• It was a very spacious room - especially when you have to put up a crib in the room.
• The pool was not easily labeled as to where to find it.

“It was a great hotel. We got a little lost trying to find it only because of the construction on I64. Other than that it was a great hotel and well worth the money.”

“This hotel lacked all the small amenities that should be included in any major hotel chain including, but not limited to, coffee in the AM was available in the lobby (creamer to go with that), an abundance of ants and insects on the patio outside the restaurant, rude personnel with the exception of a few, and so on. Will not stay again.”

• Everyone from the check-in staff to the cleaning crew was very helpful and answered all of our questions and concerns very promptly.
• The indoor pool was cold.

“I would say that this hotel is geared more towards the business traveler but we have two kids under the age of 5 and we were very happy with our stay. The facilities were very clean and parking was close. Even though this hotel is tucked away in business area it was very easy to get and had many things nearby. I would definitely stay there again.”

• No free internet. No free internet. Wi-Fi or network.

“This hotel was great except for no free WiFi or hard wire internet in the room. I have been to many hotels where if they didn't offer free WiFi they at least offered network jacks in the room for free. Not here not only did they not have hard wire or WiFi in the rooms but they didn't have free WiFi in common area either. 10 bucks a day is just a little too much for the internet. Other than this issue the hotel was fabulous.”

Convenient location across from the airport and includes shuttle to the airport. My daughter loved the indoor and outdoor pool plus the fitness center.”

• This hotel is located near some beautiful walking trails.
• This hotel is slightly outdated and in need of some updating.

“Nice, family friendly hotel with very comfortable beds. The rugs in the hallway and the rooms are a little outdated and old looking. The toilets and sinks also need some updating.”

“We invariably stay in Marriott's as our upscale choice. This is the worst we've seen. Smaller than normal room. No amenities were offered. Whirlpool/hot tub for appearances only, no therapeutic value, since no high speed jets working.”

“Nice, relatively new, hotel in quiet location. Excellent shopping and dining are only a short drive away. Room was very clean and well furnished. Free parking was convenient and safe. Only downside was the hotel charges $10/day for internet access.”

“I was not really impressed with this hotel. The room was small and the bathroom was very small. No free Wi-Fi; no free breakfast; no free parking; no free anything! The pool area was pretty cool, but there were so many people using it that you really could not get in.”

• The location was great and the shuttle from the hotel was excellent. My children arrived hours before I did because of plane delays.
• Paying for parking.

“The hotel was clean and located minutes from the airport. My children were allowed to check in, thank God because my plane was delayed until 2 in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful to them.”

• Nice view and convenient to freeway; comfy bed.
• The maid did not get to our room until 6:15 pm - too late.

“This hotel met our needs, but was not what we're used to for a 3-star hotel. It had a nice view, but no balcony. The king bed was quite comfy! However, the maid service didn't arrive until 6:15 pm, which was after we arrived back after a long day to find our room still not serviced. We just asked for more towels.”

• Tremendous view from my room.
• Room smelled musty like it might have been a smoker at one time.

“The desk staff was very friendly and helpful with one exception. They failed to explain that they would be with holding $50 per day from my debit card. It is now five days since I checked out and the money has still not been returned to my account. As noted above the room had an unpleasant odor that was either moldy or old smoke. It was particularly bad when the AC was running. Multiple views from my room were fantastic consisting of fountains, pools, forests and a river. Could watch for hours.”

• No soap, mold around the tub caulking, commode run off and on, key was keyed wrong.

• It was not in the best or safest location. It was not maintained and very dirty.

“Definitely a 2 star hotel. Bathroom was filthy with dirt ring in bath. Staff was very unkind and in unsafe location in downtown St. Louis. Also woke up to construction noise at 4 am. Would have loved to stay next door at the Renaissance.”

“Especially for the price, this hotel was great. The room wasn't very big, but it was very clean. The bed was so comfortable I wanted to take it home with me. My kids loved the pools and I loved the 2 foot depth on the shallow end for my younger kids.”

• Parking gets full in evening, location (there are no restaurants or gas stations anywhere around).

“We enjoyed our night at this Marriott. Staff was very friendly. There is a peaceful walking trail out back and a nice pool area. Hotel was clean and quiet. The parking got full in the evening so you have to park in a parking garage a little ways away. This hotel is amongst office buildings so there is nothing around. We had to go back to the highway and drive 10 miles before we found a place to eat.”

“In our opinion, this is the best spot to stay when needing to be close to the STL airport. There's a feeling of quality when you stay there and it's a great start to a trip. We especially love the pool areas at this hotel. They could upgrade their bedding as many hotel chains which would enhance the comfort level.”

• It was very nice, and clean. Loved the price and will try to stay there again.
• No air conditioning in one of the 3 rooms and had to move very late at night.

“I was disappointed that the front desk was not aware of the air conditioning problem in one of the 3 rooms we stayed in. My mom got all settled and then had to move her things. The hotel staff was accommodating however, it broke up our group, and made 3 of the 11 of us stay 3 floors away. Otherwise everything was great!”

• Location, comfort and quality.
• Meeting rooms are next to hotel rooms and receptions can be noisy and ongoing until early into the morning.

“This is my 3rd stay at this hotel in a year. My stays have been great until this past stay. The meeting room had a reception going on and was across the hall from my room. People were drunk and loud and it went on till 2am. Staff needs to be more aggressive in handling this sort of problem. I heard them outside of the hall when my room and I are sure other rooms called front desk to complain (about 12 times). Their response wasn't effective and they should have gotten police involved after they were cursed at and repeated attempts to handle it themselves. I will be staying there again in a couple of weeks. I hope this stay will be better or it will be my last.”
