• I was happy it lasted only 2 days.
• They left an old dried up fruit on the floor where I found it.

• Quiet area. Staff was pleasant.
• Hot breakfast wasn't that great at all. Bed totally uncomfortable. Room was tiny and bathtub was dirty.

“We do not plan to stay here again. We knew for the price that it wasn't going to be resort quality. We were not planning to do anything except sleep there but, even with our low expectations, it was more uncomfortable than we could imagine.”

“The appearance of the room was not inviting at all but surprisingly the comfort and cleanliness was ok and the continental breakfast was good because it had waffles. Needs sugarless syrup though.”

• Nothing I didn't even stay there I had to go rent another room.
• I wouldn't let my dog sleep in these rooms they were musty, didn't stay there had to stay at a different hotel.

• It offered internet service.
• Filthy dirty! Not advised of extra charge for internet, stains everywhere!

“This, by far was the worst place I've ever stayed. I say stayed, but the fact is that it was disgustingly dirty and stained everywhere, I was forced to stay elsewhere. I was in the room for a total of about 15 minutes before coming to the conclusion that I could not stay there. I never even sat down on anything! Never again!”

• The was centrally located & easy to get to.
• Housekeeping brought fresh towels but didn't pick up soiled ones. Beds haphazardly made.

“The location was great and a nice breakfast was provided. However, the housekeeping practices need improvement.”

• Dirty looking, hard to turn on the water, had to ask for assistance and assistant yelled at us.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, the staff was unfriendly, and when we asked to be moved to a different room or shown how to work the water, the lady yelled at us. The manager apologized and showed us how to use the water, I guess you have to pull really hard. We ended up not staying because of all the conditions of the hotel. Vending area was dirty and gross. Ice machine looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Just not a good experience at all.”

• The location was easy to find. We had a 1st floor room.
• Thin sheets and old thin towels, cramped room, out at 11:00.

“The hotel has an easy to find location. The room was very small and definitely not a 2 star hotel. The door did not lock automatically when I left so others could have walked in on the street level! Towels were thin and old and sparse. Sheets also were old and thin. At 11:20, hotel staff came and said we were late and should have left by 11:00.”

• The green wad of gum stuck to the top of the beds headboard.

“Except for the bright green wad of gum stuck to the top of the beds head board everything was acceptable. The cost was reasonable and the facility was easy to find.”

• Poor construction, tiny, cold, noisy.

“We were very disappointed with this hotel. The floor was uneven and had a very soft spot in it that was covered with carpet, it was poorly constructed, the heater didn't work well, there was some mildew in the shower area, and when the walls were re-painted they weren't prepared properly so looked very sloppy. It was located close to a major highway and with the poor construction made it very noisy. The bed was not comfortable and the room extremely small for two full size beds. The furnishings were old but the TV worked well.”

• Water pressure in shower good.
• Everything else.

“I have gotten this hotel 3 times now. There is hair all over the sink that is much too long to have come from my body anywhere. The bed sheets rest on top of the bed, they don't even wrap around the mattress so by morning I was sleeping on strait mattress. The stains made me throw up in my mouth a little. I have complained about this through the email channel you requested. It said someone would get back to me within three hours. It has been three weeks and nothing.”

• The clerk that checked us in was very friendly.

• Staff member very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed her company during breakfast.
• 1st room carpet wet and smelled bad. 2nd room ok. Both very small. No frills at all.

“Expected hotel. Turned out to be a Motel with very small rooms. Good thing we're a close family. Parked right outside the room which was convenient. Registered with 4 people and had to ask for additional towels, shampoo, soap, etc. Could hear neighbors on both sides -thin walls. Good continental breakfast - waffles, cereal, donuts, bagels and juice every morning. Nothing fancy but good for people on budget.”

• I got two words for you "dirty sheet".

“Let's see, beds were made with dirty used sheets, when I called the front desk for someone to bring new ones and make the bed, their reply was that the maids were gone. So I asked for them to bring the sheets anyway and I would make the beds. The sink only ran scalding hot water that was nice to brush your teeth with. The ice machine was broke so they had a smaller older one beside it that was extremely dirty and no scoop. Beds were enough to send you straight to the chiropractor. It was terrible.”

