“Fine hotel for business traveler, however I do not feel it was a 2.5 star rating as it did not offer any extra amenities, in addition there was no restaurant or bar adjacent to or within the hotel.”

• The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels.
• I didnt get free breakfast.

“The hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was above average, and seemed included in most people's rooms. I thought it was a little pricey, but nice to get free refills on juice. Check-in and check-out was quick and convenient. The only problem came in the fact that we went to the wrong Courtyard Mariott first, because there are 2 of them within a couple blocks of each other and it seems to happen so much that the wrong hotel had pre-printed scraps of paper on how to get from one hotel to the other.”

• The appearance was bright, colorful, cheery and very clean.
• The mattress was too soft.

• The rooms where very large and roomy and the staff was very friendly.
• No continental breakfast.

“Very large and spacious rooms including bathroom that you can actually move in. The large rooms where great since we had small children, they actually had a place to play other than on the beds. My family highly recommends this hotel and we will definitely stay here again.”

“The Marriott Courtyard located conveniently off highway 270, minutes away from St. Louis Galleria and West County Mall. This hotel offers the most comfortably mattresses even better than home. Very quiet and staff very accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.”

• The interior design of the rooms and the clean bed sets provided.

“I found this hotel very comfortable to stay in. The room was clean and stylishly designed. The bed sets where clean. I would rate it as a 2 star hotel very comfy if you are not looking for extravagant features.”

• The hotel was clean and attractive; our accommodations were excellent.
• Because the hotel is in a business location, it was quiet but not near restaurants. We looked a long while for a place to eat.

“We enjoyed staying at the Courtyard Marriott in St. Louis and would stay there again. We do wish that restaurants were closer, so that we would not have to get in the car and drive long distances (after a long day's drive already) to find a place to eat.”

• Hotel had a great fitness room. They also furnished us with a refrigerator.
• They are off the beaten path. There needs to be more signs directing people to this hotel.

“This hotel was very clean and quiet. They offered us the use of an in-room refrigerator when asked. The pool and hot tub was clean. The only negative point about this hotel is lack of signs on the street. There should be more signs pointing the way to this hotel from the street.”

“I've stayed at several Marriott properties over the years. This time, was somewhat disappointing. I interacted with the staff 3 times, and each time, they were less than friendly, definitely not Marriott standards. I called a few days ahead of my scheduled stay to request two beds. The person I spoke with said that was not a problem. When we arrived, there was one bed and a sleeper sofa, which I do not consider a real bed. The hotel was full for the night, so we had to make due. I would have appreciated being told about the sleeper sofa when I called in advance. The only good thing is that the room was very clean.”

• It was in a good spot between the airport and many activities.
• One night of the stay there were loud people.

“Hotel is in a pretty good spot down the street from the Westport plaza. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was good. There were some unruly folks across the hall from us one night, but otherwise the hotel was pretty good.”

• The staff was very helpful and polite.
• When we arrived one of the beds in our room had not been made. We were then moved to a different room.

“We were very pleased with this hotel for the price. The hotel was easy to find and the staff were very friendly. When we checked in we discovered that housekeeping had neglected to make one of the beds in our room it was completely stripped down to the mattress pad. The staff immediately got us moved to a different room and was very pleasant. This hotel was nicer than the other hotels we have stayed at in the same star category. The restaurant had good food, but was pricey for what we got. There was no free breakfast, only an expensive buffet.”

• Everything was top-notch. Very luxurious!
• A few (not all) of the staff members were unfriendly. The housekeepers were trying to push us out all morning before our noon checkout.

“The hotel was beautiful and very comfortable! We could not even have gotten a 1-star hotel for the price that we paid! It was awesome!”

• How quiet the courtyard was. Noise from pool enclosed.
• Absolutely nothing.

“I loved the courtyard and how quiet it was. I like the fact that the swimming pool was enclosed and that kept the noise down in the courtyard. I did have a concern another some noisy neighbors, but the staff responded and took care of it. I was most impressed that they acted on that. Besides the cleanliness, the courtyard side room and the peacefulness and quiet (of the courtyard) made my stay. Very, very enjoyable. I will be a regular.”

• Very comfortable room and helpful staff.
• We were place in a room without a bathtub, only a shower. Difficult situation with children.

“The room was quite comfortable. However, we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the bathroom. The shower curtain needed a good disinfecting. There was no tub in the bathroom, which was a problem, but the hotel was booked full. We weren't able to change rooms. We have booked rooms there before and some stays are better than others. We will most likely stay there again.”

