“The hotel itself was nice but the parking was extremely expensive and not very nice. I can understand charging people who are not guests for parking. I have never been to a nice hotel that charged for parking and I have traveled the world.”

• Staff was very friendly. Location was awesome. Hotel had everything you can think of.

“Staff member gave us comps for breakfast ($39.98) value. The hotel was very clean and had all the amenities I could think of plus more. There were several restaurants and bars that had people from everywhere coming there even if they weren't staying in the hotel.”

• Clean and friendly, excellent location. Rooms were fresh and smelled clean not deodorized.
• Parking is at a premium price like all big cities around there Central business/tourist district.

• This was a lovely hotel with very clean, comfortable rooms.
• This hotel was a little large and had many conventions going on.

  $30/day and the pool was pretty cloudy and not well maintained.

“The hotel was pretty nice but crowded for a weekend festival. The pool was a bit below expectations but had a nice view of the river. Didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, but it looked nice.”

• Hotel restaurant excellent. Free internet. Great coffee shop.
• Jacuzzi in pool area jets were not working.

• Great towels.
• Not happy about the location of the gym or the fees.

“Hotel is in a great location and it's quite surprisingly nice considering it's a Hilton. Great charbroiled oysters at the bar downstairs. Room was nicely and simply decorated and the beds were comfortable. Need better do not disturb signs to hang on the door.”

• Location, cleanliness of hotel and room, and staff.
• The bathroom was tiny and at times there was no hot water.

“Large chain hotel with many amenities (no spa services). The staff is very friendly and consistently exhibited great southern hospitality. The hotel, including public areas, was very clean. We ate in the restaurant and ordered room service, and both were good (good food and service). We experienced some quick things including no hot water at times, problems with a FedEx delivery, and a sometimes very attentive housekeeping staff.”

• Great location for convention center, casino and the Mississippi river.
• Internet service is $15 per day -- way too much for this day and age.

“Good hotel for the price. I really enjoyed the re-done room that I stayed in however I am amazed that they still charge for internet service ($15 per day --- too much). Also the hotel did not have a great range of cable channels. It was a good hotel for the business traveler and anyone having business at the convention center.”

• Valet parking was backed up and slow the day we were leaving.

• Front desk staff was AWESOME!
• Construction.

“It was our thirty third wedding anniversary and the hotel front desk staff made us feel very special. We were greeted as family and when we asked for a room with a river view we were graciously accomodated. Even though there was construction going on inside of the hotel, the hotel exceeded our expectations. Thank you Hilton Riverwalk for helping us to create an anniversary we will never forget!”

• The view of the river.
• The room we had although nice was a litte small.

“I love the hotel that it was close to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. The hotel was also right across from Harrah's which offered gambling. The bed (King) was also supper comfortable. I was completly relaxed. Thank you Hilton Riverside for a great stay!”

• Trolley stops just outside; cleanliness and upscale furnishings.
• Parking garage is more than a little creepy, too far from room, & too expensive.

“I would love to stay at this hotel again. Amenities were top notch, room and public areas very clean and elegant. Trolley stop is right in front of hotel. Only negative part was the parking garage - kind of creepy, too far from room, and very expensive at $30/day.”

• Excellant location, onsite parking, onsite dining, hot tub to entertain child. Beautiful, clean room.
• $3.00 soda vending machines, paper thin walls with World Series watching lesbians in the middle of the night next door.

“Spacious and clean with extremely nice room. Parking convenient. Hotel location was the biggest plus. My 7 year old was as impressed as I. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I could only hope to be this lucky with Priceline the next time around.”

• Elevator access on different levels of parking lot - had to use steps to pull luggage down.

• It's the Hilton Downtown New Orleans, need I say more? View was excellent!
• Housekeeping knocked at 8:30am! Not good after a weekend night in the French Quarter.

• It was within walking distance of everything we were interested in seeing.
• The cost of parking was too high.

“I did not like the second floor check in. The sign noted that the escalator was the way to check in and with luggage it was not easy. After check in we were told where the elevator was located.”

“Loved the big window view of the Mississippi, fairly short walk to the Quarter, street car at door, all the staff from the front desk to the restaurant and bars, bellboys and maids were very friendly and attentive. Made such a big property seem far more personal.”
