“Very beautiful, unique, well run hotel.” Sep 26, 2007 by
Catherine from Pascagoula, MS
“The public spaces are beautiful! The pool and hot tub are on the roof and have a beautiful view! The service (from valet, to bellmen, to concierge & maid service) was exceptional! The rooms themselves were a little dated. It felt like a nice room from the 50's. We didn't mind it at all. It was very clean and comfortable.” Sep 10, 2007 by
Sally from Longmont, CO
“I have never had a better travel experience. This hotel would have been well worth the going *special* rate available from the hotel itself. The place is gorgeous: well appointed, clean and historic. The rooms were exceedingly comfortable, well-stocked and quiet. The staff was superb, from the front desk to valet to housekeeping, everyone was friendly and professional, a rare combo I find. The location is perfect. We were able to visit several different areas of the city by merely heading in a new direction each morning. Honestly, this stay exceeded our wildest hopes.” Sep 9, 2007 by
James from Fresno, CA
“You just cannot go wrong here. What a beautiful hotel with a great staff!” Sep 7, 2007 by
Dave from Denver, CO
“Le Pavilion is an ornate, often grand hotel with gracious staff and disappointing rooms. The lobby, restaurant, bar and hallways are among the most impressive in New Orleans, with huge crystal chandeliers, high ceilings, elaborate statuary, and quarries of marble, as well as noteworthy paintings, and rich fabrics. Employees are delightful and welcoming. While name usage wasn't great, every employee with whom I interacted was enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful. As well, it is clear that the staff takes great pride in their workplace. Hotel decor will either delight or disappoint. While the over the top decoration works in the public areas, in the guestrooms, these flourishes may be too much. Tasseled valences over the shower curtain, for example, can be off-putting. That said, the guestrooms are disappointing, in size and decor. Unlike modern guestrooms' the building is over 100 years old' there is no entry alcove once you've come into the room. So the room seems like a bit of a box, and a smallish one at that. The decor grand in large spaces seems dated and stilted in a guestroom. The armoire eats up much of the room too a flat screen TV would increase the perception of space a great deal. Bathroom, though nicely finished in marble, is small by today's standards, and looks as if decorated by a drag queen. There was some wear issues a badly maintained bathtub, for example' but overall, housekeeping and engineering staff work to the place looking good. On the rooftop, there is a small though nicely furnished fitness center, as well as a great swimming pool, whirlpool, and sundeck. Great place to spend a sunny day' but tanners note: There are only eight chaise lounges around the rather small pool. Overall, service is good, though one day, housekeeping overlooked cleaning our room, and for a luxury hotel, you might expect better name usage.” Sep 7, 2007 by
James from Tulsa, OK
“Le Pavilion is one of the most beautiful hotels. It's celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and truly unlike any other hotel I've stayed. It is very romantic and reminds and very European. The rooftop pool was great as well.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Joe from Laguna Beach, CA
“The imported French chandeliers, art and marble are exquisite. This hotel is pure Versailles! The rooms are elegant. The rooftop pool is surrounded by magnificent views.” Sep 4, 2007 by
Fran from Columbia, MS
“Everyone from bellman to clerk was gracious. The room was clean, the amenities were great, and the peanut butter and jelly with hot chocolate at 10 pm was the perfect end to a day.” Sep 3, 2007 by
Juan C. from Brooklyn, NY
“I had a wonderful experience in this hotel. This was my first time in new Orleans and let me tell you it was worth it. Nice rooms, beautiful lobby, excellent service, top notch! A bit far from everything (like four or five blocks) but if you know how the local transportation works you will be fine (or take a cab). Overall thrilled.” Aug 28, 2007 by
Leana from Atlanta, GA
“Beautiful decor and history front desk was not helpful. You can't walk on the streets at night from this hotel. Must take a taxi especially for women.” Aug 23, 2007 by
Mary from Wylie, TX
“I was very impressed with everything about this hotel. Its decor was marvelous and the children loved the pool and cabana on the roof. True to its tradition, its hot chocolate and pub sandwiches were just great. Every person in their job capacity went above their means to help us out. I would defiantly recommend this hotel.” Aug 16, 2007 by
Forrest from Belle Chasse, LA
“Great hotel! Beautiful with a wonderful and pleasant staff! Just a bit further from the French Quarter than I wanted to be, however not a bad walk. Definitely would stay again!” Aug 3, 2007 by
Eric from Antioch, TN
