• Nothing at all.
• Loitering, drinking in front lobby.

“The front entrance was very dirty. Trash can at entrance was not emptied for two days with beer cans falling out of the top. People loitering and drinking in front of entrance. Had to walk around people sitting and drinking,to enter the hotel.”

• Too expensive, lock doors at 11pm.

“I arrived at the hotel at 11:01 pm due to car problems. Because I had called ahead, they were expecting me and had my room and key ready. I was told that the lobby and doors are closed/locked from 11 pm to 5 am. I think that is ridiculous. Had I not called ahead, I'd have been locked out.”

• Staff was very friendly and is located near a nice mall.
• Uncomfortable bed.

“This is an ok hotel with kitchen area. It also has a laundry room. The bed was uncomfortable but the location was near a beautiful new mall with tons of good shopping and restaurants. Its good if your trying to travel on the cheap, otherwise look elsewhere.”

• The location was great, the staff was accommodating, room was clean.
• Smelled a little stale but this is because it is Extended Stay and cooking is permitted. Could smell smoking, do not smoke so that bothered me.

“I was pleasantly surprised! I had a clean room, decent hotel bed, good AC and basic amenities. Well light, good location seemed safe, restaurants were close, no road noise. Hotels are expensive in Baton Rouge. Plus the evening staff was friendly and accommodating. Upgraded to a king. I expected the worst based on past experiences with Extended stays, not a big fan of Extended stays. They can be rough because of the lived in accommodations but we were not hanging out there just spending the night while dropping off college student. Would stay again.”

• It was cheap.
• No hair dryer, dirty floors.

“O.K. for a group of teenagers on a field trip, but given the comparable properties in that area, the Ext Stay was the worst on the block.”

• Location was ok.
• Dirty, AC broke, no overnight staff or front desk.

“The room was dirty, there was no overnight desk person to attend to us when the AC went out or when the internet did not work, extended stay. Never again.”

• Rooms were fairly large.
• No daily maid service, poor quality furnishings, noisy AC, few amenities, tiny TV, hidden charges.

“The Extended Stay Baton Rouge has no daily maid service, none of the normal hotel amenities (other than two small bars of soap and a coffee pot), furnishings of the quality you'd expect in and old college dorm (for example, particle board furniture and the smallest hotel TV set I've seen). The large, standalone AC unit was noisy, starting and stopping constantly all night. This hotel was not a good value for the price.”

• Good location. Kitchenette.
• No rooms with 2 double beds were available.

“This hotel would be excellent for someone staying several nights or someone with children. My room had only one king size bed which meant that me and my 2 sisters had to sleep together. Overall, the room was clean and in a good location.”

• This hotel was wonderful for its quiet, comfortable suite. I enjoyed the home-like atmosphere for relaxation.

“I enjoyed this hotel very much. I would stay here again if I have to be in a city more than 3 nights. I truly enjoyed the quiet atmosphere for working and relaxing. I had all the things that I needed to conduct business on-line and cooking a home-cooked meal. Thank you!”

• It had a mini kitchen.
• No 24 hour staff. Fire alarm went off at 1:50 AM and the Fire department did not respond. Not a 2 star. The rooms and beds were very dated.

“Once we stayed in a 2 and half star. Excellent hotel. Yet the Extended Stay was a 2 star. It was poorly rated. The beds and pillows were very old. Again, the entire hotel was evacuated at 1:50 AM, yet the Fire department did not respond, nor did the hotel staff offer any information.”

• Wireless access doesn't work.

“The hotel was what I expected for the money, however the bed was fairly uncomfortable, the remote for the TV didn't work, and the wireless was not accessible from the room.”

• The air conditioner worked great.
• The television remote control did not work.

“Most hotels limit the cooling capacity of the room air conditioner. This one did not have a limit. I could keep the room as cool as I liked.”

• The convenience of having the kitchen amenities in the room.
• No pool, indoor or outdoor.

“This was a very nice hotel for our family. We have 2 children, one older and one younger and they both enjoyed the stay. We liked having the elevator to get to the room rather than using stairs. Very friendly and inviting, would/will stay again.”

• Dirty and smoke filled hallways and CSR tried to fill me in smoking room.

“Smoke filled rooms from smoking rooms. Although convenient, the experienced was ruled by smoke in room, smoke alarm going off, the room service was eliminated because my stay was not extended stay.”

• Location.
• It smelled, had a stale odor!

“Could have been cleaner. The person that checked me in stressed what services they did not provide, such as clean towels, clean sheets, room service, shampoo. I felt like Motel 6 was more inviting. I would not stay there again.”

• Very friendly staff that speak
  clear English!
• Felt like we were in a bad neighborhood the way they barricaded front desk at night!

“It has a very convenient location with several nearby restaurants, shopping venues, and next door to a movie theater. was not sure how safe the area was though because at 11:00 pm, the staff all left and barricaded the front desk in the lobby with metal bars and plexi glass! Overall, we had a decent experience and I would stay there again, just probably wouldn't go out too much after dark!”

• Staff was very friendly and helpful. Kitchen area was very useful. The suite felt like an apartment away from home.

“Customer service is great. All of my needs were met. It was clean and quiet which is wonderful for someone who travels on business as much as myself. The cost was great too!”

• I like that the room has a full size refrigerator, and microwave.
• The room was small, and it only had one TV.

“The hotel was OK. The hallways were very dirty when we arrive. The room only had a chair to sit in,and it was broken; the bed was also very uncomfortable.”

• Very convenient, close to lots of shops and restaurants.
• No free wireless access, no toaster oven.

“This location is clean and secure. The staff is friendly and offers excellent customer service. The room was very clean and smelled great. Truly smoke free. Security feature were a plus. Great stay.”

• Extremely clean hotel in a good safe area. Excellent choice for business travel.
• Good for business or overnight accommodations. No pool, so probably not a family choice.

“Excellent for overnight accommodations or extended stay with full kitchen facilities. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very neat and clean. Check-in and check-out were well organized. Only drawback was there was no swimming pool.”

• A full kitchenette is always nice even if not used!
• The first non-smoking room smelled like smoke.

“Although the first non-smoking room smelled stale, when we approached the front desk clerk she quickly assigned up to a new nonsmoking room which was fresh and clean. The kitchenette and spacious bathroom were nice. The room was clean and roomy.”

“It looks fairly new, but the finish & decor was very cheap, the carpets were filthy, no morning breakfast of any type, no shampoo or hair dryer.”
