  • Nothing.
  • It was filthy, had no Wi-Fi and when I opened the door to my room, there was a vagrant inside.

“I would greatly appreciate being considered for a credit for 4 nights at a Quality Inn. I know that this hotel typically offers respectable services, but my experience at the Metairie location was frightful. From no Wi-Fi (which required me to change locations) to the vagrant in my room and the staff's relocation of my room just 2 doors down, to the mildew, mold and used bars of soap in the shower, I would never recommend this particular location to any friend - only to an enemy.”

“My 4 night stay was very comfortable. The staff (all of them) was more than friendly. The breakfast was out of this world. The hotel provided a very good selection for dinner at a good and fair price.”

  • It was close to downtown, and anything you could want.
  • We came back one afternoon, and the cleaning person had not fully latched the door. Nothing was taken thankfully.

“We liked the hotel, and would stay there again since it is in a great spot. Breakfast was great. The staff was so nice, and would help you with anything. The room was big enough for two, but the microwave wasn't working. Cheap enough to get a cab to downtown, and easy to get to a parking garage too.”

  • I was greeted by one friendly staff person but the rest were no good.
  • There was trash in the hallways. They did not have any bridges available for connecting a laptop to an internet line.

“Not suitable for business travelers except the most budget-minded.”

  • Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.
  • No parking, first room was dirty, second room out of date but clean.

“We were told that the hotel was sold out for the night, so no non-smoking rooms were available. The first room we were given had been used. The beds were rumpled and the bathroom had been used. When we informed the front desk, a gentleman came up and met us in the room. He immediately agreed that we needed a different room and went down to the desk to "check his inventory." He returned with a key to a second room which was clean, but apparently in an older part of the hotel. The bathroom was especially out of date, but it was clean. There was also a mix-up when we were ready to check out-the front desk attendant wanted to charge our credit card for the room. The front desk manager was very apologetic about the confusion. Overall, the staff salvaged the stay.”

  • It is in a good central location.
  • Rooms were disgusting. Very filthy!

“This hotel is by no means a 2 star hotel. It may have been in the 60's when it was built, but it looks like the same furniture as they started with the mattresses was extremely hard and warns out. The whole hotel smelled musky, and the whole floor where my room was located smelled like a dirty ashtray. I Pre-arranged a non-smoking room with the front desk the day before arrival, and when we got there they didn't know anything about it, and they only had smoking rooms left.”

“Horrid! This is the only word I can think of to describe this hotel. Upon entering my room, I found that the lights didn't work. One of the lamps didn't have a bulb; the other lights flickered on and off. The room smelled of mold (bad) and the television didn't work. The floors, bathroom, and bed were horribly dirty. So much that I was sure they had accidentally given me a room that hadnt been cleaned yet. I called the front desk and complained. They moved me to what they described as a "better" room. All I can say about the new room was that the television did work in this one. The mold smell was much worse. The thermostat was broken so I couldnt get any heat or air. Thank goodness it was a comfortable temperature outside or I would have really suffered. The bathroom was old, grimy, and moldy. I laid out towels on the bed and slept on top of them because the bed linens looked as though it had been a while since they had seen the inside of a washing machine. I lined the tub with towels and stood on the towels just to take a shower. I wore my shoes the entire time. There was no way I was letting my bare feet touch that nasty floor! After a restless night, I woke at 6am and promptly checked-out. I went down the street to a much better hotel. I dont know how or why the health department hasn't shut them down!”

  • Very quick response by hotel maintenance when heat did not work.
  • Cleanliness of bathroom was horrible.

“Cleanliness of bathroom was terrible but when we complained that the heat did not work, we received a call back from maintenance and they showed up in our room to fix the problem within 5 minutes. For one or two night stay the location is very good and easy to get to attractions but would not use for any long term stay.”

  • Needs renovation bad, ran out of basic supplies & food.

“The building needs renovation badly. The management is not providing adequate supplies like towels, facecloths, basic items. The bed was severely worn and sagged badly in the middle resulting in very little sleep. The restaurant ran out of food 40 minutes before the buffet breakfast was due to close. The staff worked heroically to make this bad situation better. This is obviously a problem with management, not the staff.”

