“The hotel was nice and really suited my need as a traveler. This hotel is set-up like an apartment. Also, the hotel was very quiet. I would stay here again. Also, the hotel had free parking and breakfast, which were a bonuses.”

• Location was quite good.
• Beds were old, worn-out and uncomfortable. Found several bugs in our room.

“This Residence Inn was showing its age. I expected more upon arrival from such a quality name brand in an upscale area of St. Louis. I would say I still received a value for what I paid, but again not what I would expect from Residence Inn by Marriott. It had old, worn-out mattresses, stained carpet, a bug problem, and a woefully undersized breakfast area for the number of rooms on the property.”

“Our experience here was great. The room are a bit dated, including older furniture that has seen better days. In other words, if you were expecting a flat screen tv with the fancy armoir, think again. On the other hand, we found the place to be very clean. Much of the room has been updated. The hotel is located in a great part of town, convenient to many ST. Louis attractions. My wife is a germophobe and a bit of an "uptown" girl and she approved. We would definitely come back. For the price, you could not find a better option.”

“The staff could not have been any friendlier or more helpful. The common areas were very clean. It was tucked back in a perfect area, right near the galleria mall - perfect secluded location close to all the amenities. I will definitely be returning!”

• Very clean and wonderful staff.
• Pool area was small and as a result, very crowded.

“A good place when traveling with your family the Residence Inn was perfect with a small kitchen area for quick meals and the fold out sofa makes a good children's bed. The bed was comfortable and dressing area was somewhat private. The room was very, very clean and the daily maid service quick and complete. All the staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. There is plenty of parking. Direct access to the hotel is limited due to the road construction, but once you learn your way around the detours it is located conveniently near shopping, food and attractions such as the Science Center and Zoo.”

• Nothing. Well they gave free jolly ranchers.
• Everything.

“Recently stayed at the Residence Inn St. Louis Galleria and it was simply uncomfortable and disgusting. The customer service was horrible as well but I will get to that soon. Our room was small and dingy looking. The bed was beyond hard, the couch was nasty, and the carpet had stains on it. The kitchen was not pleasant looking, the bathroom was not welcoming and it did not smell fresh at all. My boyfriend and I woke up on Saturday morning itching and both complaining of feelings of being bitten. So basically we believe we had bed mites or something of that sort in the bed. We didnt call the front desk because we were in and out of the room. We checked out early because we could not longer take how uncomfortable the room was. There are so many other hotels around the area. Please dont stay-in this on. I expect comfort and friendly customer service and that is something we did not get. As an overview. The bed obviously had some type of critter in it as we both complained of itching and small bumps. The bathroom was not clean. The kitchen was not clean and carpet looked as if it had stains on it. The bed was brick hard and very uncomfortable. The smell in the room was far from fresh. The customer service was horrible.”

“This is a great place, location is excellent and convenient and the staff had me at hello, every single one seemed pumped and anxious to please no matter what the issue. I really enjoyed the nice kitchen, they had everything I needed to prepare meals.”

• The hotel was quiet and is set up like individual little townhouses.
• The pool was outside and was in need of better upkeep.

“I loved the set up of the hotel; there were several little townhouses with 4 units each or so. You don't get all the noise you have with a regular hotel. The pool was outdoors and needed some upkeep (the paint was chipping off, debris floating etc); the exercise room is tiny and right off the hotel lobby/check in area so that could be a little better placed. But the rest of the features make up for those items, I would definitely stay there again.”

• Conveniently located for all we wanted to do in the area. It had a hot/cold breakfast, though items ran out quickly; large rooms, great for 4.
• Dated looking, drab/dreary appearing inside.

“For what little time we spent in the hotel, it served our purpose. For the amount of money spent, the rooms were very large and the four of us could all spread out, which was great for our older sons, one of which was in a cast. Rooms were not the most appealing to the eye. Was nice to have the ability to cook and eat there if wished-large regular size kitchen appliances, not dorm size, which is a plus. Had a pool if you wanted to use. Exercise room quite small.”

• The location is great and the rooms are large and private (has an apartment type feel).
• Only king suites with pull out couch.

