• The bed was comfortable.
• Style of room needs to be updated.

• Incredibly comfortable bed.
• Poor location.

“My wife and I booked this hotel, on short notice because for a family funeral, we were hoping to find a quite place to retreat to during all of the chaos, instead this hotel only added to our stress. The courtyard was the least impressive three star hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was nice and very simple, however the location was its primary drawback. Directly in front of our room was a railroad which had several trains passing by between the hours of 10-12 at night. At one point a single train stopped outside for over 20 minutes, for what appeared to be regular maintenance. Our entire room vibrated while the train was outside. Instead of resting after a difficult day, we tossed and turned until we finally fell asleep. I believe the housekeeping service had just returned from a smoke break when he decided to clean our hallways, which lead to the entire upstairs smelling like cigarettes.”

• The staff was very friendly and the property was well kept.
• The breakfast buffet started at 6:30 am which did not meet my needs.

• 1st front desk check-in person was very helpful with giving city directions.
• Reported balcony door would not close, front desk did not have it fixed during our stay.

“Nice hotel, and bathroom was not cleaned very good each day. Hotel technician not very friendly, came too early to clean rooms at 9:30 each day. We were just getting up at that time. Reported to the front desk that the balcony door would not close. They sent someone to check it, but he could not fix it and said maintenance department would have to come and repair it. Called the front desk and told her what he said, but the door was never fixed while we were there. We stayed 3 days.”

“You could see where the balcony door had been repaired after someone broke in. Sleep was interrupted by passing freight trains. Parking was inadequate. And they wanted $1.50 for a regular size snickers. I would not stay at this motel again on a bet!”

• It was in a good area to where we were visiting.
• Room did not come with fridge as aspected.

“This was a good hotel. Employees were friendly and everything was clean. I would reccommend this hotel even at higher price. Would have stayed an extra night at regular cost however front desk person was hesitant about the price we would be paying so we opted to stay somewhere else.”

• The room was decorated nicely and had a nice layout.
• The hotel was located near a train track and therefore noisy. It was also very far from downtown which is where I spent most of my time.

“The hotel is located in a suburb of Memphis. If you plan to spend time downtown, you may want to look for a better location. It was about a 25 minutes drive to downtown Memphis. The hotel is located near a train track. It gets noisy so see if you can get a room on the side opposite the track. The rooms were well decorated, clean, and comfortable.”

• Refurbished in last three years-looked new.
• No problems.

“Excellent location. Although 20 years old, the handicap room I had looked like quality new build. The tub/shower were better equipped than any I have used in Bronson or Tunica.”

• I like the fact that my trip ended so I could leave!

“We had to wait on tissue and towels. The rooms were damp and humid ( which causes mold ). We were rudely turned away from breakfast because it was included as free.”

• The balcony/patios. Very nice touch. Excellent housekeeping staff.
• The pool was too cold to use - but it was mid April - would have been nice if it was heated.

• The bathroom counter.
• Staff.

“I stay in hotels over 50% of the time I'm working. I have met a lot of hotel staff. The staff at this hotel seemed borderline sloppy, and generally unhappy to assist me. Having to pay for breakfast was okay but, when I sat down after I fixed my plate and was immediately brought a bill for $10 (which is ridiculously high in my opinion).”

• May be security, a car was broken into while we were there.

• My room was kept clean and the staff was nice and helpful.
• It did not have a microwave. I did not like having to pay for breakfast. My room got a little noisy at night because it was right by the outdoor pool.

“I enjoyed my stay, it was a very nice hotel for the money. I really liked the fact that a tour bus came everyday to the hotel to take me on tours.”

• The pool area was very nice.
• The bed hurt my back terribly.

“I thought the hotel was very attractive. The pool and courtyard area were very nice. The room was nicely appointed, but the bed didn't treat my back very well. Thought there should be flat screen TVs in the rooms.”

• Rooms were not cleaned, only bed was made, hair in bath tub for two days, re-usable cups were not replaced, carpet not vacuumed.

“The locations and price was great. The housekeeping was terrible, bathroom floors were not swept or mopped, a hair was left on the bath tub at the same place for three days, the carpet was not vacuumed, re-usable cups were not cleaned or replaced. It was the worse stay at a Marriott property I have ever had.”

• I loved the balcony and price for the room!
• I did not like the toilet in my room and the close train.

“The hotel was a great late-night stay! The beds are amazingly comfortable and I love the walk out balcony! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great night's rest! The only downfall is the close train nearby. A++++ overall!”

• The color scheme and the cleanness of the hotel was excellent.
• I didn't like the fact that the maid knocked on our door and we still had more than an hour for checkout.

• Great bedding in Marriot motels/hotels.
• Too close to railroad tracks.

“Relatively easy to find. Downside is that half of rooms are close to railroad tracks that can make for a noisy stay. Otherwise, lactation is great, near bypass, restaurants and a Schnucks grocery.”

• The hotel's bed was very comfortable. Both the room and bathroom were very clean.
• Our room was only about a hundred feet from a very busy railroad track. Trains went through very often.

“The hotel room and bathroom were both very clean. We are very likely to stay at this hotel again if we can get a room on the opposite side of the hotel so we can be further away from the busy train tracks that are about 100 feet away from the hotel.”

• Convenient, rooms were comfortable and very clean! Free internet access in lobby - Nice!
• Put us in a room next to a rail road track - trains came through all night - awful experience!

“Centrally located in upscale neighborhood. Rooms are comfortable with laptop hook-ups in room. Mostly quiet, however, one side of the hotel is parallel with a busy train track. Probably fine if you have ear plugs, which we unfortunately didn't have. Hotel employees very polite and moved us next night.”
