• The bed was comfortable.
• Room coffee was nasty, kleenex box in bathroom was smudgy.

“We like staying at casino hotels but they cost to much so we go to priceline for good rates. This was way to far from casinos.”

• The mattress/pillows were very comfortable and the room was very clean.
• Location and appearance.

“The outside is uninviting. plain, simple. But, the room was extremely clean, the bed was very comfortable and the linens/towels smelled fresh. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise.”

• Night clerk informed me my room was smoking and switched it for me before I had to complain.
• Shower, towels.

“With the exception of a slightly more comfortable bed, this hotel was every bit a one star hotel on par with a Super 8.”

• The water in the pool was warm.
• The room had 1 bed for the 3 of us, my 9 year old slept on the floor for 2 nights. The hotel wanted 10$ /night for a roll away.

“We were put in a smoking room when we were supposed to get none. The room was stinky. We were supposed to get 2 beds & did not. The hotel wanted 10$ a night for a roll away. I would not go back there again.”

• I was amazed at the cleanliness and updated rooms.
• The bed was a little uncomfortable.

• Nothing.
• Staff were not friendly. I called ahead and asked for double beds, refused to do it. Upon arrival, asked again refused. Staff was rude.

“Dirty, rude staff I wished I paid a little extra and stayed at the Motel 6. At least their staff are friendly and accommodating. Does anyone read these things?”

• Side entrance door did not work well, made lots of noise.

“The location is good but some things need to be addressed. Side entrance door slams closed and our room was next to the door. We heard the slamming all night long. Staff did not relocate us to a different room after we requested to be moved right after we checked in. We did not sleep except for maybe 2 hours.”

• The pool and Jacuzzi were nice and breakfast was great!
• There was nothing I didn't like.

“The hotel was nice and clean and pretty convenient to find. The staff was friendly and it was a good buy for the $. Galena stays were $200+. We got fantastic value for our money. The waffles were our favorite. My son loved the pool. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. I couldn't ask for more with our brief stay.”

• Bare bones, very small bathroom.

“Compared to other hotels in Dubuque, this is no way rated 2 star. We've stayed at 2 star several times in the past and this hotel does not come close.”

• Liked their waffles, 2 double beds on night.
• Got us a smoking room, which made us sick & our clothe stunk.

“This is a fine hotel. Once you get the room your locked in & there were no non-smoking rooms . Every item of clothes that we had in the room picked up the smell & my wife got sick from it. A smoker wanted a room when we got there & left when he couldn't get one. We checked & found out ours was a smoking room, which we didn't want. Please give us a choice!!!!”

• Did some faxing for me no hesitation.
• Wood floor construction allowed the heavy footed bozo upstairs to disturb my sleep.

• It was very convenient for us and the staff was helpful.
• Would have liked to be on the second floor. Couldn't open windows or drapes since it was right next to parking lot.

“When we arrived, the A/C was turned on so high that it was freezing in the room. It took half of the day to get it to normal. The breakfast was very good and the services were very good.”

• The Hot Tub was nice.
• The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the breakfast was pathetic.

“This hotel was poorly staffed and was not a joy to stay in. It was not a comfortable night sleep and the continental breakfast left a great deal to be desired. I would not stay at this particular hotel again.”
