“No one in my family are smokers, so staying in a room that smelled of smoke for two days was not the best. After we came home we had to wash all of our clothes, even the extras that we hadn't worn because they smelled of smoke. Also, while we were staying there, there was a convention staying and we had to wait for the one elevator that they had. Sometimes we had to wait 2 or more trips before we were able to get on the elevator. We would have used the stairs but once you entered the stairwell you could only exit outside on a basement level, you couldn't get back onto any of the other floors.” Jul 9, 2008 by

“Need new staff at front desk, they tried to charge us for local phone call. Very unsatisfied.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Crystal from Kenosha, WY
“The room was average, but served its purpose. Despite one review our experience with the pool was that it was fairly warm. The continental breakfast was decent. All and all for the age of the hotel I would say it was nice.” Jan 3, 2008 by
Kaylen from Washington, IL
“The hotel in all was great. The fact that it said the pool was heated was great, but when I went swimming it was freezing. I was looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub but it was cold too. The breakfast in the morning was great.” Oct 10, 2007 by
Quinn from Red Bud, IL
“The hotel was awful. The room smelled and wasn't clean. There were stains all over the bathroom. The bathroom sink did not work and the shower was covered in soap scum. The pool was dirty and the sodas in the machine were out of date. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It needs to be completely renovated.” Jul 11, 2007 by
Shelby from Saint Charles, MO
“For the amount charged, the hotel should be updated and cleaned thoroughly. The fitness room was just a hotel room with a regular hotel room door. Not safe as anyone who has a room card has access; did not feel comfortable exercising alone. One entrance, at least, in the back of the building was not secured after 6 pm when a room card should have been needed to enter was told by front desk that it needed repaired. Hot breakfast buffet was without a lot of selection as was continental breakfast. The bathroom just appeared stained with dirt. Nice update on the rounded shower curtain rod and shower head, though.” Mar 17, 2007 by
Dave from Colchester, IL
“Nice older hotel. Staff was excellent. The room was very nice and it was quiet. Dinner menu was very limited mostly sandwiches but were very good at a reasonable price.” Nov 17, 2006 by
Charlie from Lockport, IL
“The hotel was average at best. It seemed dirty. The hot tub wasn't very warm. The room was nice enough for what I was there for. It was difficult to get to the place because of all the road construction.” Nov 2, 2006 by
Mike from Springfield, IL
“Definitely should be rated economy.” Sep 11, 2004 by
Robert J. from Plainfield “Nice property. Very good value for the price.” Sep 9, 2004 by
Thomas M. from Fancy Farm “My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Peoria, IL. I was apprehensive about the room. It was great, we were on a secured floor of the hotel and got a great room for a great price.” Hotel Representatives:
