• Large room size, flat screens, location.
• Some issues with cleanliness of glassware, toilets.

“This hotel is almost what I expected - about a studio apartment in New York. Overall cleanliness was good, with an exception - the glassware in two rooms we had was dirty. Our first room had a broken toilet, and we were promptly moved to a different room. Staff is very friendly, and overall accommodations were nice.”

• Room upgrades. Flat screen TV, comfortable bedding.
• Bathroom is super tiny.

“Friendly staff and inviting rooms. The bed sleep exceptionally well and great room spacing. Hyatt Place has done great with the upgrades. I have now switched my preference from Hilton to Hyatt.”

• Hyatt Place has consistently exceeded expectations in accommodations & food.
• Toilet was leaky and house keeping staff carts made passing in halls difficult.

“Hyatt Place is the best for money. Complimentary breakfast, high speed internet, and very nice rooms make it tops on my list. The hotels are never too large nor too small, and screaming kids are at a minimum. If I get chance, I'd stay at Hyatt Place all the time.”

• The room was spacious and clean. My son loved the 42-inch flat panel TV in our room. Very comfortable.
• There were no vending machines on the floors. I had to go to the hotel lobby to get a soda from the deli and it was quite pricey.

“Clean, above standard and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure was fabulous. I would definitely stay here again.”

• The noise.

“I enjoyed my stay and it was a lovely place. The staff was friendly and attentive to my needs. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the noise levels. I could hear people showering and the water lines when people flushed their toilets. Unfortunately, the people next to me kept me up the 2nd evening until well in the a.m. with their laughing and carrying on. I alerted the front desk when one tried to get into my room by mistake. They didn't listen to the staff when told about their noisy actions.”

• All staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and very comfortable. I will recommend this hotel to other traveling in the Memphis area!
• Cannot think of anything right now.

“Clean and comfortable room, roomy with a 42 inch big screen TV to watch (nice addition). Bathroom tub drained very well with an adequate shower head. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with an assortment of fresh fruit and hot coffee. We will definitely stay at this hotel again in our numerous travel to Memphis.”

• Staff not sufficiently knowledgeable of hotel area.

“The hotel was clean, comfortable, and atmosphere was nice. However, the staff at the desk is not very knowledgeable of the surrounding area, i.e., location of hotel in reference to major highways and surrounding streets. I spent 2 hours trying to find the hotel with the help of hotel staff. Each time I called them from the general Memphis area to locate them, I was met with confusing instructions and communication was poor in trying to assist me with directions to the hotel. I did not arrive until almost midnight; therefore, it hardly seemed worth it to go to a hotel on the east side of Memphis.”

• It was in a good location in Memphis, they had a continental breakfast.
• They put me in a handicap room where most things were shorter and there was no tub in the bathroom.

• Very comfortable room, cool design, wonderful breakfast.
• Not much.

“This is my favorite place to stay on business - I am in hotels a minimum of 150 nights/year. The room design is very unique and relaxing. Love the 42" TV and the sitting area. And, unlike many hotels at this level, they provide a terrific breakfast - for some reason, they feel they need to charge $10 - $15 for breakfast.”

• If you want break food such as eggs or bacon you pay for it.

“I really liked this hotel. The pictures were really on point. I loved the 42 inch flat panel television. The staff were really nice. The hotel uses efficiency bulb lights. They offer participation in changing towels every couple of days to save water usage. If you don't want to participate you don't have to. They freshen your rooms every day regardless.”

• Newly and tastefully remodeled.
• Only two slow elevators so wait can be long at peak periods.

“Hyatt place is an updated, remodeled and reacquired Amerisuites hotel. It is rather more like a small European hotel the way it is decorated. We like it a lot and it gives excellent value for the money. You will appreciate the large flat screen LCD monitors in every room along with free HBO. The bedding is excellent and the hotel is quiet. My only area of concern is the elevators. There are only two and they are pretty slow. There have also been reliability issues with them so you might consider a lower floor just in case you want to use the stairs.”

• Great business hotel with several convenient amenities.
• A/c unit leaked dampening the carpet at the foot of the bed.

“A great business or family hotel with several convenient amenities including a 24 hour express beverage and snack service, lobby computers with printers for boarding passes etc., exercise room and pool. The rooms are spacious mini suites with 42" plasma TVs, nice desks with comfortable office chairs and all the connections for you computer and peripherals.”

• These are excellent hotels for the money. They remind me of a classy small European hotel.
• The elevators can be unreliable at times.

“I highly recommend this hotel. I am using it exclusively for all my Memphis business trips. The location is excellent and the hotel is comfortable and quiet. The only problem I encountered was the clunky, unreliable and slow elevators. They need to operate at double their current speed or they could install a couple more. Otherwise good value with a better breakfast options than what you would expect at a 2 star hotel.”

• We loved the set up of the room. The sofa sleeper was the most comfortable one we ever slept on.
• The breakfast.

“Our stay was a good one. Check-in was easy. Our room was very clean and we liked the set up - the bedroom was separated in a way that allowed us to feel some privacy when sitting or sleeping on the sofa sleeper. The sleeper was very comfortable and the bed was wonderful! The bathroom is small for this size of room. Breakfast is offered but is just cereals, bagels, bread, milk, juice and fruit. More is offered for a fee. If you are staying more than a day or two you should allow for this expense, because the freebies are boring. Overall, we had a great experience and would stay here again when in Memphis.”

“The Hyatt at primacy parkway looks like a cozy little hotel from the outside, but the exterior is deceiving. The rooms are spacious and well-laid out, and the decor is attractive and modern without being over the top. The staff was wonderful. Very friendly and very helpful. The whole experience was wonderful. I will recommend this facility to my friends.”

• Great decor, healthy breakfast, great flat screen TV, luxury look.
• It was hard to find; telephone directions were automated.

“This place was beautiful, very elegant, lovely decor, but hard to find, especially with the directions on map quest and the automated telephone directions. My husband wanted some hot breakfast, but you had to pay extra for anything hot. That was ok with me, because the choices were all very healthy and it was all on real plates (elegant square ones) and real silverware. Anyone who appreciates style should stay there. Great value!”

• The renovations made to this hotel are great, and the rooms are great.
• Check-in through the self service.

“The hotel is well situated for East Memphis / Germantown and St. Frances Hospital. The renovations to the hotel are wonderful. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, and the flat screen television is incredible for a hotel. Highly recommended for the money.”

“The hotel room was very nice and spacious; the HD TV was a bonus. The hotel was in the transition to become "Hyatt Place", so there were some construction activities going on, and one of the elevator was broken.”

• Nice bed and awesome large flat screen TV.
• Very, very noisy throughout the night from other guests entering and outside noise.

“The only negative item about this hotel was the loud noise that kept us waking up through the night. Maybe we were on an unlucky floor but, we could hear guests loudly entering our floor throughout the night (we were next to the elevator!). ”