“This was the dirtiest motel that I have ever been in. This old motel should be torn down. We seen bugs, and was bitten at night while we slept. My sister in the room next door had the same thing. Very unhappy and it ruined our trip. Very unhappy.”

“This hotel is centrally located, but it is very old and run-down. The rooms are very tiny and the bathrooms are even worse. I've paid less to stay in a better hotel than this one.”

• This hotel has a great location and easy access. New, good in-room heat/AC units.
• Dirty showers & carpets. Thin towels. Tiny rooms, Frayed box springs. Mold in coffee maker. Old metal doors & faulty locks.

“This motel is the worst of my many experiences in many states over many years. The owner is trying to update the facility through piece meal remodeling and not succeeding well in quality workmanship, regular maintenance or daily housekeeping.”

• Close to the mall.
• Traffic noise. Very old, crack between door and wall 3/16 inch. Cold air blowing in. parking lot and sidewalks not shoveled.

“Very low quality. Lots of abandoned snowed in cars in parking lot and one was directly in front of our door. Room heater was falling off wall. Towels very scratchy and poor quality. Our friends door would not open at 3 am and had to make multiple trips to front desk for help. Beds were the worse I have ever seen. Pillows were lumpy and had a funny smell. (Like old Mexican food) no hairdryer in room. Coffee pot didn't work; the coffee wouldn't flow from upper part to pot. A lot of traffic noise. Very small TV. Carpet looked dirty. My husband wanted to find a different hotel, but it was 3 am and we decided to try it. Wish we would have looked elsewhere. The worst hotel I have every stayed at.”

• It was a dump. Burn holes in sheets & comforter.

“It was trashed, dirty, hole on sheet rock. Stained carpet, paper thin walls. I was supposed to be in a level 2 room. This one worse than an evil one. I did not feel safe. I was expecting a Holiday Inn or Hampton, but got garbage. Very unhappy.”

• The English speaking front desk clerk.
• Everything but the English speaking lady.

“This hotel was awful. The wall had a huge crack in it that I was scared a cockroach was going to climb out of. When we first pulled up to the hotel we thought it looked like something you would see in a scary movie. I was afraid to use the hotel sheets because the toilet didn't even look like it had been clean. I most certainly would not have wanted a black like to check out the sheets. The Lord only knows what could have been on the sheets. We had to walk a long ways to eat breakfast, and it was freezing. The best part of our stay was the very nice English speaking women that was at the front desk.”

• Only enjoyed the company of Hotel receptionist, who was very friendly, kind and polite.
• Rooms looked dirty; bathroom looked like a porta potty with drywall. The bedspread had sticky stuff on it, which I sat on!

“I'd rather pay extra and stay somewhere nicer! Do they ever wash the bedspreads? The room looks dingy, like an old Motel where hookers belong!”

• They could not accommodate us - no double beds?

“We had been on the go all day and arrive to the hotel around 11 p.m. He said the only thing available was 1 king size bed. We had 4 people! I slept in a chair with my feet on a desk. We asked for extra towels (there were 2) and pillows (there were 2). They told us they were out. It was an experience my family will never forget. For the worst!”

“The hotel was in a good location, though it is just a 1-star hotel. The bed and pillow were very spongy, it seemed like the springs were going to poke through. It also looked like the room needed a deep cleaning ... This is definitely a budget hotel!”

• Only plus was the lady at the front desk was extremely friendly.
• Didn't like the fact that we parked right outside our room (it was a Motel, not a Hotel). Didn't feel 100% safe. Continental breakfast was sketchy.

“Hotel staff very friendly. No problems w/ the reservation. It's a motel, not a hotel, and 1-star instead of 2-star. Parking in front of the door to our room was not very appealing and didn't make me feel safe. It was right off the highway going into Dubuque which is convenient, but noisy at night w/ traffic.”

• The staff was very friendly and more than accommodated our needs.
• The stairs to the only ice machine in the hotel were made of buckled cement. Ice machine also needed maintenance.

“This hotel was a nice place to stay we were there for five days and it was comfortable. We'll stay there again when we are in Dubuque.”

• Thin walls, poor customer service by mgmt.

“The people in the room directly above ours had a very loud argument for about 3 straight hours. We called the front desk 3 times to complain. The third time we asked the hotel to call the police because it sounded like the woman upstairs was thrown into the wall. The police came and the people upstairs quieted down. It is not the hotel's fault that the people were fighting.”
