• The police came in a timely manner.

“I would never recommend this location. It smelled bad and the bathroom didn't seem clean, but we figured we would only be there overnight. Should have gone with our first instinct and left.”

• Great shower head.
• No pool.

“Nice acceptable hotel for short stays and layovers. They still need to change their signs. It still says Ramada even though it is a Howard Johnson now. I was made aware of that, but the no vice traveler would have driven right past it.”

• Roaches, thin walls, bad pillows.

“Well beds comfortable, pillows were bad, when we woke up there was a roach on table. I didn't say anything but then we went to breakfast and came back another big roach, that's when I freaked out they gave us ten dollars off, wasn't worth it would never stay again. Front desk lady was nice but not worth bugs.”

• Not too bad location if you have a car.
• Carpet has a slight dirty feeling, glass wall to outside a little insecure.

“Budget stay place. Decent though. Provides a decent breakfast, and staff are helpful. Cleanliness could be better. Quality of furniture and amenities could also be better.”

• Friendly service and helpful staff.
• The door to the room opened to the parking lot. A bit noisy.

“It was actually a "motel" (did not expect doors opening to the outside). A leak in our room led to nicer accommodations (from two doubles to a two room, two bath suite) at no additional charge. The continental breakfast was surprisingly decent.”

• It was close to Beale street.
• The beds were so hard I could barley sleep normally the beds are the best part.

“My overall stay was good. The only complaint I had was that the beds felt like I was sleeping on the floor. I have never stayed in a hotel and not like the beds. Other than that it was good stay.”

• The breakfast provided was terrific. Enjoyed the hot meal option. Fridge and microwave in room was nice.

• When found something wrong staff accommodated me with what I requested.
• The first room I was in wasn't properly cleaned I found dirty towels and used soap.

“This hotel was overall pleasant for the price and was located by plenty restaurants and stores the location was great it was right off the highway somewhat.”

• The continental breakfast was decent.
• Our room was not fully prepared when we arrived.

“Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at this location. My room was adequately clean and stocked with clean towels; however there were a few shortcomings noted.1. The toilet didn't operate properly (it wouldn't flush), 2. The rooms trash cans had no liners.3. The toilet paper within our bathroom was soiled. It appeared to have gotten wet / stained at some point prior to our arrival but instead of being changed out and replaced with a new, clean roll, it was left hanging during our stay.”

• The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good.
• There wasn't an elevator and we stayed in a second floor room. It was a little tough.

“This hotel was very nice for the short time we stayed there. The staff was very helpful in giving directions to places in Memphis. The continental breakfast was sufficient for my family. The room was clean and everything worked pretty well! We were very satisfied.”

• Old, dirty carpet and had to park far away from room to keep from getting paint on vehicle from remodel crew that was painting exterior walls.

“This hotel is old and run down. Lobby was very nice but rooms had old, dirty carpet. Television remote did not work. Beds were not very comfortable. This hotel needs to be totally renovated instead of just a surface renovation.”

• Breakfast was terrific! The shower head was awesome!
• The bathrooms were really small.

“Nice location, east access to highways. Bathroom was quite small, but otherwise, we were very happy with our choice. Great selection for a basic continental breakfast.”

“I was robbed of my laptop in the parking lot and the wifi did not work. The cops suspect hotel staff might have been involved. The room was fine, but the people staying seemed seedy.”

• It was convenient and clean. The continental breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
• The bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have liked, little hairs etc.

“I ended up staying at my room most of Saturday because of the storms in the area. The room was very suited to my needs. I don't know if my wife would have enjoyed her stay as much as I did because she notices such things as little hairs in the bathroom more than me. For my purposes and the price it was very sufficient.”

• Very easy access from both I-40 and I-55.
• Our room thermostat didn't work, so we couldn¿t adjust the temperature. Temp ok though.

“The best 2-star Ramada hotel I've stayed in. The breakfast was also great, having both hot and cold items. They also had high chairs for the dining area, something many "free continental breakfast" hotels don't have. We have used this hotel for every cross country trip we've made since we found it.”

• When we first came into town we had a real hard time finding the hotel.

• After driving straight thru the night the desk clerk let us check in very early!
• No real butter on breakfast buffet.

“This hotel was very easy to find off I55 south, but difficult off I40 west. Accommodations were as expected for a quick nights stop, just needed a bed and shower. Although I'm starting to think I should pack Tilex whenever I travel. Every hotel I stayed at this trip had a little mildew in their bathtub tile!”

• The price we paid, convenient parking.
• Bugs, dirty water, smelly bathroom.

“The room was acceptable, but it seemed that it had not been used in quite awhile. We were placed at the back of the facility way away from all amenities. When we turned the water on to take a bath, it came out rusty looking. When I pulled down a towel to dry off, it had dried bug wings or something on it. There was a dead bug on the floor clearly visible that should have been cleaned up by housekeeping. We were grateful for the price but probably would not stay in this town again unless we were really desperate.”

• The continental breakfast is great! Something for every taste, including my kids' finicky taste buds. It was nice to not need to go to a restaurant.
• There was not a non-smoking room with two double beds available, and the bathroom was so small that I had to stand half in the tub to close the door.

“It was perfectly positioned between many eating establishments and shopping centers including the almighty Wal-Mart Super center. I have stayed here twice and the rooms are always clean and the front desk helper is very friendly. The housekeeping staff were not especially nice or even friendly, but it was not required that they speak to us, so it was easily overlooked. I will stay here again in the future, especially if a non-smoking room with two double beds is available.”

• Nice lobby and good breakfast. Rooms were modest, but clean.
• We had to park away from our room and walk down an outdoor hallway to get to the room.

“We were very pleased. The rooms were nice and clean, but nothing fancy. The lobby is very nice where they serve a nice breakfast. They call it continental, but they have biscuits and gravy, waffles, and lots of continental choices. Some rooms are only accessible from an outdoor hallway, meaning you have to park, then walk down corridors to get to your room. I would request a room on the outside if I stay again.”

• Good location. 10 minutes from Downtown Memphis, good value for the money.
• Vinyl drop ceiling in the bathroom. Needs updating.

“For the price it was a good deal. The rooms could use some updating, but they were clean. The location was good in that we were only 10 minutes from downtown Memphis and 5 from the Dog Track.”