  • Te hotel was short staffed or the staff was lacking in their ability to perform.

“The room was not well stocked. There were no wash cloths and there wasn't an alarm clock. When we went down for breakfast at 9:15, there was no food left, and the waitress said the kitchen staff was refusing to replenish the buffet. They were so short on manpower at the front desk, that it took around 25 minutes to check in.”

  • They did have a hot breakfast although not the best.
  • The bathrooms were old and dirty. The room livable but not comfortable.

“This hotel should not even be given any type of star rating. I know the hotels in and around the new Orleans area have been "lived" in a lot since the hurricane and obviously this one had a lot of problems before and since the storm. It needs a complete renovation. The bathroom floor was sticky to walk on and appeared dirty. The sink was very rusty. It is a dingy hotel that is very old and needs to be updated. It certainly is not the 2 star qualities that was rated and does not match the other 2 star hotels in area. We were quite disappointed. We use you regularly because we travel a great deal with our job.”

  • Nothing, it was a dump.
  • Ice machines, elevator didn't work, smelled.

“There was black fungus on the bathroom ceiling, water leaked on me in the elevator and then only 1 of 3 elevators worked, only 1 ice machine on 10 floors worked, the front desk wouldn't answer the phone, the shower head was through a hole in the wall. ”

  • Great location to the French quarter.
  • Parking. No lot, had to use parking deck next to hotel for $20.00 night. This is common in New Orleans.

“The room was wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel to others. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was the parking. The hotel didn't have a lot, so you had to find your own parking. A deck was right next to the hotel, but was $20.00 a night. This is very common in New Orleans, so don't let it keep you from staying at this hotel. It was the weekend, so I parked on the street for free.”

  • Run down, but that is why it is low priced.

  • Absolutely nothing, it was filthy and very scary.
  • Bedbugs, mold, malodorous, filthy, broken.

“We were greeted with a horrible moldy stench. Front desk personnel were scary and intimidating. The whole environment was raunchy, run down and falling apart. The door was hard to open, and insecure. The air in the room was stale and it was obvious that there was mold everywhere. I save the best for last, imagine laying down on your bed or pillows extremely tired from the all day flight. This stench was deeply embedded into the pillows, sheets, blankets and even the mattress. However the grand conclusion or ultimate parting gift was the bed bugs. I felt very disgusted and cheated and lied to. ”

  • Nothing old rooms charge for local calls.
  • I left my phone book I called I have never got a response I was told to call and leave my cell number, but no one every called me from house keeping.

  • The location, the microwave, and refrigerator.
  • Thin walls/lots of noise, smelly room, mildew on bathroom floor, stains on bedding, rusty light fixture, dirty carpet, dark hallways, small elevator.

“This hotel was the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The room smelled like an ashtray, the floors were covered in a dark soot to where it stained our white socks black, there was a sticky film on everything in the room, there was cigarette ash on the window sill, the light fixtures were rusty, the bathroom floor was covered in mildew, the bedding had various stains on them and looked as though they had not been washed in weeks, my toddler son found beer bottle caps under the bed. I was unable to fall asleep until 5am because of the noise level from the halls and in the rooms next to us (we could hear people on either side of us fornicating), the hallways were poorly lit and the walls were unevenly painted to where streaks were visible. We had planned to eat at the hotel restaurant, but when we got there the waitress was sitting at one of the tables talking on her cell phone and using profanity-laced language. We quickly changed our minds. Upon checkout, the staff asked for my keys and then said, "You're good" and waved me away. They did not ask about my stay or seemed interested in what I had to say.”

  • Pretty ghetto.

“The location was convenient in that it is just off the freeway and between the airport and the French Quarter, so it worked for us getting in late the night before we left for a cruise. You would not want to stay here if you were visiting (location-wise) and hanging out in the French Quarter. We were delighted to learn they have a free airport shuttle! This might be good for some travelers as there was a microwave & coffee maker in the room. Definitely ask for a non-smoking room if you don't smoke.”

