“I was very pleased with this hotel. Rooms were very spacious and clean.” Jul 12, 2009 by
Sandra Gottschalk from M,FL
“We arrived at the hotel late with a small child. The front desk had a great smile and told me of any thing she thought might be of interest to me and my son. Great beds! I would recommend this place to any one.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 23, 2009 by

“It is nice that hotels are going to non smoking but in some of the older hotels that used to be smoking, they tend to try and hide the smell with deodorizer. I would rather smell the smoke than the horribly strong deodorizer. This is much more damaging to me as it makes me get asthma where my throat closes up and it hurts to breath. Need to stop using so much deodorizer.” Jun 2, 2009 by
Charity from Houston,TX
“The hotel was okay. It was not the best quality, but it was do able. There is a stale funny odor throughout the lobby and parts of the hotel. The elevators seem very old and shaky. The jacuzzi was a green color and had bugs floating in it. The hotel room itself was clean and the view was nice. Overall, this hotel was about average.” Dec 3, 2008 by
Ernest from Helotes,TX
“Very nice and high quality hotel.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 26, 2008 by

“This is the best location in B.R. From here you can easily get to the LSU campus and downtown. It's in the corporate square business area, so no atmosphere; it's surrounded by parking areas, strip shopping and buildings, but there are several good restaurants within walking distance and many more inside 10 minutes drive. And most important, it's safe. The staff was friendly. There was a problem with the elevators being slow, but since it was the weekend I did not see this as a big problem. It was a great experience.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 24, 2008 by

“The hotel was not the easiest to get to from the highway but it was very close. The people overall were great. There were a lot of little things that needed to be repaired. I did not like that it said the pool hours were until 11 and we planned our time accordingly and then to get kicked out at 10:15 shortly after we got in. The security guy said I told them they need to change their sign. Sounds like a lot of things not being done.” Aug 20, 2008 by
Jane from Iowa, LA
“Upon arrival, I thought the hotel was very nice. The attendant was extremely nice and helpful. Due to the late check in time, we did not have enough time to spend time at the pool because it closed fairly early. In addition, when we arrived, the bathroom looked as though someone rushed through cleaning. The shower curtain was held on by duct tape. The previous resident's room service menu was still in my room and was dirty. More time could have been spent cleaning in my opinion.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 19, 2008 by

“The hotel was nice and clean, good location, friendly staff. The only downfall is the movies to buy on the TV were 3 times higher than other hotels. These are nice to keep kids occupied. I couldn't believe that they didn't give free internet.” Aug 11, 2008 by
C from Pearl, MS
“The hotel was ok. It's in a great location, unless you are trying to go somewhere for lunch. Then it's impossible. I wasn't impressed with the rooms at all. They gave away the king size bed and the cafe they have in the lobby is not good at all. The staff was friendly, but I felt that the room was just ok, especially for the price. I had a friend staying in the Holiday Inn across the street and her room was much nicer.” Feb 26, 2008 by
Anita from Tupelo, MS
“I would stay here again and again.” Jan 18, 2008 by
Paula from Farmerville, LA
“You feel like you are in a high class hotel when entering the front door. Once I got to the room I noticed everything was very clean and looked very nice. The presentation of the bed really caught my eye. I was very satisfied with this room except for the mattress on the bed making me very sore the next morning.” Nov 27, 2007 by
Nell from Bossier City, LA
“We were very pleased with the whole experience; I enjoyed the elegant look of the foyer. We were in town for the LSU game and if they had won then everything would have been perfect!” Aug 28, 2007 by
Ellen from Berwick, LA
“I really enjoyed my stay. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the friend staff I feel this has been the nicest place with the friendless people I have ever stayed in my life.” May 10, 2007 by
Jim from Hattiesburg, MS
“I have stayed at the baton rouge Marriott many times. This Marriott is my first choice when visiting baton rouge. The staff members are friendly and extremely accommodating. The breakfast dining is excellent.” Apr 12, 2007 by
Shelia from Atlanta
“Most of the staff at this hotel was very pleasant. The place is a bit old, but it is not bad. My problem is that the staff kept a faulty elevator working. Actually, there were problems with the bathroom and the elevators my entire stay. The biggest problem is that after leaving I can not get service from customer service. The local Baton Rouge Marriott sends you to corporate and they do not seem interested in resolving customer problems. Perhaps it is better to book with smaller hotels that can resolve problems on their own and cannot hide behind a large corporation. When people realize they cannot resolve a problem and stop staying at the Marriott, maybe they will get back to treating their customers like humans like they did in the good old days.” Oct 25, 2006 by
Barry from League City, TX
“For the amount of money paid, expected a luxury room and bathroom. The bathroom was extremely small from size, tub and counters.” May 26, 2006 by
Duke from Lafayette, LA
“I liked the experience in general although they need to improve in the area of customer relations. I am Asian and I did not feel like I was treated in the same way they treated the businessmen and the rich looking.” Aug 23, 2005 by
Anita from Lafayette, LA
“would stay again” Aug 17, 2005 by
Nancy from Waco, TX
“Enjoyed my overall experience and hope to stay again in the future.” Aug 3, 2005 by
Martina from Spring, TX
“The hotel was nice but having a broken toilet really put a damper on things. This is one area which needs to be addressed and put on prioity since it needs to be comfortable being away from home.” Jul 30, 2005 by
Alice from Mobile, AL
“There was a fire alarm at 1am and the entire hotel was forced to evacuate. The alarms were frightening and we ended up sitting on the curb for an hour in our pajamas. It was set off by some of the loud partiers that were all over the hotel. There was no apology for the interruption and we did not get the sleep we deserved.” Jul 6, 2005 by
Sheila from San Diego, CA
“Well located off Interstate 10, this is a nice Marriott with all the usual features. Very attractive lobby, bar and restaurant. I didn't eat there, but the menu looked good. Room was nice but the bathroom was less than clean. Also grubby lamps, clock radio, all the furnishings needed attention. They need to step up their housekeeping but overall a good experience.” Jun 22, 2005 by
Lillian from Metairie, LA
“The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The lobby is very, very pretty, and the hotel bar is very attractive. We had brunch in the restaurant, but the service that day was pretty iffy. It seems like they were all having a bad day or short-handed. The rooms are nice, but the bathrooms are very small for a three star hotel. The carpets in the rooms are old. My family had three rooms, and I saw 2 of the 3. The carpet in both rooms was very much in need of replacing.” Jun 8, 2005 by
William from Thibodaux, LA
“Great location. Comfortable and clean rooms for the price.” Jun 2, 2005 by
Rich from Casselberry, FL
“Everyone at this hotel went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasureable one.” May 12, 2005 by
Joanna from Bossier City, LA
“We had a pleasant stay.” May 5, 2005 by
Joshua from Lynchburg, VA
“The location, nightly rate, and staff were all great. For the level of hotel and price paid, I anticipated high speed internet to be included. The 9.99 daily cost was not warranted in relation to the price of the hotel.” Apr 19, 2005 by
Gianna from Biloxi, MS
“Friendly staff, clean room, good location, nice lobby bar.” Mar 3, 2005 by
Maureen from Forney, TX
“An older property; should be remodeled. Staff was pleasant but poor cleaning standards in place.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 15, 2005 by
Billy from San Antonio, TX
“Nice place and I would highly recommend.” Nov 30, 2004 by
Wilfred C. from Houston “I have stayed at the Baton Rouge Marriott before and like always, service was excellent. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family going out of town.”
