• Great service from hotel staff.
• The shower floor was slick and needed a mat.

“The bed was perfect, great pillow selection, very clean room. We were not if the room more that 5 minutes and the front desk called to make sure everything was OK. Good selection at breakfast. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• I like lots of pillows. The bed was comfortable.
• Out of three lamps in the room, only one worked. Had to move clock radio into bathroom to gain use of an electrical outlet.

“Room was quite comfortable. Several electrical outlets did not work. Only one out of three lamps in the room worked. I enjoyed the free wireless internet. Great stay for the money.”

• The location was ideal for our visit.
• The bathroom door caused the room to be very crowded.

“The room size was very open and large but the bathroom configuration was cramped. The location of the hotel was excellent for our purposes. A little more variety for breakfast would have been nice - it was exactly the same all 3 mornings we were there. The O. J. machine was broken but they did substitute with O.J. in a carton.”

• Complimentary breakfast.
• There was candy stuck to my sheets. They didn't change them before my arrival.

“Overall, the hotel met my expectations. It wasn't until I was about to depart that I noticed there were candies stuck to the side sheets of the bed. I was rather disgusted and mentioned it to the hotel manager and she seemed to not care about my thoughts. ”

“The location is convenient to Interstate 80 as well as Coralville and Iowa City. The room was large and clean.”

• Bed was comfortable, room was quiet.
• Open door took up lots of bathroom space, making open space smaller.

“The desk clerk was very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, carpet looked new, and bathroom space was small. Room was quiet. Swimming pool and hot tub looked nice and clean but we did not have time to use. Did not have breakfast there but it looked well.”

• The location, close to U of I and close to a large mall.
• Our room could have used a bit of maintenance to make it's appearance better. Looked a bit run down.

“The location of this hotel is very good, close to U of I and close to Coral Ridge Mall. It's not "luxury accommodations," but if you're traveling on a budget this is a good choice.”

• Most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Wonderful shower as well.
• Check in staff did not offer any information about room or stair location.

“I enjoyed my stay at the Comfort Inn Coralville. I have stayed in many hotels and this was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The room was very clean and the shower was just the right pressure. The hotel was also quiet. I am usually woken by the sound of other room doors slamming but I was able to sleep in with no interruption. It was wonderful.”

• If you came back to the hotel late in the evening, there wasn't ample parking space.

“We really only used the hotel for sleeping purposes as we were visiting family in the area. We appreciated the breakfast each morning at the hotel. It was very adequate for our needs and we would use this hotel again.”

• Enjoyed the pool area and the waffles at breakfast.
• Not their fault-road construction at the exit.

“We had an enjoyable stay at the Comfort Inn in Coralville. Nice, neat rooms with Queen beds! I was traveling with my 13-year old twins and they really like the pool. We went to the nearby Amana Colonies for an early dinner and then as we went west the next morning we stopped at the Outlet Mall. It was a great location for us.”

• Staff was exceptional and so was breakfast!
• Bathtub had stains that could be viewed as dirty although it was cleaned.

“"YaYa" is the name of the front desk gentleman, and he was absolutely exceptional. He called the room to see if we were happy with our accommodations. The pool and Jacuzzi are open until 12:00 A.M.!!! Very nice breakfast too. I left my medications there and when I called them, they knew about it and were waiting to hear from me. They overnighted them for me and provided terrific service.”

• The breakfast was real good!
• The hot tub jets were not working well.

“This is a nice hotel for family and business, leisure or other. Indoor pool, hot tub, good continental breakfast with waffles and boiled eggs, cereal, pastries and the like. Hotel has friendly staff waiting to be of assistance. Very nice! Would definitely stay again!”

• Very nice rooms, likes that the bathroom was a separate room.
• Shower water switched from hot to cold all the time, employees spoke very bad English.

“Modern two story, nice pool and hot tub. Rooms spacious and clean. No elevator which I found odd, continental breakfast left a little to be desired.”

• The desk staff was very child friendly and this helped to put my children at ease during a difficult time.
• There is road construction around this motel and could be quite difficult to get in or out of in emergency.

“It is always nice to have an indoor pool. Everything was clean. They need instructions for the hot tub and some things need to be fixed aesthetically due to time and use. Other than the ongoing street construction our stay was quite good.”

• This hotel was newly remodeled and the overall appearance was wonderful for a 2-star hotel..
• The hot tub was not very warm.

“For the money, we were very impressed with this hotel and agreed that we would go back if we return to the area. Everything looked new, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice feature too.”

• Very accommodating, let us switch from a 2 queen bed room to a king bed (which usually costs more).
• Our nonsmoking room smelled smoky.

“Hotel staff was friendly. Had wireless internet (or let you use a lobby computer). Continental breakfast was good. Construction along First Avenue made this stay a little difficult. But, when the construction is done, this hotel will be in the heart of the riverfront/visitor's center area.”

• The staff was helpful & friendly. The breakfast was good, accessible, had a variety of foods, and we felt stocked.
• The room could have been cleaner. We wished to have our sheets changed after the first night and this was not done.

“The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. We wanted to find an out of the way restaurant and the staff helped us find just the place. The rooms had all the amenities we needed for our stay. No frills, but great find for the money.”

• Silence, you hear no one, and unless you see someone in the hallway, you would think you were there alone. BLISS.
• Can't think of anything.

“Very comfortable, complete silence in your room other than your own conversation. Very clean, plush carpet, beautiful artwork on the walls. The silence is the big thing, no listening to other people's showers, toilets, walking across their floors or their morning alarms. WONDERFUL.”

“The room itself was excellent. Pool and spa were average. Nice breakfast provided with stay. The current road construction, as well as construction in the area just beyond the lobby were clear inconveniences, albeit temporary ones.”

• Upstairs room had children who were jumping off the beds for about two hours.