“I am overwhelmed by the trip. This hotel was extremely exquisite and breathtaking.” Jul 31, 2007 by
Brian from Kerrville, TX
“The hotel was beautiful, the staff was attentive, and very helpful. Cool old world experience.” Jul 25, 2007 by
Amy from Baton Rouge, LA
“We could not have had a better stay in a better hotel.” Jul 18, 2007 by
Kevin from Houston, TX
“First, the hotel fixtures are old and not completely clean. Light switches, power outlets, door knobs, all very old and grimy. The shower head in my room was a deluxe model (nice) that was probably ten years old (not nice, it barely worked). You don't experience this in 4* hotels. The concierge was also not the most helpful. This hotel should be reclassified as a 3*. Nothing wrong with it, but it's not a 4* hotel.” Jul 11, 2007 by
Kay from East Orange, NJ
“Very beautiful hotel, French provincial furniture, antique reproductions. Fabulous strawberry shortcake. The waiters arrived in tuxedos. Nice touch.” Jul 8, 2007 by
Terry from Indianapolis, IN
“Great hotel. Very friendly people. Close to everything in New Orleans.” Jul 4, 2007 by
David from Daphne, AL
“With the devastation in the area we had heard a ton of reports about the increased crime and the bad state of affairs in the area. We spoke to other couples who stayed elsewhere who were upset with the terrible service. NOT SO at le Pavilion. Everyone was on their A game and we were very pleased about the hotel.” Jun 27, 2007 by
Ramona Q. from Antioch, TN
“Our stay at the Le Pavilion Hotel was fantastic with the exception of (2) issues: 1) While there were king-size beds available, it would have cost us an additional amount to have one, and 2) Being that I am a native of NO., and knowing the food serving you get, it was very disappointing not having a microwave or refrigerator in room. We could not take back any leftovers.” Jun 23, 2007 by
Karen from Champaign, IL
“Lovely lobby. Our room had too much furniture, smelled of mold, and the mattress was in need of replacement. Safe parking. Good location for businessmen, but need to drive or take a cab to the downtown area in the P.M.” Jun 21, 2007 by
Gregory from Bronx, NY
“As a first time, solo traveler to New Orleans, helpful and accommodating staff really helped make my stay pleasant from the get-go. I arrived a bit early to check in, and the very helpful lady at the front desk welcomed me, and allowed me to check in early and get settled in. All of the employees were very courteous in this hotel, which really helped to create a very classy, warm environment. They even hailed a cab for me to get to the airport when I was leaving. There were lots of small touches along the way, including the late night snacks in the lobby that really made the hotel a great stay.” Jun 20, 2007 by
Robert from Tifton, GA
“This is a beautiful hotel that is more than 4 stars. The service is wonderful and the staff will go out of their way to help in any way they can. The rooms are clean and way above a 4 star rating. I will stay in this hotel every time I visit new Orleans. Each night they have a pub and j buffet that is wonderful for the kids and it's free just for staying. When we departed the staff slipped a recipe for pub and j cookies made out to my son thanking him for being such a wonderful guest. They really made us feel welcome and comfortable. They have a rooftop pool and hot tub that is second to none. Also, after hurricane Katrina, they put up all of their employees and their loved ones affected by the storm until they got back in their homes. This hotel and its management is nothing less than a class act. I would recommend this hotel based just on that fact alone. You can't go wrong if you stay here. It's a short walk to the French quarter, and the river walk and they are very helpful with directions. Do yourself a favor and pick this hotel.” Jun 12, 2007 by
Peter from Port Allen, LA
“This a beautiful turns of the century landmark. The rooftop pool and Jacuzzi are very nice also. Great location and you have to partake in the late evening snack they provide.” Jun 11, 2007 by
Clint from Houston, TX
“Great hotel with a very friendly staff that tries to anticipate your needs. Great business hotel. I imagine their leisure packages would be very good as well.” Jun 9, 2007 by
Eric from Antioch, TN
“This Hotel brings you back in time in a very eloquent, expensive, tasteful way. I was shocked I was awarded this Hotel. I am from New Orleans. This is one of our finest. Please get rid of the Ambassador Hotel. This Hotel is beyond filth. You guys have received enough complaints to remove them from your list! I wouldn't put a dog at this Hotel.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 7, 2007 by

“Le pavilion hotel in new Orleans has a romantic old new Orleans "feel" with excellent service. The rooms were somewhat small and uncomfortable. If you stay be sure to upgrade to a larger room or suite.” Jun 2, 2007 by
John from Sugar Land, TX
“Not a good location, parking is too expensive. Not a four-star hotel.” May 8, 2007 by
Gerald from Oakland, Ca.