• I thought "courtyard room" meant just that. We were in a room facing the highway with no real access to the courtyard. You must request this amenity.

“Except got the room having no access to the courtyard, (thus must be requested) we were treated very well. I would recommend the friendly staff. The hotel is a little hard to find, in a business park. Best for business travelers.”

• The staff was superb! Breakfast was great, and our overall experience was excellent.

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to St. Louis. It was conveniently located to the arch, zoo, and six flags. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and accommodated all of our needs without hesitation.”

• They had a lot of extras like portable cribs, and roll-a-way beds for comfort.
• The chair was a little too large to maneuver around the room, other than that, it was excellent.

“We came to this hotel because it was within 15 minutes of all the attractions we wanted to see in ST. Louis. It was easy to navigate, employees were friendly and everything was extremely clean. It felt like a brand new hotel.”

• This hotel was very clean and very new. The restaurant food was very good and the staff was very friendly.
• The room did not have a small refrigerator or microwave. Also, the front desk staff was not very friendly.

• Nice hotel. Clean, well decorated and comfortable bed and pillows.
• There were no close restaurants. Did not know area, had to order dinner for delivery.

“Overall, very pleased with hotel and my stay. I felt very comfortable there and would stay again and again. Locale was a minus as it appeared to be in a more industrial/commercial area. I did not know the area and the only information in the rooms regarding restaurants was delivery service only. If I hadn't been so tired (and it had not been raining), I could have ventured out to find something.”

• Our room was very comfortable - we liked being able to control the thermostat on the wall.
• The pool tiles were very slippery. Both my boys, even though walking, slipped several times.

“The pool was a disappointment. We choose this hotel because it had an indoor swimming pool, yet the pool was very cold. My kids still went swimming, but any adult who came down to the pool area, prepared to go swimming, did not get into the pool.”

• Quiet, clean, spacious rooms with excellent room service.
• Performing maintenance on elevator and Jacuzzi was not working well.

“Not in a good location in relation to the interstate I-270. Good rates for the weekend. No free breakfast. No HBO movie guide. Great TV quality and screen size. Restaurants in the area were either too crowded or too far from hotel. The hotel was not crowded and less busy than expected.”

• TV is typical 19/20 inched.

“The room was decorated nicely and very functional. The highlight was the bed itself, exceptionally comfortable. Perhaps the best I¿ve ever slept in. Staff was helpful, if not a bit chatty. Real coffee & real mugs. No paper or plastic! Small TV. Bathroom spotless. Nice desk/table that nested out of the way. Exceptional for business travelers. Didn't get a chance to use pool.”

• The room was spacious and well-appointed with king bed, sofa and desk. Liked free coffee in the lobby!
• Buffet breakfast was over-priced with no cheaper alternatives for continental breakfast or similar.

“The Marriott courtyard at Westport is an immaculately maintained hotel very well suited to business and leisure travelers. It is conveniently located right off loop 270, affording easy access to the central midtown area, west st. Louis and the airport. Without a special request, I was given a large room with a king-size bed, nice sofa and built-in desk. The entire hotel is blessedly non-smoking! Only negatives included over-priced breakfast buffet with no alternative for continental breakfast and expensive local calls at $0.75 each.”

• We enjoyed the pool and hot tub the most for a weekend get-away.
• Only breakfast was available, not lunch or dinner.

“My son and I actually live in St. Louis, but wanted to get away for the weekend to swim. He has never been to a hotel before, and I'm so glad we picked this one. The room was immaculate; the pool and hot tub area was clean, with fresh towels at all times. It was very quiet, and the staff was very friendly to us. We can't wait to go back.”

• Clean, Convenient, Cordial, Quiet, nice pool/sauna and workout room.
• Continental breakfast is not free, but at least the signage indicating cost was prominently displayed.

“This hotel is a "best kept secret". We toyed with staying downtown, but chose this area instead and ended up delighted our decision.”

“Everything was great. Especially the 100% smoke free environment. Our 2 yr Grandchild slept on the hide-a-bed. She loved it. We hear we were lucky to find a room with the Word Series in town. ”

• Very clean and a small, but very nice indoor pool. Quiet area, easy to get in and out of. Staff was great.
• The elevator was a little shaky and noisy. The kids thought that made it more fun.

“We very much enjoyed our stay. Booked two rooms for us and four little girls. The staff was great, gave us detailed directions when needed, and were very friendly and eager to help. The indoor pool was great for kids and I enjoyed the whirlpool. The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise.”

• Do not allow more than 5 people in a room -- our group rented 3 rooms and consisted of 7 people which was over the hotel limit.
