• The hotel staff was fantastic. They were extremely helpful and met every need willingly. They exceeded all requests.
• Although the Blue Line El-train is nearby (over half mile-under 1 mile) the hotel did not provide transportation.

“Our stay was wonderful. Although this hotel typically caters to business travelers, we had a wonderful time on our vacation. The staff was wonderful. The amenities were wonderful. The only improvement would have been transportation to the El train.”

• They do their best to honor requests and friendly about it.

“We stay in this motel twice a year and they are always friendly and considerate. Rock Falls/Sterling are small communities so the motel is convenient.”

• Easy interstate connection.
• No free continental breakfast.

“Easy access, but the directions are confusing. Certainly was a more direct and easier way to get there. Staff very nice.”

• Mold in the air conditioning unit.

“The hotel was convenient and well laid out. The room was very clean other than the mold in the air conditioning unit. The staff was very helpful and kind.”

• Full room and hotel amenities for value.
• Breakfast menu price is high, but the food portions were above average. I'd suggest going across the street to family restaurant.

• Indoor pool area with room access.
• Filthiness of pool area. Garbage left from before our arrival through our stay.

“Very dirty, tried to charge us more for our room. Clerk was unfriendly. Their was trash everywhere that never got cleaned up throughout our stay.”

“My complete experience was great. Everything was extremely clean. I ate a few meals at the restaurant and they were good. It is also easy to find, just off of the interstate. Mostly I enjoyed the friendly staff.”

• The beds were terrible. It was the worst night sleep ever.

“I registered for two adults and two children, when I was looking for a hotel at a two to three star rating. Upon checking in I was informed that the pool was out of commission. Besides that the room had a bathroom sink that leaked with a broken toilet seat lid to top it off the beds were terrible. I think the mattresses were totally shot. It was the worst night sleep I have ever had.”

• The indoor pool area was a nice plus, comfy bed.
• Did not have a fridge but as we were leaving noticed they were "installing" them.

“Enjoyed my stay. Would stay again and would recommend it to friends. No problems and/or issues. Beds were comfortable, staff friendly. However, needed a shower cap and they did not have one but luckily wal mart is two minutes away (literally). Also, the second night noticed the air conditioner was giving off a funny smell, like a burning smell but did not bother me too bad and did not notice it again after that (I think it was the air conditioner).”

• Met all my expectations.

• Handy having a Bennigans in the hotel.
• Gave us a king bed room for 3 people.

“Basic, clean Holiday Inn. Pool was nice and had very generous hours. Overall, a nice family place to stay.”

• Very clean, very friendly staff, convenient location, indoor pool, nice restaurant.
• Spa / whirlpool were chilly. No way to increase heat. Only disappointment.

“We were very happy with this hotel. The staff was very, very friendly and accommodating. Everything was clean and well - appointed. The attached restaurant was convenient and had delicious food and good service. The only disappointment was the spa/whirlpool was a bit chilly - overall, the pool was nice! Everything else was excellent! We would return.”

• Big rooms, nice bathroom fixtures, fine restaurant.
• Mattresses need upgrading.

“A very comfortable stay. Nice restaurant and good, big rooms. Mattress was a little hard, but other than that I very much enjoyed this hotel. Rooms have on demand, which is a nice feature.”

• Rooms had just been updated.
• Very thin walls & the use of bath mats in the bathtub.

“This was a nice choice for the price. I would not have wanted to pay anymore, however. The rooms were clean and had been recently remodeled. You could hear everything going on in the nearby rooms, however, including people snoring. I would stay at this location again if I was assured a low rate.”

• bathrm dirty, only could have 1extra pillow, pool was cold, sm refrigerator falling apart 5 extra dollars for it

“It was not very good staff was not helpful. Called desk about dirty toilet and they did nothing about it we cleaned ourselves not fun told us they only had 1 extra pillow in the whole place. the sm extra refrigerator was broken inside. the pool room and pool was cold had to ask for towels and that was a big deal made you feel like I was asking for a lot We were happy to leave.”
