• Very helpful and friendly staff!
• The beds were not very good and there was a lack of warmth to the bedding.

“Over all the stay was fine. The staff was very helpful, and we had no problems with check in or check out. The hotel was well equipped with toiletries (since we forgot a few) but the bed was our main complaint. Just not comfortable!”

• Very clean, staff courteous, nice facilities, easy to locate.
• Breakfast was not ready, had to wait for service.

“Overall experience was very good. Parking area not lit well. Hotel was clean and staff was very courteous. The market items were fresh and well prepared. Facilities were nice and gym area was great. Pool and spa were clean. Very much liked the fact that the entire hotel was smoke free. Would definitely recommend this hotel to colleagues, family, and friends.”

• Our room key did not work and there were too many non-hotel guests collecting around the front desk.

“The hotel was okay. The room seemed clean. There was only one staff on duty for the entire facility and she was being torn in several directions. That does not impress me about the management of the hotel. There were no movies available for my children to view. The free internet was great for us.”

• Room was quiet, even right next to a meeting room.
• Marriott does not willingly give us 2 queens instead of one king.

“We need 2 beds. And we always get the feeling that we are being treated as second rate. Our room was right next to a meeting room and was very, very damp. The pillow cases looked rumpled - I think because the dampness made them wilt.”

“The hotel met minimal 3 star standards. The hot breakfast buffet was very ambitious, but the attendant was overworked and couldn't keep up. It appeared to be a totally self-service operation but it wasn't. People sat down and served themselves as much as they could, but the result was chaos.”

• Reception and checkout team were very nice.
• The pool water was unsatisfactory with poor filtration and smell. The whirlpool was cold and smelled of algae. The breakfast at $8.95 was weak.

“The hotel is recently remodeled but the pool was in horrible shape (dirty and smelled). The breakfast buffet is an additional charge ($8.95) and had a limited selection.”

• The pool area and free high speed were nice.
• They did not have micro fridge and the bathrooms could have been cleaner.

“It was a nice hotel but lacked a simple fridge. The staff was fairly friendly. When I talked to them on the phone was not as accommodating as they were in person.”

“The hotel is right off the highway and convenient to many restaurants and shopping. The pillows are fantastic as is the shower. The pool and spa and exercise room that have their own towels. This is a great hotel for staying over a night or two and the community is super-friendly.”

• The bed was a little too soft but I know that 10 years ago I would have loved it .I guess I'm getting too old.

• I checked in late, but the new lobby is wonderfully useful.
• The access doors not as easy to use with the specific luggage issues, little issue.

“I would definably recommend this hotel. The location is a few extra miles from rte 20, but as good if not better than other in the area. The work out faculty was in good shape, it¿s important to me.”

• The lady who checked us in was very friendly and had a wonderful smile.
• Having stayed at other courtyards, I felt as if this was there smaller, cheaper, distant cousin.

“For those travelers who generally stay at Courtyards, please forgive the Jackson offering as even though it bears the name, there are few similarities. They rooms were recently renovated but seem to be in need of a re-renovation. The manager on duty was in a bad mood and a number of mistakes were made while checking in. The room was clean but smaller than I am used to. the hotel reminded me of some of the motels I have had the pleasure (dis) of staying in.”

• The staff was incredible! Friendly, helpful, bend-over-backwards!
• In-room phones & coffee maker didn't work and ground level was freezing!

“The hotel is obviously undergoing a renovation, and we must have caught it before it was finished. There were several things that just weren't right. For example, neither of the phones in the room worked. The in-room coffee maker was missing the carafe lid, so it overflowed. There was a painted-over chip on the porcelain bathtub. Several of the doors in the lobby and public areas were bent, appearing as if they had been opened with crowbars. Also, the ground level (first floor) of the hotel was freezing! However, the staff was incredible! Everyone was smiling, cheerful, professional, and out to please. They got me a replacement coffee maker when asked. When I tried to wash a load of clothes in the hotel's guest laundry room, they helped there. There was a sign on the wall that said laundry detergent was available at the front desk. The front desk clerk had no clue about this, but said she'd get me some delivered to my room. 30 minutes later came the knock at the door. They must have gone out to the store to buy some, because they handed me a home-laundry-room size box of laundry detergent that was brand new! At breakfast, I attempted to make myself a waffle, but didn't spray the waffle iron first. The staff very kindly said "no problem." then they spent the next 20 minutes scraping the waffle off of the iron and making and bringing me a new one. All along all of the staff was gracious and cordial. I have stayed at hotels throughout Europe and the U.S. including some 5-star hotels in new York and Los Angeles. I have never seen staff any better than at this Marriott courtyard in Jackson, miss. Simply amazing!”

• Reserved Queen. King with sofa was what they had. Coffee pot didn't fit Coffee maker.

• Spaciousness of the room.
• The bathroom had old, used soap, & a used washrag in it upon my arrival.

“I enjoyed the stay & thought it was a good value. I just wish the hotel bath were cleaned so that the last user's soap & used bath cloth were collected before my arrival. It made me wonder how well the toilet & bath were cleaned, or if they were cleaned at all.”

• Confusion about breakfast charge. we thought it was complimentary.

“The hotel is in a great location close to many restaurants, shopping centers, interstates. It is very clean and tastefully decorated. The staff was always friendly and helpful from the cleaning lady (who told good jokes) to the manager who went out of her way to clear confusion about the cost of breakfast. The pool was beautiful with a Jacuzzi. There was an on site laundry w/ complimentary detergent/softener, 24 hr exercise room and iron/ironing board in room. All together great experience.”
