• Minimal space to put hygiene products.

“When we arrived the smell in the room was very unpleasant. It smelled like someone had just used the bathroom facilities. We had to use a room deodorizer. We left and returned to a much better smell. Which confirmed to us that someone had just used the bathroom. There is no mistaking the foul odor.”

“We were stuck in a smoking room. We were not allowed to move to a nonsmoking room. The hotel staff came into the room with a sprayer. The pool was small and uninviting. The lobby was nice. Ice machine not nearby. Due to our expectations the Hilton was a disappointment.”

• The hotel was clean and aesthetically pleasing.
• The pool area closes at 11, but this was not posted. We wanted a few quite minutes in the spa and hotel personnel ran us out.

• It was clean and very nice staff.
• It was very hard to get to even with a gaps because the streets are not marked correctly.

• Not the most convenient location.

“This hotel has good sized rooms with free internet, fridge and microwave. Quiet AC with digital wall controls. Very comfortable mattress and covers. Quick and friendly check in. Warm indoor pool (kind of small, though). This isn't a very convenient location, but don't stay in Chesterfield if you want convenient.”

“The hotel is a little out of the way but the directions given to us were excellent. Many stores/restaurants in close proximity for anything you might want. The room and the restaurant/front/lobby area were very appealing.”

“This is a nice stop for a business traveler who has business in west county St. Louis. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby the hotel and it's in a quiet spot. They have a restaurant in the hotel if you don't want to venture outside. The rooms are average, but clean, roomy and the price was right.”

• The front desk AM Associate.
• The PM Desk Associate. She was very rude.

“Overall the hotel was great. The room was a little small for my liking. The doors to the bathroom and the closet could not be open at the same time and the front door could open at the same time as well. They were all grouped together and it made it hard to do things.”

“The Hilton garden inn is a beautiful motel, set in a wonderful location! The staff is friendly! The breakfast buffet is delicious and very reasonably priced! The geese located in the pond/lake near the entrance are beautiful! I would definitely stay here again!”

• I liked the cleanliness and the free wireless internet.
• The bed was very firm.

“We stayed here for several days during a power outage in St. Louis. It was wonderful to have a fridge and microwave in the room. With the free internet access, coffee maker, and plenty of TV channels, it was almost as good as home. And very warm too!”

• The location was good, building was appealing, and the service was helpful.
• The hotel room smelled heavily of smoke and the carpets could have been cleaned.

“Overall the hotel has nice furniture, pool and facilities, but it appears that there is a lack of attention to the floors and smoking. I felt it was a nice place with a bit of grime to it, like a fresh baked bagel with a bit of dirt on the outside.”

• I liked the refrigerator and microwave oven and the room service was pretty good.
• Difficult to find the first time. Pool seemed a little dirty, although they were having the pool worked on the next week, maybe to fix the problem.

“I liked the room a lot, it was a pretty space and it was well worth the price we paid. Plus my husband and I were able to run for a couple miles around the hotel area and have breakfast at a Panera close by. The area felt very safe.”

“I hope to be able stay at this hotel again. It was very convenient for my needs my pillows were a little hard. I didn't know they had a swimming pool. Maybe I should bake some cookies for the hotel staff to show my gratitude for their service. ”

• It seemed below average for the Hilton brand.

“The hotel was adequate for the price but not nearly as nice as the Doubletree/Chesterfield, which I stayed previously for nearly the same price or the Marriott brands just south. It would benefit a hotel of this caliber to at least serve a complimentary continental breakfast.”

“Unprofessional front desk person, rude, attitude. noisy guest's, that they did nothing to quiet down. I almost called the local police. I'm extremely tolerant when it comes to children, but not at 11:30 at night when they are running through the halls banging on doors. Kid stuff, okay not your fault, I know, but you are the company pursuing the rooms at this establishment.”

• Room was adjacent to elevators, that were particularly noisy. 1 of 2 elevators was frequently inoperative.

• HVAC unit in room was non functional.

“Overall the staff of the hotel made an unknowable stay enjoyable. I had a problem with the HVAC that even when I requested it be addressed by engineering it was not. The next morning I spoke to the staff at the front desk and they were extremely accommodating and helpful. I will go back because of them.”

• The hotel is fairly new, so everything was clean and nice.
• The hotel does not have a complementary breakfast, which I think is always nice to find in a hotel. They have breakfast, but you must purchase it.

“The hotel has just recently been built, so everything is new and clean. It is furnished very nice, and there are shops and stores right beside it, which made it very nice.”
