• Was not happy with first room, and staff happily accommodated me.
• Toilet was dirty in the first room. Staff moved me right away.

• Our room was wonderful and I love the comforters on the beds.
• There was nothing that I didn't like.

“I have stayed at this hotel several times and every time I have found it to be perfect for my needs and expectations. With children along I enjoy the fridge and microwave in the rooms. And I love the beds and bedding that is being utilized. It was extremely comfortable.”

• Nice swimming pool.
• Sorry, there is nothing we did not like about this hotel.

“Holiday inn is located on the south side of eau Claire, close to shopping, restaurants, us-eau Claire, sacred heart hospital, and minutes away from the downtown area and the larger malls. It houses green mill restaurant which has really good food for any appetite. The hotel is clean, easy to Navigate, easy to find and easy to access from i-94 or hwy 53, hwy 12, hwy 37 or hwy 85.”

• I needed air purifier and it was taken care of immediately. Smoking room as the motel was booked for a wedding.
• We weren't told about the morning breakfast when we checked in.

“Nice area. Greenmill restaurant attached, convenient. Continental breakfast helps the budget especially with kids. Pool is nice but dark. Lighting could be improved. Overall good stay. Refrigerator and sofa were great!”

• Location to upper campus @ the university Also the attached restaurant.
• The maid knocked at our door at 8:00 to see if we left yet, Check out is at 11AM. It was annoying.

“Very clean. Friendly at the front desk. The Green Mill restaurant is a great addition. Had dinner there in the evening. Location excellent for our stay in Eau Claire to get our daughter moved in to start classes at the university”

• I liked that I was able to order a bottle of champagne to bring to my room, it was new years eve.
• The room smelled greatly of stale smoke.

• The hotel was clean, kid-friendly, had in-room microwave & refridgerator.
• No elevator for hauling up lots of luggage for a long stay.

“This hotel was very nice. It was clean, the staff was friendly, the cleaning staff was courteous and did a nice job, it was kid friendly, a good restaurant (Green Mill) is attached, computers in the lobby with free access and had new appliances in the room (micro & refridgerator) plus the A/C kicked out very cold air, which was nice on a weekend where it hit 100 3 days straight. The only drawback was it lacked an elevator. We were staying for 4 days with 2 kids, that meant lots of trips to the car and up the stairs, instead of one trip on a hotel cart. Other than that, it was a very nice place to stay.”

• The pizza in the restaurant was great. The hotel clerk assisted me in booking another night.
• Continental breakfast had no bananas and had only apples, oranges, muffin and dough nuts were a bit too sweet for our taste.

“Room was very nice and the laundry was convenient. The outer bedding was a bit out dated. They probably know that. We liked that we got a lot of pillows.”

• I liked the convenient location and friendly staff.
• The bath tub was small and sign age was not placed well--I was always going the wrong way.

“While there's no place like home a clean quiet hotel is what I want and expect when away from home. The Eau Claire Holiday Inn filled the bill. The staff was very friendly and helpful which is a real plus because I kept going the wrong way and need to ask for help to find the way to my room. It was a good stay.”

• Filthy carpet esp. corners, lamps, phone, remote, doors, windows.

“Phone line was not working and I kept getting disconnected from the Internet, hotel's on line security disallowed getting into secondary pages on commonly used websites. Continental breakfast marginal and there was no where to sit.”

• Location, affordability, size of room and adjoining restaurant and bar plus lobby computer was fast.
• Had a fire Sat. at 7 am in the laundry room and had to evacuate.

“Room size is nice and the fridge and microwave's are great. Could use improvement on continental breakfast. I don't think what they have counts as one. Adjoining restaurant and bar. The Green Mill was excellent.”

• It was very convenient to campus.
• I had to ask them to change the shower curtain (very smelly), and vacuum the food, etc. off the floor.

“The room could have been cleaner. Staff were very kind when I asked them to please change the shower curtain (very smelly), bedspread (dirty with blood or something), radio (kept beeping in the night), and clean up the hard noodles that were stuck to the carpet, vacuum behind the night stand (very dirty, noticed when I had to unplug the radio).”

• It was nice to have a mini refrigerator in our room as when traveling you usually have something that needs refrigerated
• The mattresses were not very comfortable and the rooms and hallways could use some updating

“Overall we enjoyed our stay and we were comfortable. It was nice to hear the staff working w/great attitudes when leaving in the morning. They all seemed to be in a great mood.”

• It usually took 2 - 3 tries before the outside access door would open with my key card
