  • Historic building, elegant decor and amazing hotel staff.
  • It seemed to be located in a less busy area of downtown, although restaurants were within a block or two.

“A nice hotel in an historic building in downtown St. Louis with an amazing staff. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle within a 5 mile radius. We stayed in their Ambassador suite, which was a very large room with two sleeping areas, two TV's, two full bathrooms (one with large jacuzzi tub) and separate A/C units. The room was comfortable and elegant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff really made it nice. Each one was friendly, helpful and had a wonderful attitude. The employees must be well trained and standards high. We were impressed.”

“If you stay at this hotel, do not waste your money on their continental breakfast for $9.00 a person, you would do better walking a couple of blocks and eating and get a good meal for less. Our pillows had lipstick all over it.”

  • Great atmosphere, friendly staff, very comfortable room.

“I had never heard about the Omni Hotel chain before but definitely one of the best I have stayed at. The room was huge and very comfortable. The staff was sure to make me feel like I was at home. Parking price was a little steep but not that uncommon due to location and when compared to other hotels of its quality. I was passing through St. Louis when I stayed there and plan to stay there next time too. Worth every penny.”

“Very nice place to stay. The staff there was very accommodating. Let us check in early so we could head to the baseball game. About a 15 minute walk to Busch Stadium. Great rooms!”

  • Comfortable, romantic atmosphere; free wireless internet was appreciated.
  • Noise problem with heat/AC fan in our room. I thought there was a pool; refrigerator in the room would be helpful; parking was an issue.

“Hotel staff was consistently friendly and helpful; rooms were clean, pleasant and comfortable; pleasant romantic atmosphere; our room had a problem with noise from the heat/AC fan parking was very limited, which is to be expected for a downtown hotel, but the only option offered by the hotel was valet parking for $24/day; although this would be convenient if we had needed our car frequently, we simply wanted to park for the weekend and walk/use public transportation - that's why we stayed downtown; another option is needed (street parking is available at meters and is free on the weekends).”

  • Great staff, heavy attention to detail, super clean rooms.
  • No swimming pool for kids.

“Great hotel. Do know that they have an additional $25/day for valet, but considering the other luxury hotels Downtown, that did not bother us. We'd stay again, just simply because we felt like we were family. I stay at 100+ hotels per year, and this rates as the top one this year!”

  • It was small and not very crowded. The staff was very nice.
  • I did not like the parking. It was valet only and we like to park our own vehicle.

“The hotel had a very historic feel to it. It was furnished very nicely and had all the amenities we needed for an overnight stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions. The room was well stocked with extra pillows and towels. The bed was as comfy as my own bed at home! I will plan to stay there again if I go to st. Louis in the future.”

  • High Speed internet access for free in the room.
  • Smokey odor near the restaurant/bar.

“Very nice room. The staff was very friendly. My TV remote was broken and the staff had a new remote to me, literally, within 3 minutes. The night-time chocolate is a nice touch.”

“The only concern was not being privileged to enjoy their continental breakfast as an amenity with our stay. They charged $10.75 for each person. They are the first hotel to do this to us.”

  • Size of room was amazing. Bed was wonderful and bedding luxurious.
  • Valet parking and charge.

“We would definitely consider this hotel again. The size of the room and amenities classified it more of a suite. We were very pleased. The front desk gentleman was friendly and helpful. He remembered me from a phone conversation because I mention the type of car I was driving when he said they only offered valet service. The bar staff were very accommodating. Very pleased.”

  • It had personality. Not like the regular chain hotels.
  • $24 a day parking was outrageous and the highest Ive ever paid.

“It would be nice if they had a small weight lifting area or machine to add to the cardio machines. The service and hotel were nice, but the parking fee would keep me from going there again. They also charged us for a small box of cashews we did not eat.”

  • The location was excellent. Right near all the attractions we wanted to go to. Also the staff was very pleasant. Enjoyed their shuttle service.
  • Room was only satisfactory. Requested two beds was told that was fine and checked in had 1 king and pull out sofa.

“I had only one issue that was not pleasant. Friday evening I verbally told the front (male) manager that the room was stuffy. We came back from dinner and at to request a fan and open the windows. Thankfully it was mild that night. The next day I told them again and was hoping when I returned at 4:00 p.m. with my family to rest, the problem would be solved. It was not. I reported the problem again by calling the front desk from my hotel room. We left again for dinner and finally at 9:00pm found some relief. But I was never offered an apology gift, such as drinks from the bar, complimentary breakfast or dinner. I thought that would have been a basic offer. Other than that, it was very nice.”

  • Beautifully appointed, good-sized room.
  • There's only street parking, which is ok on weekends, but would be impossible otherwise. Or $20/day.

“Built in 1913 and seems to be recently re-modeled. The hotel is compact and dignified. I always like free Wi-Fi. It's neighborhood is good but restaurants seem to be sparse. Excellent location for those doing business in downtown St. Louis.”

  • The customer service, everyone was so friendly. The room was perfect. Just what we needed and room service was very reasonably priced!

  • No free parking.

“The staff was very courteous and helpful. They turned us on to a cheap way to get tickets for the sold-out cardinal's game through a special promotion. It was within easy walking distance to the stadium and the riverfront. I was treated as I was staying at a very fancy and expensive 4-star hotel. The only downside was the valet parking rather than parking lot, but it was to be expected being downtown.”

  • Room service did not get it right, and had 4 levels of charges!

“Right in the heart of downtown, omni provided a very large room with nice beds and typical hotel amenities. They had a buffet breakfast available, and mostly all day room service, though the late night selection was poor.”

  • I liked How quiet the hotel was. Very relaxing for adults.
  • There was really nothing that I did not like. I found no faults.

“This was an excellent location for the entertainment I was after in St. Louis. I liked the old world charm and the gracious manner of the hotel. I liked the fact this was not a cookie cutter hotel.”