“We enjoyed our stay there. It was pleasant, quite; staff was kind, helpful and lively. I would recommend the hotels to other and will stay there again.” Jan 3, 2007 by
Aaron from Houston, TX
“Le pavilion is a very clean upscale hotel. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the French quarter and a 5 minute walk to Harrah¿s. My only complaint is like most of new Orleans hotels, valet parking is very expensive ($28 / night).” Jan 2, 2007 by
Thomas from Orlando, FL
“The le pavilion was very, very romantic and quaint. I have stayed in some very nice hotels from the west in to the Hyatt and this was the most memorable. I like it when the hotel room is a vacation in itself and this one was.” Jan 1, 2007 by
Janet from Crowley, LA
“I highly recommend staying at the le pavilion hotel if the opportunity arises. Our room was not large, but it was very quaint and comfortable.” Jan 1, 2007 by
Clint from Houston, TX
“Very good staff. First rate. Restaurant is average for this class. Front desk works to make it work for you. No spaces for smoking.” Dec 26, 2006 by
Tony from Troy, AL
“This is the kind of hotel you would take your girl to. Friendly people and great location. 3-4 blocks from bourbon street.” Dec 24, 2006 by
Aron from Colton, CA
“The hotel was beautiful, the service was great and friendly but is not four star hotel, the room was very small and the city was scary and not safe. ” Dec 6, 2006 by

“A beautiful must see hotel with historical new Orleans features. The only hotel with a late evening peanut butter and milk traditional snack laid out for all guests, free.” Nov 20, 2006 by
Jonathan from Atlanta, GA
“I enjoyed the elegance, class, charm, and history exhibited in the entire building. The late night lobby pbj snack concept is a terrific idea and brings a warm feeling to many guests. The water in the rooms is very cloudy (cannot see through it at all) and may not be safe to drink. Luckily I had some bottled water with me so that tooth brushing was not a problem. When I took my first shower, I noticed that the shower floor tile seemed moldy and was bit dirty. I was very uncomfortable when I discovered that the drain was not properly draining and the water was backing up so that my ankles were soaking in the water and bacteria from this disgusting shower. I called front desk that sent engineering to correct it. Engineer arrived within 15 minutes and went to get some drain. He arrived back promptly and "fixed the drain" as he told me. I was stupid enough not to check his work. As a result of my confidence in this engineers when I went to shower the next morning the problem was still there. I had dinner on my second evening in the hotel and it was a very pleasant atmosphere. I had met the server the prior evening and he gave me a good recommendation for a fantastic restaurant in the quarter. His service level even exceeded my expectations, which were very high after meeting him the prior evening. The next morning I tried to go to the buffet 24 minutes before they were to close. This was a mistake as they had already taken down some of the buffet and were working on lunch, which did not begin for another hour and 24 minutes. I settled for ordering off the menu after the staff discouraged me from the buffet. The order was lukewarm when it arrived and the waiter did not check to see if I needed more coffee when serving the food or until long after I had run out and when I was asking for my check. Upon check out when the young lady asked me if I enjoyed my stay, I informed her that I had several areas of extreme disappointment and the hotel fail.” Nov 14, 2006 by
Rachel from Panama City, FL
“We stayed two nights at the hotel, the first night was not a disappointment and we were satisfied with the courteous staff. However, the second night we upgraded to a "suite". It was such a disappointment, not very clean, nothing impressive, next to an elevator that sounded like a train all night long. Also, the toilet in the "suite" had a problem where it ran continuously all night, and could not actually flush until the next day. My fiancé tried to surprise me with the "suite" but overall it simply ended the trip on a sour note. Furthermore, the staff/manager seemed completely unconcerned about our complaints, saying he would "look into it." disappointing.” Nov 5, 2006 by
Julie from Mandeville, LA
“Very nice room, great price, lovely lobby area and friendly, competent staff. I would choose Le Pavilion again.” Nov 1, 2006 by
Judy from Houston, TX
“It is a beautiful hotel, great location, wonderful dining, and close to church, close to dome, close to local eateries, close enough to gambling!” Oct 24, 2006 by
Darlene from Memphis, TN
“I enjoyed this hotel and would stay here again. The hotel was very nice as was the staff.” Oct 21, 2006 by
Wayne from Solon, OH
“Really nice hotel! It was quite far from The Convention Center. It was a dark (at night) 6 block walk to the foot of `Bourbon Street¿. The pool and spa deck was great, staying open until 1AM. I was on the 9th floor and never knew if I was going to have hot water. When I did get it, it was for about a minute and a half at a time. ” Oct 20, 2006 by
Ross from Sacramento, CA
“Le Pavilion was a nice place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. Location is nice give it is within walking distance to Bourbon St. and the Riverfront mall. Lobby, workout facility, and pool/hot tub areas are all very nice. The room was nice but I expected more. Free in-room wireless internet is nice. Overall, I was pleased with my stay and highly recommend the pavilion.” Oct 19, 2006 by
Rolando from Beaverton, OR
“Excellent.” Oct 19, 2006 by
Cynthia from Baton Rouge, LA
“I was somewhat disappointed in the appearance of the room. I have stayed there about two years ago and the rooms were more romantic and luxurious. The owners really need to give the bedrooms a better appeal, especially with better padding and fluffy pillows. The size of the room was great but that's all.” Oct 5, 2006 by
Jamie from Sandia, TX
“It's called the Belle of New Orleans, because it is indeed beautiful. From the hand painted ceilings to the over sized TV, to the 3 telephones, you indeed feel treated luxuriously. It is about a 10 minute walk to the French Quarter, which can be a bit much. But because of the luxury of the hotel, the cleanliness, and the unbelievably friendly staff, I highly recommend this hotel.” Oct 3, 2006 by
Duane from Baton Rouge, LA
“Great historic luxury hotel. Got upgraded to deluxe room at check in. Rooms of moderate size, but with finer details than those of standard chain hotels. Turn down service provided. Great, friendly staff provided excellent service. Would definitely stay again.” Hotel Representatives:
