• Location, front desk staff.
• Room not cleaned well, old furniture, strange smell.

“Average overall, breakfast and breakfast area small but nice.”

• Proximity to good restaurants, inter and intra state road access and shopping.
• The decoration is solo outdated: ceiling borders and ugly color scheme. However it is undergoing renovations.

“Easy access to i-12 and short drive to the causeway that will take you to new Orleans. Lots of franchised restaurants and shopping (for middle income) around. A perfect spot for spending the night, having a nice meal and shop. The hotel is undergoing renovations and hopefully will upgrade the beds and the decoration. The sink is embedded in a granite counter and has a lot of space for all the makeup and toiletries. The room has a fridge, microwave and coffee pot with complimentary (but awful) coffee.”

• Close to restaurants, and a short distance to new Orleans.
• Chose a smoking room but it was not equipped with an ashtray.

“Coming back very well after hurricane KatriNA I would recommend that they have an entrance sign up to show how to get into the motel as you have to go to the intersection past the motel and turn around to get to the entrance.”

• Clean, neat convenient.
• Breakfast bar was skimpy, not typical of best west. Room too hot/cold.

“It was fine, comfortable and convenient. The staff was friendly and the surroundings, though just remodeled and being under remodeling, quiet.”

• Room smelled and general condition was poor.

• Security, and inability for management to help in canceling reservation, loitering.

“This hotel would not be a safe place for a solo traveler at all, there are loiterers outside the facility who will make comments to you. In addition to this the room was unclean and had holes in the ceiling tile.”

• Very convenient to stores and restaurants.
• The price was OK for the area but compared to other markets it was overpriced by 20%.

“A good business motel. It is 100% non smoking which is good for me. They also do not allow pets.”

• It was slightly cheaper than other hotels in the area.
• It was still way too expensive. Price gouging because of Katrina.

“About like any other Super 8. Needs some cosmetic work. All hotels in the area seem to be price gouging. ”
