“Not a 4 star. Not even close. Feel very bad.” Dec 2, 2009 by
Roderick from Baton Rouge,LA
“Very clean and neat. Excellent room accomodations and friendly staff. Hotel parking is $33/day, which I feel was a little steep.” Nov 17, 2009 by
Dottie from Santa Barbara,CA
“Excellent location when visiting New Orleans. Walking distance to French Quarter, Casino and restaurants.” Oct 27, 2009 by
rebecca from Benton,IL “Staff at the hotel know the area very well and gave great suggestions for what to see, where to eat. My son got sick during our stay and staff told me about a capable, fast and convenient urgent care facility. Thanks!” Oct 23, 2009 by
Dale from Hazlehurst,MS
“Not impressed, room looked like Budget Motel room & size of Motel 6, Don't plan a return, Had much better rooms Oct 19, 2009 by
Jennifer from Collierville,TN
“There are only a few positive things to say about this hotel. The three best things about the hotel are that the valet attendants are very nice and friendly, the location and the room was clean. The size of the room was extremely disappointing for the price. It was quite small. The surcharges are ridiculous! Parking for one night was $33.00 not counting tip. The surcharge for the privilege to use their internet service is nearly $15.00. Check out at the hotel is not until noon. However, housekeeping starting cleaning rooms at 9 am and seemed quite agitated that I had not left yet. After the third time they knocked on my door, even with the do not disturb sign outside, I decided to leave. I have stayed at other Marriott hotels, however, even as pretty and clean as it is, it was still a terrible overall experience, especially for the price!” Oct 9, 2009 by
Judy from Boca Raton,FL
“This hotel was great and I would stay there again.” Oct 4, 2009 by

“This hotel is in one of the most convenient locations if you're interested in walking on foot through the French Quarter. Ask for a room with a view of the river! Beautifully appointed lobby and rooms, but if good water pressure is a requirement for you, then this hotel is not.” Sep 17, 2009 by
David from Birmingham,AL
“This was a beautiful hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. It also has a great restaurant and bar. This hotel is perfect for couples looking for a get away. It was an amazing price for such a great hotel.” Sep 16, 2009 by
Alex from Dallas,TX
“The lobby was great and the location is so convenient.” Sep 14, 2009 by
Chantal from Reno,NV
“A typical four star hotel with great beds and a New Orleans theme. It also had a very beautiful bar and lounge area.” Sep 13, 2009 by
Ed from Odessa,FL
“This was a great location, staff was wonderful, service impeccable. Would go there again any day. Just great hotel.” Sep 11, 2009 by
Karen from Gold River,CA
“Overall the hotel was fine. They do not offer free internet to hotel guests. That is a major negative. The restaurant staff was not very responsive, and the food was not necessarily as advertised.” Sep 6, 2009 by
Cathy from Houston,TX
“Not a bad choice given its great location to everything you would want to see sightseeing-wise. The hotel is decent-looking, not luxurious or fancy looking (for that, the Sheraton, just across the street looks better). Staff were very friendly, except for the maid. She came by on the day of check out early in the morning to ask if were were checking out and at what time - that's unnecessary given that the front desk knows that information and check out time is officially by noon. The maid didn't care if she woke us up, she wanted to let us know she was waiting for us to get out to get in to clean. Other than that, the staff was friendly and supportive. Was traveling with a 3-month old baby and were got a baby crib and a refrigerator (for free) w/in 5 mins of arriving.” Aug 28, 2009 by
Ed from Broad Channel,NY
“Overall a good experience. Helpful staff (except for one), clean, comfortable.” Aug 24, 2009 by
Sherry from Joplin,MO
“Excellent location for experiencing the fun and action of the French Quarter. I highly recommend this location for those who want to enjoy the action, but also want to be able to enjoy their peace and quiet at the end of the evening!” Aug 19, 2009 by
Jaimie from Oklahoma City,OK
“This hotel was a great choice, family friendly and very clean. The only reservations I had for this room is that the wi-fi wasn't included in the rate, and it should have been (as we stayed at a less expensive hotel the night before in Destin that had free wi-fi, free continental breakfast and free fridge/microwave in room) and the lady at the reception did not mention anything about fees for the parking garage, but rather just told us where it was. So, expect an extra $33.00 added to your hotel room for one night of parking!” Aug 18, 2009 by
Staci from Lafayette,LA
“Hotel staff, location, decorations, etc were all very nice. I love staying at marriotts and with your price it made the trip even better.” Aug 17, 2009 by
Tabbie from Fresno,TX

