashtrays if you requested a smoking room should not they put ashtrays in the room?” Mar 18, 2007 by
Elaine from Rolla, MO
“This beautiful hotel! I loved the antique furniture in the common places plus the stained glass windows in the rooms. The hotel staff was outstanding! They went above & beyond in customer service. ” Feb 13, 2007 by
Crystal from Cedar Falls, IA
“The parking lot is really far away from the hotel. The front desk person gave us wrong directions. We then had to use three different keys to get into our room because they kept giving us ones that didn't work. We requested a king room and they gave us a double and wouldn't switch us¿” Nov 14, 2006 by
Stephanie from Princeton, IL
“I would not go back to this hotel. It has been renovated, but not completely. It does not live up to the standards and expectations of a Radisson. It's like a generic version of Radisson. We had to be moved because there was dirt and animal hair on the beds and benches and the next room was the same. The remodel was extremely poor quality. The pictures on the website make it looks high class, but in reality - once in the room it feels like a no-tell motel. I felt deceived.” Oct 24, 2006 by
Ruthie from Lafayette, IN
“I was totally unimpressed with this Radisson Hotel. I believe that I would have gotten more sleep just staying in my car! I barely received an apology for the experience that my family endured. Definitely won't stay there again!” Oct 18, 2006 by
Doug from Mount Zion, IL
“Overall, a nice hotel and I would stay there again if the opportunity arises.” Aug 25, 2006 by
Joy from Greenville, SC
“We flew into Peoria to drive our daughter to college an hour away. Got back late and we were blown away by the European beauty of this impressive landmark. We stepped into the lobby and felt as if we were in France or Germany. The room was beautiful and even our teenage son was very impressed. Sumptuous, old world beauty. I was even able to complete an eBay bid in the business center, then we settled in with room service. Biggest drawback? We had to leave for the airport at 5am and didn¿t stay long enough. No one who stays here will be disappointed. Looking forward to visiting this incredible treat in the heart of Illinois again!!” Jul 28, 2006 by
Sonia from Bloomington, IL
“I will never stay there again. I was charged on my cc by the hotel. The hotel didn't even bother to return my call when I called to explain. Not a way to do business. I'm in the customer service industry with a fortune 500 company and this is not the way to do business. Note 5/10, that's the percentage ratio for people telling about a good/bad experience.” Jul 26, 2006 by
Roy from Memphis, TN
“Great location....” Jul 7, 2006 by
Margaret from Brookfield, WI
“Hotel needs major re-do. Carpet stained and ripped, common areas like hallway, elevator, front lobby had odors. Common area furniture (hallway off elevator) was ripped. Location within Peoria was not safe to run or jog in. Parking was very far from front door. Bed was very comfortable, I was expecting a sleep number bed per the commercials, however I did not get one, nor did I ask, because by the time I got my key card for the room, I determined I would not stay there again. Staff and front lobby service was good. Property needs a renovation, and the neighborhood is a big negative as well.” Jul 3, 2006 by
Leann from Cedar Falls, IA
“The room did not meet what I think Radisson's standards are.” Apr 16, 2006 by
Steven from Decatur, IL
“This has always been an excellent hotel. We have stayed there often when it was a Jumpers hotel before it became a Radisson. They have continued to provide excellent service.” Apr 6, 2006 by
Ulrich from Sugar Land, TX
“I will definitely use you again next week in Amsterdam.” Apr 4, 2006 by
David from Spring Grove, IL
“When we entered the room the toilet need maintenance, and the carpeting, which was creamy yellow was dirty and had not been cleaned in ages. Desk clerk said she was putting us on the quiet side of the building. At 4 a.m. the delivery and garbage trucks started both mornings while we were there. So ended the sleep time!” Mar 29, 2006 by
Ed from Park Ridge, IL
“Somehow, we will always call this Hotel by it's original name, Jumpers (before Radisson acquired it). When I was a student at nearby Bradley University, 20 years ago, we always conned our parents into the Sunday German brunch there when they would visit. And they always looked forward to staying there. Today, the old German influences are still there. The quirky decor, the dark woods, Tudor design and winding halls. But the guest rooms are even better now. More modern, they even seem cleaner than before. The hotel staff doesn't seem as nice and invested as they were before, though the restaurant staff was as friendly as ever. I miss all the German dishes that used to be on the menu. Today it's pretty average food that you might find in any slightly upscale hotel restaurant. The decaying pool room area is pretty horrifying, and the exercise room is pretty non-existent (one piece of dilapidated equipment). Besides the University (about a half mile away), there really isn't any place of interest nearby to walk to.” Mar 20, 2006 by
Andrew from Decatur, GA
“The hotel rooms were average at best. I had to change rooms three times. First time, the carpet in my room was all wet. Second time, the bed sheets had obviously not been changed from the prior guest. Third, carpet was filthy (stained with French fries near the edge of the bed and candy near the TV). The workout facility was a dumb (treadmills did not even work).” Mar 15, 2006 by
Cheryl from Bloomington, IL
“The place is very unique in decor, clean. We are used to staying in places that cater to the customer, and when we asked for a late checkout because we were running behind (with children), the service lady answered us with a no and absolutely no exceptions. They also have a note in every room that lets the guest know there will be a towel count, and if any are missing, the prices are listed that will charged to your account. Not very high-class, maybe they don't have a high-class clientele.” Mar 13, 2006 by
Kelly from Hillside, IL
“This hotel was dirty. There was storage and junk on the balcony above the pool. My room was not clean and I had to have my sheets changed when I checked in. The lock on the connecting door was broken and I had to have maintenance there fixing it. When I went to take a shower there was hair and soap scum in the tub and someone's clothes hanging on the back of the bathroom door. The granite counter top in bathroom was separated from the wall and about to fall if it were not for the plumbing holding it up. The coffee pot was dirty when I went to use it with the previous occupiers' coffee still in it. I wont be staying there again or referring it to anyone else. They did not offer me any reason to ever come back. They were made aware of all of these things and no compensation was made what so ever, just sorry.” Dec 5, 2005 by
Chris from Arlington Heights, IL
“Good location for anyone interested in Bradley University or downtown location. Hotel, despite recent renovation, is still dated.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
