“The Omni Royal Orleans is a really nice hotel. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are very small (queen, no balcony) and the elevators are kind of old and scary. The roof-top, heated pool is really nice, as is the view.”

• Rooms were very small.

“I was suppose to have 2 full beds (enough room to sleep 4 people) in both of 2 rooms. When
I checked in the staff put me in 2 extremely small rooms that had only one bed in each and once we put a roll out bed in each room, there was
no walking space. The room was horribly cramped.”

• Staff was friendly & attentive. Hotel was clean & great location.
• Bathrooms were small. They charge for internet access.

“The hotel entrance and lobby are beautiful. All the staff was courteous and accommodating. The rooms are quiet, clean & comfortable. We had a non-smoking room with queen bed. The room was a tad small which we didn't mind. We would have liked the bathroom to be larger. 2 people in the bathroom is crowded. We did not eat at the restaurant or use any of its amenities. I tried to check email from their business center, but there was a charge to do so. We were allowed to print our boarding passes for free though. Overall, we had a very nice experience and would not hesitate to stay there again.”

• The bed was hard and linens/comforter needed updating.

“This hotel is beautiful and in a great location. The staff was fantastic. The rooms and bathroom were too small but okay for the French Quarter. However, the bed needs updating. The mattress was so hard that we couldn't even sleep! Also, they need to update their comforters to duvets to keep up with the standards.”

• It is a lovely old hotel, loved the foyer and chandeliers, restaurants, fantastic location!
• Dated dirty carpet in halls, same for room spread, bathroom looks dated and was not cleaned up when we checked in.

“For the French Quarters you can not beat this location! Close to everything, but far enough from all the noise. Lovely & foyer, fabulous rooftop pool and viewing area. The only down part was the dated dirty carpet and dated bedspread and bathroom. A plus for our small room was it opened onto a courtyard which made it more pleasant.”

• I like the location and the pool/roof top area.
• The staff was ok. Not great and not bad. Just ok.

“This was a nice hotel, but the rooms were definitely the lesser quality rooms. We stayed for two nights, and for the second night had to request a room change since there was a big party going on in the banquet room, which was directly under our room. The front desk arranged for a new room right away, but it was a smaller room than the first. Overall it was a nice hotel in a great location, and I would stay there again for the location, but not for the service level.”

• I mostly liked the location of the hotel as well as the luxury appearance of the hotel.
• I didn't like the hotel room size, it was really small, but I didn't spend much time in hotel so it was ok for sleeping purposes.

“The staff at the Omni hotel in New Orleans was very nice. The hotel staff made sure the customers were well taken care of. I will stay at the Omni in New Orleans again, because I know that I will be well taken care of.”

• My favorite thing about this hotel was its location.
• I did not like having to pay so much for parking.

“The Omni Hotel in New Orleans offers a great location for people visiting New Orleans. It is located in the French Quarter between bourbon Street and Jackson Square. The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were clean and presentable. If you are visiting New Orleans and will be out on the town, this is a great place to stay because of its location.”

“The Omni Royal Orleans is perfectly located just off Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. It is a short walk to everything. The hotel is very nice with a great pool and observation deck on the roof. The cleaning staff was very pleasant. Our room was very quiet. The hotel offered complimentary coffee from the restaurant in the morning which was a nice bonus. Very professional and helpful staff.”

• I was extorted for almost 70.00$ for parking.

“Our room was on the small side. The size of the bathroom, in particular, was a bit of a challenge. However, the room was well appointed, very clean & well kept. Plenty of towels & toiletries. • Superb location on quiet street, very close to Bourbon St and other attractions.
• Rooms are a little small, but good otherwise.

• Convenient location. Within easy walking distance to everything worth seeing.
• Locked us out of our room once b/c incidental card didn't authorize.

“The room was small but comfortable. The location is perfect for wandering the French Quarter and was only a brisk 30 minute walk to the convention center. A taxi was always available but with the food close by, you need to walk to avoid excess weight gain.”

“The Omni Royal Orleans is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathrooms are very clean. The staff is very friendly and willing to help with your every need. The location is perfect if you like the French Quarter. The Rib Room has a really good breakfast buffet. If you ask for a window seat, you will be able to view the pedestrians on Royal Street. Be prepared to pay for your parking. This is common in the French Quarter. Parking runs $28 a day. However, you can retrieve your car quicker here than any other hotel garage in the area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Nice place to stay. I'll definitely be back!”

“The omni is located in the French quarter within minutes from many sights, yet, it is not in the middle of the noise. This makes it a great get away for a romantic weekend. It is just two blocks from the St. Charles trolley which brings you all the way to Carrolton avenue. It passes through the garden district, by City Park and the new Orleans zoo.”

• It was in an amazing location for a tourist exploring the French quarter.
• The room was small and the bathroom was teeny and the front desk staff was not incredibly welcoming.

“It is in an amazing location for a tourist or a business professional to explore the French quarter by simply setting foot outside the hotel. Bourbon street is just two blocks away but St. Louis street is quaint and peaceful so there is enough distance for a serene sleep.”

• Front desk staff was surly and rude.

“The location was the only part about this hotel I would recommend. The front desk staff was unbelievably rude. If I had had the time to book and go elsewhere I would have done so. I would not recommend staying anywhere beneath the 4th floor, as there are function rooms on the lower floors and the noise permeates every room. Also, be aware that there are many loud, drunken people about who have no consideration for people who do not spend their entire stay in the Bourbon Street bars. I can't blame the hotel for guests who bounce down the hallways between 3-5am yelling and trying every door.”

• I loved the historical architect of the omni; high ceilings, wrought iron work, balcony, but mainly the location.
• Not being able to cool the room down to a comfortable temp. The humidity in New Orleans is too oppressive for a setting that does not go below 67 degrees.

“I was truly very pleased with the hotel. It had everything I love in a hotel in an historic city; high ceilings, wrought iron work, balconies. The location could not have been any better! Right in the French quarter, but off to the side enough where you would not be woken from the street noise. The only negative was not being able to cool the room down below 67 degrees, and in a city where the humidity is so oppressive, the rooms should be able to be cooled more if need be.”

“Loved the hotel. You can walk right outside and be in the heart of the French quarter. Great pool with a view on the rooftop. Nice gym. Room was a little small, and had a full/or queen? Which I shared with my 10 yr old. There were French doors that opened to the outside with a small table, which was a nice surprise. Very classic lobby. Room was clean, service good.”

• Rooms are very small and congested.

“The best feature of this property is its location. The front desk staff is not personable/friendly, just check in/check out. Support staff served much more friendly (valet and bell staff). If I had a choice, I would not choose this hotel again due to the rooms being a little larger than the average size of most 4 star bathrooms. Perhaps if the staff were friendlier it would be easier to overlook the small room issue, but if I have a choice I would not choose this property.”
