• We liked the layout of the room and it was nicely decorated.
• On both the bed comforters there were old blood stains.

• A bit difficult to find.

“This is a very nice, clean hotel with a friendly staff. The rooms have everything you need - sofa, fridge, microwave. Make your own breakfast is included, with a great selection including waffles, which smelled delicious. A very good value. I would definitely stay here again.”

• The hotel has a very good continental breakfast.
• The air conditioner was set to about 60 when we arrived, staff should have noticed.

“This is a very nice hotel for a one or two night stay. The living room, sink and refrigerator is nice to have. Would recommend this for travelers, as it is right off the I-74.”

• Clean and large rooms with luxuries some "nicer" hotels don't offer and great hot breakfast!
• A/C unit was dripping water into the breakfast dining area.

“Springhill Suites is a great place to stay for one night or several nights! The rooms are spacious and well furnished and comfortable. Everything was quite clean and the hot breakfast bar was a great time and money saver! Absolutely excellent hotel!”

• Excellent choice of breakfast items.

“I had a late arrival time and had to wait for at least 45 minutes to get into a room. The first room they tried to put me in was having trouble with the door. After several attempts at reprogramming the lock and calling the on call maintenance man, it was determined that another person was put into this room. The only room left in the whole hotel had a broken AC unit. I had to take it due to my own fatigue and the late hour, but it was very uncomfortable.”

• The staff not friend.

“In general, the hotel is clean, nice location, free parking, and good breakfast. The pool is indoor (breading ground for bacteria); the one staff/lady at the front desk I talked to was not friendly, acted like she is no position to even change my room from 2 beds to one bed.”

• Computers in the lobby, free coffee round the clock (really good!).
• Small pool, no restaurant.

“There was service from nearby restaurants, which was very timely. The lobby was very convenient with computers and coffee, but got pretty crowded. Free breakfast in the lobby helped me with costs and time. The room was pretty spacious--bathroom a little small, but for the price, I truly can't complain.”

• The hotel was not at all comparable to the Springhill suites accommodation I stayed in the prior night-same rating?

“Hotel is outdated & not well appointed. I am very surprised that the Holiday Inn is rated at 2.5 stars compared to the Marriott property (Springhill Suites) I stayed at the prior night. The manager on duty was brash in my presence towards a gentleman asking to use the house phone (not directed towards me). The other staff overall were moderately friendly at best-while the other desk staff were appropriately accommodating.”

• The location was not the most convenient to get to if you did not know the area.

“After arriving at the hotel I found it to be very clean and attractive. The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. My suite was very clean, inviting, and well equipped with phones and computer hookups for those who may have need of them. This was not my first stay here and probably will not be my last.”

• The staff is just plain excellent. They are ready to accommodate any request at any time.
• The room heater is really loud and stays on most of the time (regardless of your setting).

“This is one of many stays I've had at this hotel, and it has been excellent each time. For such a good price, the beds are comfy, the breakfast is yummy (for a free continental breakfast!).”

• Does not have a central air system and heat/ac regulated from window unit.

• For the price I paid, this was a fantastic value-great room, great breakfast.
• The location is a bit inconvenient.

“This is one of many times we have stayed in this hotel, and we love it. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy, and the staff is pleasant. The front desk girl got my son some cereal when we arrived late at night, because he was starving. Not only did she get him some cereal, she gave him two boxes, two cartons of milk, a spoon, and packed it in a little bag for him. He was delighted, and so was I.”

“Comfortable hotel in a convenient location, though a little difficult to access via the interstate. Friendly, helpful staff. Temperature was not easily controlled in the room. Window unit could not be turned off, and could not be set to maintain a specific temperature. Overall a nice hotel for a short stay in Peoria if you want to be away from Downtown.”

• Tub drain broke burned out entrance light sluggish drain sink. Not a three star.

• The breakfast bar (included) was one of the best we have had.
• Personally, I do not like the feather comforters - too warm. Also, the night light did not work when lights were off.
