“Hotel was clean and that is my main requirement for a hotel stay. The bed was comfortable and their were no bugs.” Aug 30, 2008 by
Kim H. from Muskego, WI
“NA.” Aug 16, 2008 by
Ed from Chicago, IL
“Convenient and close to all attractions and friendly staff.” Aug 13, 2008 by
Patti from Cary, IL
“The staff was very helpful and friendly. They offered us extra blankets and towels for the room which we accepted and appreciated. They even gave us free tickets to a nearby waterpark for our entire group for each day we stayed. That saved us a lot of money with the children. The continental breakfast was very good and appreciated. It was nice to feed everyone right at the hotel for free before we headed out to start the day. The homemade waffles were especially liked by the kids. The indoor and outdoor pools and hot tub were kept up nicely and clean and had long extended hours for use. Overall, we liked our stay very much and would return.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Jo from Tigerton, WY
“Accommodations were ok. Staff was very friendly & accommodating. I should have asked for a room on 2nd floor. Maybe it could not have had the musty mold smell in it.” Aug 4, 2008 by
Paul from St. Paul, Minnesota
“Heed this warning. This place is a joke. The rooms are nasty and the front desk help could care less. This place is truly the 'Sanford and Son Inn' of Wisconsin Dells. I had never been to the Dells before, but now that I have I learned a lot about what not to do. We went as a basketball group for a tournament. 1/2 of our group stayed at the Days Inn and half at the Raintree. Now I don't know a lot, but I can promise you that the Rain Tree is superior to this place. I wouldn't let my mother in law sleep in this dump. Moldy nasty smell, unclean, no microwave in my single room. The Sundeck paint is peeled and the carpet is pulled up and nasty. There were 7 broken TV's laying outside this place by a back garage looking structure; two broken computer monitors and 3 used, discarded tires. The continental breakfast was horrible and my son, who will eat anything, wouldn't take bite #2 of his waffles. I can not say enough things about this place to warn off the blue-collar worker. I can assure you that I thought long and hard about posting this. But after further thought I say this: On a stack of bibles, this information is true and correct to the best of my ability.” Jul 30, 2008 by
William from Pittsburg, KS
“Not satisfied with room size and smell. The staff was very good.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Paul from Muskego, WI
“Not a very nice hotel, but a nice location.” Jul 22, 2008 by
Bob from Detroit Lakes, MN
“Old facility, not enough non smoking rooms, not much of a breakfast.” Jun 28, 2008 by
Ashli from Toronto
“I have rarely had any issues with Days Inn establishments. This should, after all, be covered by their insurance. I realize that this region was hit hard recently and I am sorry for their losses. However, the room that I was originally checked into was not fit for man or beast. The furniture was severely water marked and the room smelled strongly of mold, which as you know is TOXIC. The only improvement that had been made so far was the addition of a dehumidifier inside the room, which was not even running when I arrived.” Jun 9, 2008 by
Brian from Schaumburg, IL
“This hotel had probably the best pool and hot yub and a fantastic feature with the tanning beds. However, this had to have been the worst room I have ever stayed in. The bed was in extremely poor condition and way out of date. The bathroom was far from clean and the carpet was well beyond its life span. The continental breakfast was far from a true continental breakfast. There were waffles, toast (no butter), coffee, and juice ' no hot or cold cereal, no fruit, no pastries. Overall I was very disappointed with this location compared of other Days Inn locations I have stayed in. This trip was for pleasure as it was the first time I have visited the Wisconsin Dells and will certainly be returning for all the things to do in the area but the odds of me staying at the Days Inn are extremely low. I travel on business at least 4 times a month for 2-4 nights at a time and will be reconsidering my accommodations when planning those trips based on this visit.” Jun 1, 2008 by
Honey from Montello, WI
“Overall a great experience and would stay again.” Apr 17, 2008 by
Deb from Waukesha, WI
“We really liked it and plan on going back soon!” Apr 13, 2008 by
Barb from Eagle, WI
“This motel used to be a very nice place to visit. We were not impressed with it at all. It has gone down a lot.” Mar 15, 2008 by
Debbie from Bellingham, WA
“Indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi clean & inviting. Nice layout of lobby and guest access to rooms. Free sauna, tanning, lots of perks, great location.” Mar 13, 2008 by
Stacey from La Crosse, WY
“When we first went into our hotel room it was freezing colder in the room than it was outside. We notified the front desk twice before they reluctantly changed our room, asking US if we turned on the heat. (Isn't that their job?) The man at the front desk told me he was too busy to see if our new room had the heat turned on. The rooms at this hotel had a funny smell and the floors were not cleaned (in both rooms). There was trash under the beds and on the floor. The beds were stained and saggy. The hot tub was too hot. Very uncomfortable. There was no change machine for the vending machine. The soda machines were located outside. You had to straddle the toilet to close the bathroom door. The kicker when I notified the owner of the service we had received, he was only worried that our first room was very warm. 12 hours after we had left it. I would have thought one of the employees would have checked to see if everything was working properly when we left it. He never apologized. He showed no regard for the poor service. I will never stay there again and will warn anyone going to the Dells, not to stay at the Day's Inn. Not worth the money at all.” Feb 28, 2008 by