“I would stay here again, I felt safe, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the location was perfect. Room was a little small, it was quiet at night, the bar area was nice but very expensive, we paid $20 for two drinks. Overall it was a very nice hotel and the staff was very friendly.” Jun 24, 2009 by
Jim from Vicksburg,MS
“The Marriott is a great hotel to stay. A few Blocks off Bourbon Street which is nice, it is noisy at the hotels near Bourbon on the weekend.” Jun 23, 2009 by
Rick from Conroe,TX

Megan from Pine Bluff,AR
“I have lived in New Orleans for 5 years. I came back for 2 days to take care of some business. My mother accompanied me. The hotel was overall nice and clean. The bedding was comfortable although it made us a little itchy at first. I am very paranoid about staying in hotels because I lived in one for a year (the Hilton) and I know that they usually just surface clean so appearances can be deceiving. However this hotel worked just fine for our short stay.” May 30, 2009 by
Henry M. McAleenan from Miami,FL
“For a 4 star Marriott this hotel fell short. Carpet in rooms was dirty and showed traffic tracks. Walk barefoot to the bathroom and the bottom of your feet were black.. The widows were filthy outside. They were streaked heavily with a white opaque coating of dirt & sediment. The worst was the fact they wanted $14.00 a day for Internet access. For crying out loud Motel 6, Ramada, holiday inn, Comfort Inns all have free in room Internet services. I can not recall the last time in years that I had to pay for Internet service at a hotel Most Hotels/Motels this day offer free high speed WiFi. Then they didn't have a business center. They had Fed Ex center but all services had to be paid for. Again most hotels this day and age have a free business center with at least two computers, faxes, laser printers and office supplies such as stapler, paper clips, hole punches etc. Many have a computer on each floor normally by the elevators or ice machines. I feel this was deplorable for a hotel such as this. They have a beautiful building but lack some of the basics or try to nickel and dime you for them. Just charge $5.00 for for each room and provide these items and please their customers. Just to check in and print airline tickets there was a line of 17 persons and all of us discussed the lack of business facilities and were irritated by the delay because of the lack of services.” May 26, 2009 by
Kimberly from Dedham,MA
“Staff wasn't the friendliest but we were accommodated with early check in. The room was very clean and in very good shape even though it was a little small. The location is great for easy access to downtown and the trolley.” May 21, 2009 by
Sandy from Lusby,MD
“Centrally located, friendly staff, clean rooms and a great price through Priceline.” May 18, 2009 by

“Very good property, great location, friendly staff.” May 18, 2009 by
Sandra from Hobart,IN
“Clean spacious rooms centrally located to entertainment and restaurants.” May 18, 2009 by
from Texarkana,AR
“The hotel was nice. Friendly personnel. The parking was outrageously priced $40.00 per day. This was valet but they were so busy they said we did not have a choice. Self parking was $34.00 anyway.” May 16, 2009 by
Melanie from Watchung,NJ
“The hotel is lovely, with large, open lobby, in the heart of the French Quarter. My only complaint is that they charge $33 a day extra for parking. Otherwise, great.” May 14, 2009 by
Ann Lundberg from Memphis,TN
“Hotel is very busy. Clean and renovated but smaller than usual room for 4* property, poor service at valet.” May 13, 2009 by
Dennis from Bellaire,TX

“Very nice. Attentive staff. Super comfortable bed. Great pool. Loved the up to date elevators.” May 3, 2009 by
Ken from Palos Park,IL
“Modern, clean, upscale hotel with a great location and access to everything New Orleans has to offer.” May 3, 2009 by
Eleanor from Jenkintown,PA
“Our room was very small, though comfortable. We were extremely disappointed that the outdoor pool was not heated, as that is very important to me. I require daily exercise/soaking in a heated pool because of arthritis.”
