• Friendly staff.
• Difficult to get to from main thoroughfare.

• Private, awesome pool, good company, clean, friendly staff.
• Location and a bit pricey.

“Relaxing outdoor pool with attached bar with Bone fire pit calls for good company and good times. Rooms are private, there is plenty of parking and room for travelers with trailers on their vehicles. A bit pricey for its size, style, but friendly staff and clean rooms make up for it. Also most likely cheapest hotel in the town of Dubuque.”

“Older hotel, but rooms were clean. Good breakfast. Great patio/deck with ceramic tile tables with firepots in the middle, nice lounge for cocktails- all right next to the pool area! Our family had a nice time.”

• The people and the hotel bar/restaurant were nice.
• The bathroom was pretty gross, especially the ceiling.

“The hotel overall was pretty nice. The driveway is a steep hill, so in winter one can be very scary with the snow and ice. The staff were very helpful and kind. The room was ok, the bathroom was pretty bad though. The ceiling was about 6'4 and my head nearly scraped it. Also it the ceiling tiles had water marks and needed to be replaced. Overall it was ok for what we paid.”

• Decent continental breakfast with waffles, juice, and milk.
• Stain on sheets, and ashes in bathroom (no smoking room?).

“I'm not very particular, but my wife will not return there again. We have stayed there in the past, but it has gone downhill. Very warm sat. In cot. And the a/c wasn't working 'til during the night. Staff told us they had switched to heat during the week, and couldn't switch back quickly.”

“I requested a non smoking room, and I did not receive what I requested. I stayed at the hotel five minutes, and left immediately as we had infant children traveling with us.”

• Belgian waffles! Continental breakfast is always great. 2 computers with internet in lobby.

• Wifi in office area only, Cell phone did not work well here.

“Went to this motel as a group of five rooms. They divided the group throughout the motel. Internet access was only available in the lobby area. Very inconvenient.”

• It was close to a couple of major highways.
• Old, damp smelling, dirty, in poor repair.

“This was out and out the worst chain-hotel I have ever stayed at. I guarantee there are independents out there that are worse but I expect better of Days Inn and trusted the guarantee of quality. I am not fussy, I travel for work but this place was disgusting and looked like it should have been condemned about a decade ago. It was dirty, the ceiling was covered in dust from the AC vent, wallpaper had unstuck itself from the corners of the room and there were stains on the carpeting. I just could not relax and will never return.”

• It was in Dubuque.
• The rooms are run down and need to be redone badly.

“This hotel needs refrigerated candy machines (my candy was all melted and I could not eat it). The rooms in this hotel need allot of work, the beds are worn out, the drapes stink, the bath rooms have water marks all over the walls, the lights at the sink and in the bathroom are to dim, Carpet was horrible, and if they are going to charge you like a brand new hotel then I expect things to look like they are new.”

• We enjoyed the breakfast.
• The key card reader on the door was broken. We were locked out after breakfast.

“The hotel was great, especially the breakfast, although it was a little noisy at night. However, we were very frustrated that we were locked out for so long, and on top of that we didn't even get an apology! I will say though that someone was called right away to fix the problem. My husband asked for a 10% discount, which we were given.”

• it was quiet - there were very few people staying there
• Inadequacy of internet access & lack of knowledge

“For the price I got the room at - the stay was reasonable. I wouldn't have paid any more for it. There was supposed to be free dial up internet in the room - no local numbers were available. There was supposed to be wireless internet access in the lobby - it was substandard and would not hold a connection. There was supposed to be internet access available on the computer in the lobby - that internet access was substandard - the computer was locked up and wouldn't access anything. The most important feature to me was the nightly rate and the second most important feature was the internet access. I was very pleased with the first and very displeased with the second. If a refund of the rate had been easily attainable, I would have changed motels the first night. For those persons not needing internet, the rooms were fine and the bed comfortable. The staff was courteous.”

• The bed was old and sagged in the middle.

“This hotel was old but was kept in very clean and in good condition. The beds do need to be replaced, very saggy, we kept rolling to the middle.”

“Nice clean large room, great continental breakfast with make-them-yourself waffles, the breakfast room has large windows that look out at the pool area. It's a charming Days Inn.”
