• Clean rooms and friendly staff.
• Ice machine is only on the first floor.

• The room was bigger than I had thought.
• The sheets were tucked in too tightly.

“Our stay would have been better, had our room keys been programmed the right way. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and at least twice a day we would have to go back to the lobby to have our keys re-programmed. Inconvenient when you have two small children with you. The breakfast was not replenished very often.”

• The other rooms were not sound proof & housekeeping steals.

“I was 100% satisfied but the hotel itself wasn't as great. We could hear the neighbors, there was no sound proofing of rooms. I believe a party was next door and constant running down the halls from teenage guests. Very loud. Also, I left my leather coat in the room by accident and when I called to come back and pick it up, it was gone and never turned in by housekeeping. I was told by the manager that the housekeeper wouldn't steal because she had worked there for 4 years. I felt like she believed I was lying about my coat. I was not happy at all with that response and I am out a coat. Would not recommend this hotel unless you are looking for a good place to party.”

• The staff were really helpful and friendly. They had Pantene shampoo and conditioner. VERY clean.

• The room didn't smell like smoke and the beds were comfortable!
• The shower area and the sink were in the same room.

“We always stay at the Fairfield because you can count on the things that matter. Like really comfy beds. Really CLEAN rooms and bathrooms. Longer hours for the pool and hot tub. GREAT complimentary breakfasts- WOW those malted Belgian waffles were fantastic! AARP discounts, and most importantly, the place smells CLEAN. As a severe allergy sufferer, I must know that when I check into a hotel, I will still be able to BREATHE by the next morning. The Fairfield at Gales burg DELIVERS. - and they have really sweet and helpful staff, too- and no, I don't work there, and I am not related to any of them! ”

“Very upset that I was placed in a smoking room due to the fact that they were sold out and had no non-smoking rooms left. Was told that non-smoking rooms would be available 3rd and 4th night of stay but they did not make an attempt to relocate me. I also called and confirmed request for non-smoking room 4 days prior to arrival. They tried telling me the room I was in was a converted smoking room. The room reeked of residual smoke and ashtrays still in room.”

• Parking access confusing and not well marked.

“Clean and adequately furnished rooms, with a friendly, helpful staff, made the is a very pleasant stay. The wireless computer access did not appear to work very well, connection was very slow dial up speed. Right across the street from a shopping mall, with plenty of restaurants close by. I highly recommend this hotel for just about any stay.”

• Very nice breakfast, lovely swimming pool and hot tub. Best thing of all was the very comfortable beds and pillows.
• Motel clerk a little rude, pool was to be open till midnight, at 11 pm. She told 3 kids stop swimming she didn't see me that was very rude.

“Other than the rude clerk, it is a very lovely hotel, very nice rooms, good beds. We will stay here again when we go thro this area.”

• The continental breakfast was nice...staff accomodating
• upon arrival I was in a smoking room and it took 2 days to be moved to a non smoking room. I had called the hotel ahead and asked for non smoking

• I really did not expect such a great hotel for being 2 stars. I would have rated it at least a 3 star. Excellent breakfast!
• I was so impressed with the quality. It was more than I expected and I honestly can't think of something I didn't like.

“We were highly surprised when we went to the hotel. It had the easiest checking in and out. Very clean rooms and lobby. It also has a nice size eat in area that is separated from the main lobby. It wasn't crowded and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend.”

• I love staying at this hotel. It is a nice clean Inn with a wonderful staff!

“I enjoy staying at this hotel. It has become my home away from home. I come and stay there often. My father died and my mother is in Seminary Manor. When I stay at this particular Fairfield Inn, I feel safe, welcomed and the rooms are always clean. The pool is great! The continental breakfast is very nice too. There is good coffee and a variety of healthful, satisfying foods.I like the cookies they have out at night. I love the lobby. My sister has come and we have sat and visited in the lobby on the comfortable sofa and are able to sit there as long as we like and drink coffee. (You can tell, I like coffee)Just makes me feel welcomed. I always try to stay there when I come to Galesburg.”

• No hair conditioner or lotion - only shampoo in bath - I honestly assumed all 3 were standard in all but budget hotels.

“I am very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The pool hours are great. Despite checking in rather late we could still swim and use the hot tub which was especially appreciated after a long drive. The personnel's were courteous and the breakfast was good. Will definitely recommend others to stay there. Thank you.”