  • The floor tile in the lobby area was nice.
  • The hotel is old and outdated.

“As a pastor and traveling minister, I stay in at least 40 hotels a years. I spend more time in my car and hotels than I my home, due to my business travel. My visit to the hotel was not pleasant at all. My room was unclean and the appearance of the hotel was outdated.”

  • Our room was large enough for our group to stay together.
  • The sleeper sofa was dirty and not at all comfortable enough, our son had to sleep on the sofa not pulled out as a bed.

“The staff was excellent. The bathroom needed to be updated and refreshed. the living area was very large and accommodated our party very nicely. The food was very good and a good value.”

  • Absolutely nothing!
  • The smell, the roaches everywhere, the lacking hospitality of the staff.

“I was disgusted with this hotel. I walked in and smelled something fowl. I was disappointed but was going to tolerate it. After about 30 minutes, I noticed roaches on the TV, the bureau and the wall and mirror behind it. I immediately called the front desk. Without any concern, they offered to relocate my room after I went downstairs and complained. They told me there was nothing they could do for me. I ask them to relocate me to another hotel. They refused, telling me there were no hotels available. I was told I would not be charged for any of the nights. I left and called around. I found vacancy at the Hilton. ”

  • hotel need maintiance work was very below par .

“Hotel has a good location next to Interstate Highway 10 (TEN) but the hotel is in poor working condition the wall plug in my room (the 2nd assign) had a poorly install cover which prevented it's use with a laptop computer AC power adapter or my cellular phone charger. The other light fixtures were power by the use of an electrical extension cord, which also often can loose because it was behind the headboard. The carpeting the hallways are in bad shape worn and old looking. The first room I was assign had a leak in the bathroom, which caused the room carpet to be wet.”

“This hotel is the worse one in my this two weeks trip. It's duty, urgly, uncomfortable. It's not an 2-star hotel. I would say it is not even an 1-star hotel. Except it's good location, not thing else will attract customers. ”

  • Easy to get in and out of hotel.
  • Arrived at 8:30 p.m. Room was not ready, told me it would take about 40 mins. because they were so busy.

“Hotel is older, but still clean. Hotel itself was fine, but room was not ready at 8:30 at night. This was ridiculous.......Complained and questioned what would happen if I had been there at check in of 3p.m.???????”

“ this is by far the worst place I've stayed........the location was ok.....but the hotel was very old & not kept up--an elevator broke & stayed broken the 2 days I was there & the fire alarm went off & found out from another hotel guest the last time it happened it was at 3.00 am.......I was on the top floor 10th”

  • The hotel was very close to I-10 and only minutes away from downtown New Orleans and the French Quarters.
  • The elevators and rooms were old, hallways were flithy, no style, the linen (both towels and sheets) were rough.

“This hotel is in desperate need of a extreme makeover. I would not wish a stay at this hotel on my worst enemy. The lobby was decent and would lead one to believe that the rooms would be inhabitable. But, what a misrepresentation! I will never stay at this particular Quality Inn again and would not recommend that anyone else stay there either. ”

“Everything was dirty. It smelled bad. I stayed in a non-smorking room, but it smelled bad. Bed was extremely old, and blanket was not clean. Also, their service was bad. They did not open the restaurant on time because the chief was late, and they did not apologize. Good thing was it was cheap, I got $28 a night. The location was ok, and it was not too loud.”

  • We had a corner room
  • the hotel smelled like dirty diapers. The 1st floor needs to be renovated BADLY

“The room was nice. But the first impression going in was NOT a good one. The hallways look like they are going to fall down and the stinch in the hotel was like going into a sweat pit and loaded with dirty diapers. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful though.”

  • Not enough parking, staff at front desk not trained properly.

“Men's bathroom in lobby was horrible. Partition between stalls was rusted real bad. Staff at front desk was not pleasant nor some were not trained to answer all questions. One heavy set lady wouldn't even acknowledge me standing there. My room, even though non-smoking had a horrible smell. We had to buy a deodorizer and spray daily.”
