• Friendly front desk staff. They felt bad for the problems I reported.
• It was smelly and it felt dirty.

“This is the first bad experience I had with a hotel. I started out with there being slime in the ice machine. I was going to put it in my drink. The bathtub looked like it needed some serious bleach. The bottom had a dirty look as well as the sides looking dirty around the ring. The door to the bathroom had to be forced shut. The hallway really smelled like a bad mix of deodorizer and dead, stale air.”

• The staff was very friendly and helpful.
• The pool could have been cleaner (looked like algae) speaking from a swim club manager.

“The room was clean and the people were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend La Quinta to other people (I have stayed at other La Quinta's and I found that the Wausau location was the friendliest by far).”

“For the price and last minute, we did not have high expectations, so we were not disappointed. For the cheap price that we paid, the room was clean and it had the History channel and Discovery, so my son and I were very happy! Enjoyed our stay for the night.”

• Friendly staff, clean, quiet, comfortable, 12 noon check-out, breakfast included, convenient location.
• The place was a fantastic for the price.

“This hotel was staffed with friendly, helpful, knowledgeable people. It was clean, comfortable, if not exceptionally spacious (I was just there to sleep, not party) but clean, and attractive. It also had great cable channels (MSNBC, CNN). The locate was fantastic as far as ease of access to major highways! I'd highly recommend anyone looking for a reasonably priced place to stay, stay here!”

• Appreciative and kind staff. Even the late night desk clerk was smiley and welcoming.
• Old bathroom with noisy fan that went on with the light.

“We stayed here 1 night en route to a family event. The rate was very fair; the location off 29 was perfect. I was really taken with how great the staff was the whole time we were there. Everyone was all smiles and seemed very earnest about helping you- it was not forced or fake. We arrived around 11pm and the desk clerk was bright eyed and nice as if we were arriving at noon. There were nice touches letting us know we were appreciated and welcome in the room (candy and a note!), at breakfast, and at the front desk. Also, I forgot my personal pillow there, and when I went to retrieve it they were very organized with their lost and found items. It was not the fanciest or newest room ever, but the pool and the lobby was fine and it was a nice place to be.”

• The hotel was in great location, easy to find and was around a lot of great restaurants. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, very relaxing.
• The only thing I can think of, would maybe the water pressure in the shower could have been better.

“This was a very nice, clean and comfortable hotel. The room met my expectations. My quest and I had a great time and it was very nice to relax in a comfortable setting. The staff was very friendly and helpful.”

• The breakfast hours on weekend too restricted and space very small.

“Nice clean hotel with excellent continental breakfast. If I were a business traveler, I may not choose this hotel, as the wait for breakfast may be too long and the area too cramped. The staff were very friendly.”

• The staff, cleanliness and quietness were fantastic.
• The only complaint we had was it was way too hot! We couldn't cool the room off and the hallways were very hot.

“If we ever need to stay in town again, we will not hesitate to stay at the La Quinta Inn. I will recommend it to our out of town family as well.”

• The shower head was great!
• Beds were not comfortable.

“This was definitely an economy motel. The beds were not the greatest, and it wasn't extremely clean. The decor seemed to be dated, and you could tell it was an older motel. However, the shower heads were wonderful they had obviously been installed in the recent past. The continental breakfast was also very nice great assortment of juice, fruit, cereal, waffles, and muffins. For the price, it was quite nice. Things could have still been a little cleaner.”

• The first floor window did not lock in my room the noise from the next room was horrible!

“The staff is great, the lobby was very clean, however, the room next to me was very loud, I could hear everything. My room was on the first floor and my window barely shut and did not lock. I was not comfortable staying at this hotel, I chose a different hotel for my next travel.”

• Evidently allot of smokers stay there because the place reeked of cigarette smoke.

“For a one star hotel, this hotel offers a lot. A nice late breakfast even on weekends. Close to restaurants and eateries. I would consider this property more comparable to a two star hotel. If you can live with a dated decor, this hotel is a value.”

• It was clean, nicely decorated, the carpets were not worn, the people very friendly and helpful.
• No dissatisfaction.

• They gave me a huge room that was warm and spacious and very comfortable.

“Excellent staff that was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and it gave a warm and comforting feeling. The location was good with a great restaurant nearby and an easy to get to location.”

• People were very friendly.
• It was a bit run down and not close to our destination.

“Breakfast was good, rooms were clean. the exterior and inside lobby was very run down. We will never use Price-line again, because our credit card # was saved and used without my husband's looking it. LaQuinta was not in the location we wanted and we were stuck.”

• Only smoking rooms were available.

“The Baymont hotel was a decent value stay. It is very convenient to Granite Peak ski area. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, but they were understaffed on a crowded night. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was 'closed for repairs' during our stay, possibly connected to the large crowd of middle-school aged children in the hotel during a basketball tournament. Continental breakfast was very good.”

• Nice pool and hot tub. Good complimentary breakfast selection. Very nice dining area.
• We liked everything about it.

• We have stayed there multiple times and each time we have had problems with the card readers on our door. Locked out this time.

• They switched rooms for us after a very dirty room.
• 2 dirty rooms.

“Overall the quality was fine. However, after recieving two rooms that were dirty, I don't think I would recommend this hotel to anyone. They however were truly sorry and will be giving us a certificate for future stays at a Baymont.”