“Everything was good with two exceptions. 1. The room wasn't vacuumed. We moved the couch back a little to let out the bed and discovered cereal where we had moved it from. We left the couch there the next day so the maid could clean there but after maid service the next day, the cereal was still there in front of the couch. 2. The morning breakfast (eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, waffles and fruit) was excellent but there was only one person serving and preparing the food. He could not keep up with clean dishes, silverware, and food out for the guest. Everyone had to wait for waffle batter, forks, water etc.”

“Our family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children) stayed here comfortably. It was in a great location, close to lots of shopping and dining. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. There are many complimentary services here. The room was clean and everything in it was top-of-the-line. The beds are terrific! I was surprised there was no Jacuzzi tub! The housekeeping staff could not communicate well, just be patient with them and point to what you need. Beware of the extras on the television. Hotel did credit charges from a music channel that we did not realize, we would be charged for. We loved it here and look forward to returning! We will be staying in this same chain of hotels anywhere we go from now on!”

• Jacuzzi wasn't working.

“This hotel far exceeded our expectations. Me and my daughter were traveling for a mini-vacation. Our room had a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, real dishes, microwave, desk, comfortable bed, pull out couch and fireplace. We were really surprised. The room was very neat and clean. Staff was very friendly. Location was not hard to find, right across the entrance of the Galleria mall. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“This was a great experience for my son and I who were traveling to a swim meet. The free in room internet access was great. Their breakfast, not fancy, but very good.”

“The hotel was not hard to find barring the road construction and it was in a very nice suburban area. The rooms were spacious and very clean. It was convenient to where we needed to go. The pool was being cleaned but we were able to go to the Heights community center where the kids had a lot of fun in the pool playland that they had there. Very nice. The breakfast the next morning was the best fair that I have ever had at a hotel. Cereal, eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, fruit, bagels, etc. were available for all to enjoy.”

• The carpet was damp in our room.

“I like Residence Inn because it offers a fully furnished kitchen, free hot breakfast daily, they provide grocery shopping service and have regular evening get together for guest. Our room was clean, all public areas were clean. We had a flat tire while we were there and an employee went to the office and brought us a can of fix-a-flat and an air tank. The hotel did attempt to charge us 0.75 for a call to the front desk, but, when we disputed the charge it was immediately refunded. The carpet was damp in places. Overall it was a lovely time and well worth the money.”

“I was very impressed with this hotel and the staff. It was difficult to find so be sure to get good directions from the staff. It's hidden in the trees too, so when you turn right at the metro, don't let the trees throw you. The Galleria is hiding behind and in the trees.”

• The room configurations present a courtyard and at 3 a.m. we were awakened with loud voices talking in the courtyard area.

“We were very pleased with the hotel room. The location was great, the rooms spacious and the free hot breakfast offered included many good choices. Also, it was nice to have a free Sunday paper offered. We would definitely stay again at this hotel.”

• The doors opened to the outside, the walls and floors were very thin. Noisy.

“There was a party upstairs that lasted into the wee hours of the morning. The staff attended to the complaint when we called at 2:30 a.m. However, the noise carried very well. I don't think I would want to stay there again.”

• This hotel had the most service oriented staff I'd ever experienced.
• Location next to freeway (road noise) and road construction had detours and some road closures. Had to find new routes around.

“Excellent hotel and staff. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Had kitchen and desk area that I did not expect. Included hot breakfast every day and BBQ on Thursday night. Close to restaurants and shopping. Overall we enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it to anyone that doesn't need to be right in Downtown St. Louis.”

“The Galleria Residence Inn hotel was just what we needed after a long day's drive and a busy evening. The clean, comfortable room we were given surprised us by its roominess, kitchenette, couch and computer-friendly desks and complimentary access to the internet. The staff impressed us with their professional attitudes, but even more importantly, with their courtesy to each other. We'd love to stay there again.”

“This hotel is great. It's location to public transportation is great. They greeted me with smiles and helpful information even though I showed up pretty late in the evening. The next day they helped me plan my journey to Downtown. Great people.”

• Close to my destination.
• There were too many kids, ghetto actually, they stalked the free breakfast.

“It was clean, but too many ghetto people staying there, they completely hogged the buffet, stealing the free food, we had to wait 10 minutes for all to be replenished. Appliances were old and were out in the unit.”