Kurt from Pontiac, IL
“Unorganized. Trailer Park, dirty, run-down.” Feb 5, 2008 by
Cherrie from Monroe, WI
“This hotel is very old and the rooms were small cramped and the bed had no support. The room had no fridge or microwave. It would be ok if you were by yourself and could sleep in the middle of the bed so you would not fall out. But I would not recommend this hotel for anyone.” Dec 19, 2007 by
Jessy from Dodgeville, WI
“There was paint peeling off the walls behind the front desk. The room had a funny odor to it, and it was really hard to control the temperature. There were only about 10 channels to choose from for the cable, and the room was very small. Needless to say I was very disappointed.” Nov 6, 2007 by
Gretchen from Janesville, WI
“Good spot to stay for a weekend of fun in the Wisconsin dells. Not a place you would spend a lot of time at the hotel but an okay place to rest your head.” Oct 23, 2007 by
Heather from Saint Charles, MO
“Good hotel but question the location for leisure travel.” Sep 26, 2007 by
Jackie from Gleason, WI
“The room was very small but I was just staying one night so I didn't matter much. What disappointed me was a dehumidifier running in the room and the heater/air unit had to be shut off or it would stink you out of the room. I would have just opened the window but I was at ground level and didn't feel safe to do that. The bed looked good and comfortable but when I pulled back the covers there were large s on the sheet! I couldn't believe they would put sheets like that on a bed. I told the clerk about my disappointment and she just made a note and that was it. Where is the customer service? I thought she should have offered some kind of apology or discount. I'm not the type to ask for money back but I thought it should be offered.” Sep 26, 2007 by
Ted from Burlington, WI
“I would never recommend it to any one.” Sep 24, 2007 by
Greta from Milwaukee, WI
“Good for business travelers; Internet connection was available if necessary. Just a good basic room to sleep in when that's all you need. Relatively quiet.” Sep 11, 2007 by
Sonja from Milwaukee, WI
“Beds were fairly comfortable, lots of pillows (4 for each bed) and they were fluffy and substantial. Room was quiet, late check in was great, they said anytime I got there my room was guaranteed. The location was awesome, didn't really have to drive if didn't want to, attractions and dining pretty much next door.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Judi from Lisbon, WI
“I found this hotel to be more of a motel. The rooms were small. The bed itself sagged in the middle. The lighting in the bathroom was poor. The staff needs to learn some customer service skills and the continental breakfast was more of waffles.” Jul 18, 2007 by
Jaina from Bridgeport, CT
“This hotel exceeded my expectations for the price and location. My friend and I had the pool to ourselves most of the time and the place was very quiet. I would definitely stay there again!” Jul 16, 2007 by
Corey from Ankeny, IA
“This was a terrible experience for our family on vacation. The internet pictures did not match the hotel real look and was misleading. There were the smallest rooms we have ever stayed in and very dirty. The TV and lights did not work and the AC smelled awful. We will never stay at a Days Inn again. The star rating should of been a 1 star and it rate should of be 39.99. We are very disappointed to start our vacation off that way.” Jun 21, 2007 by
Kesha M. from Chicago, IL
“I feel this is a good hotel when you have a lot of people traveling with you and you can't afford to pay a whole lot of money.” Jun 18, 2007 by
Karen from Northfield, MN
“I wouldn't stay there again, nor would tell any one else to stay there.” Jun 5, 2007 by
Brian from Iowa City, IA
“Pretty good continental breakfast. The motel is showing its age and is well worn. Rooms could be bit cleaner. Decent motel for the price.” May 31, 2007 by
Kurt from Mankato, MN
“Great location but only semi wheelchair accessible.” May 4, 2007 by
Richard from Kenosha, WI
“The helpers were very cordial. Just disappointed not to be able to use the pool.” Feb 14, 2007 by
William from Berlin, WI
“When we arrived the lady was on the phone, she was very polite and apologized for taking so long on the phone. Staff was very friendly; the rooms were nice, clean and cozy. It had all the amenities for a very good price!” Jan 4, 2007 by
Susan from Sterling, IL
“Didn't care for this hotel at all. Room needed vacuumed, tub drain didn't work well and when I went to check out, had to use phone to call attendant to check me out and she didn't seem too happy to be interrupted doing whatever it was she was doing (bet it wasn't housekeeping. I think it should only be a one star hotel.” Oct 20, 2006 by
Luann from Green Bay, WI
“Overall, nice place.” Aug 15, 2006 by
Rex W. from Greenville, SC
“Reasonably priced motel near major Dells attractions. Overall, our stay was satisfactory. Excellent service and attitude demonstrated by staff.” Aug 7, 2006 by
Bill from Marion, IA
“We chose this hotel because of location and the name. It was not the cheapest choice that we could have made, giving us even more confidence in this hotel. The bathrooms were filthy, with mildew in the grout and very dirty fan vents. The pools were nice.” Aug 6, 2006 by
Brock from Hatton, ND
“Not the nicest place to stay for the money.” Jun 30, 2006 by
Nick from Oshkosh, WI
“Besides this hotels price, and location, it is in need of major remolding. The lobby, halls, and rooms all smelled like mold and smoke. The rooms are very small, and don't have closets. Business only, this is not a vacation, or family hotel.” Apr 13, 2006 by
Daniel from Waukesha, WI
“It was an O.K. Hotel. We did understand that they were probably short staffed because it was prior to the tourist season, therefore the cleanliness suffered. I hope.” Feb 26, 2006 by
Brian from Milwaukee, WI
