• Room was large, great view of lake, nice fitness center.
• Parking not convenient unless you use valet at $15 a day.

“Lovely view of Lake Pontchartrain. Rooms were spacious. Stairways are not accessible for between floor uses. The gym was located just one floor below my room. Rather than take the elevator, I opted for the stairs only to discover, I could not access floors from the stairways. I had to walk down 10 flights of stairs and then take the elevator back up. I felt this was dangerous because the floors were not marked as you walked down. If something had happened, say someone fell, there was no way of knowing what floor you were on and there was no emergency contact method.”

• Parking was convenient, location.
• Had a little trouble with the coffee/tea setup. A few times maid would forget to leave cups and tea.

“Nice hotel, but the parking garage was a hassle. When I checked in and went to my room, I discovered that it was never cleaned, so I had to go back down and get a new room assignment. Getting from the parking garage to the hotel was inconvenient and not well marked. Very confusing.”

• It met my needs and it was very clean and attractive.
• Parking - I do not like to valet park because I am in and out. The parking was facility for self parking is difficult.

“This hotel is a first class hotel. Great location and easy access to many places to eat and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We even had a great view of the lake. The rooms were nicely decorated made you feel like you walked into a palace. Would definitely stay their again during my next visit.”

• Convenience to our location, beautiful and comfortable, nicely equipped, would stay here again.

“We had a lovely view of Lake Ponchatrain (12th floor), room was very nice and comfortable; I was able to hook up my computer and do work in a nice and quiet atmosphere. People were friendly and the place was beautiful. Thanks, Wayne.”

• Parking fee of $10 per day.

“Very nice hotel that has been recently updated with modern and attractive amenities. Not very close to the French Quarter, but conveniently located. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Some rooms have great views of Lake Ponchetrain.”

“Great hotel! Had a lakefront view from the health club. I wish I had time to use the health club's amenities, which included a weight room, sauna, walking track on the rooftop, basketball and tennis court, and indoor pool. Lobby area was gorgeous! I just did not like how much it is to park in New Orleans area! I felt like the parking should have been in the price of the room or complimentary to hotel guests. Overall, I had many jealous coworkers when they heard about my hotel stay. I recommend this hotel to anyone! Thank you.”

• The employees were great!
• I can't think of anything that I didn't like.

“This Marriott was terrific. The employees from the bellhop to the front desk couldn't have treated us better. Everything was clean and polished. We felt as if we were their only guests even though we knew they had quite a number of other guests. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.”

• Outstanding mattress on the king bed.
• Pool and roof access was thru an athletic club and not hotel.

• Overall quality of the hotel; appearance, cleanliness, and service.
• Front desk didn't allow us to call down to have car pulled around; even though the valet parker suggested it.

“Our stay was absolutely enjoyable. The hotel was beautiful and the stay was very comfortable. The Romantic package with champagne and strawberries upon arrival was a perfect start to a great weekend. Thank you.”

• Smelled of paint and had paint tracks on the floor and baseboards, closet door was jammed.

“Hotel is conveniently located off of I-10 and the Causeway. It is newly renovated, but the room smelled like paint and had minor paint tracks on the floor and baseboards. Other than that, it was pretty clean. The room had a large LG screen with numerous options including internet as well as many hookups for the guest's own electronics.”

• Excellent Hotel, Easy access to and from. Clean and nice!!!
• The charge for in room internet service would be the only thing that keeps me from going back to Lakeside.

“Great location and Hotel. The extra charge for internet service was the only turnoff. Even the discount chains give free internet. I had work I could have completed but felt put off by the additional charge and chose not to pay the extra. Like I said previously, the extra charge for internet would be the only thing keeping me from returning and I will gladly tell my friends about how nice the hotel is, but will warn them about the extra fees associated with Lakeside.”

• I liked the beds, absolutely wonderful. Also parking was just $6.50, great price.
• I did not like the hotel shower fixtures, old. Carpet could be cleaned well & nice coat of paint on walls.

• I liked the beds, extremely comfortable. The view from the 15th floor was really nice.
• This hotel should update their shower fixtures.

• It combined a lovely lake view with spacious lodging.
• Paid parking and marginally comfortable bedding.

“The hotel is in a good location. Restaurants, churches, shopping centers, and amusements are nearby. The three minute drive from the interstate makes it a quieter and more pleasant locale too. The staff is friendly and efficient. The rooms are spacious. Unfortunately, the parking charge is unnecessarily burdensome and the bedding is not the high quality support system I would expect.”

• Beautiful view of the lake. Staff went out of their way to please guest. Overall a very good experience.
• The inability to make a proper egg's benedict.

“Was a very nice hotel. I didn't take advantage of all it had to offer so I cannot speak to the overall effect of the establishment. My experience personally was that the patio on my room was locked which I didn't appreciate, toiletries in the hotel concierge were limited, and parking in the lot across the street was cumbersome. The room was very nice and very clean, the beds were comfy, the bathroom was clean though small.”

• Hotel was in transition(name change). Hard to find with no name outside.

“Hotel in need of renovation. Staff was nice, but one knew nothing of nearby restaraunts. Had to take own luggage to car after a 30 minute wait when checking out. This was a problem as I am disabled and so is my son. No handicap accessible rooms with 2 double beds...only w/ 1 bed. No name on outside of hotel made it hard to find.”

• The room was in excellent condition and we loved the 9th story swimming pool
• We had to pay 6.75/day to park. The hotel staff were not very personable.

“This is a very nice hotel that overlooks Lake Ponchatrain. There is a great swimming pool, hot tub, jogging track, tennis courts and spa on the 9th floor.”
