• Close to where I needed to be and the interstate.
• The sink being separate from the toilet and shower. No mini fridge.

“A very clean and quiet hotel we would recommend to others. We (kids, wife and I) liked the continental breakfast. Overall, an excellent experience at this hotel and would stay at again.”

• Staff was understanding and efficient.
• Air conditioning was very aggressive; easily remedied by turning it down and opening the window.

• Very quiet and very clean. It exceeded my expectations actually.
• Almost all of the employees smoked outside the front entrance.

“The people who worked there were friendly although seemed overworked at times (from desk). They did a nice job of doing up my room everyday and the halls and outside were always kept nice and clean. A/C worked well. Breakfast each morning was pretty good and there was always fresh fruit. The main thing was that it was always quiet and fortunately there were no rowdy guests during the week I was there. I actually began to feel quite safe and at home there. I didn't know that a Comfort Inn could be this good.”

• Cleaning staff was slow and seemed unorganized.

“Hotel was better than I had expected. Our room was spotless when we arrived. Everything was clean and crisp. My only complaint was that the cleaning staff seemed unorganized and slow. Our room was never ready at the same time every day. There were 2 occasions where we arrived mid-cleaning. There were 2 days that we only had fresh towels and sheets. When the room was cleaned promptly however, it was spotless. The breakfast wasn't any less than we had expected. The eating area was smaller than it should have been. There were only 4 or 5 little tables.”

• Very unhelpful manager.

“Worst hotel experience in 30yr.they gave us smoking instead of none, when I asked for a refund was told since we prepaid "we don¿t have to". Is this place run by 10yr.olds? Room stunk, thin walls, cable was out (nana tourney), no radio, towels smelled like an ashtray, terrible pillows. Wish I had more room for this review.”

• The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great.
• I waited at the front desk to get extra towels no one ever came to help me even after I rang the bell.

“When I did see the staff they were very helpful. The breakfast is in no way deluxe. The lobby and breakfast area are the bare basics.”

• Near stores and restaurants.
• Bugs!

“There were "water bugs" all over the bathroom and hall sink, in the toilet, on the clean towels, etc. When we talked to the staff they said that they had tried to fumigate but it was "normal" to have bugs near water.”

• The hotel was centrally located.
• The room was a bit tiny and cramped.

“Overall, the Comfort Inn Galesburg was clean and well run. The room had a slight humid and closed up smell but outside of that everything was in order. The continental breakfast was good and was available past 9 a.m. for us late risers. Don't bother packing the swimsuit if staying here because the hotel does not offer a pool.”
