• The hotel was clean and they had a very nice complimentary breakfast.
• The location was all under construction and hard to find when we first got off the highway.

• Nice pool and hot tub; well-insulated from highway sounds.
• No hot breakfast. No luggage rack. No hair conditioner. No fitness room. Inadequate breakfast.

“Staff was very friendly and helpful, and occasionally baked cookies for guests (a very nice touch!). I really like the fact that there is no icky blanket. Conveniently located off the highway and right between Iowa City and Coralville.”

• Noisy Heater/air.

• The room was very neat and clean. It was roomy with a nice sitting chair. The breakfast was great in the morning.
• Had a smoking room and wanted a non-smoking room.

“Would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was very clean and the service was great. A nice pool and hot tub. The breakfast in the morning had a nice variety. I would stay there again.”

• Snobbish and gave a smoking room and almost would not honor request for a non-smoking room.

• Clean, roomy, comfortable.
• No ice machine on second and third floor.

“Clean, roomy, comfortable through a little hard to find because it is off the main road. Some road construction makes it a little difficult to get to, but certainly not the motel's fault.”

• The police showed up when the people next door were smoking pot.
• Only had smoking room, no king beds.

“This hotel is nice, new, but cheaply built. You can hear everything going on around you. The hot tub was nice. The teenager at the front desk was very nice and helpful.”

• I was given a free upgrade to a king extended suite.
• There was construction blocking the entrance off of the main street.

“I was very impressed by the Fairfield Inn Coralville. The room I received was luxurious and very clean and the hotel staff was helpful and friendly on multiple occasions when I needed assistance. The continental breakfast was delicious and greatly appreciated. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.”

• Cleanliness, elevator, nice sized room and bathroom, reasonable beds, 24 hour coffee & in room pot
• Got smoking room/requested non-smoking, semi-rude night clerk, very small sink area, starchy breakfast.

“This Fairfield has larger rooms than some. In fact, I wondered if our room was a handicapped. It was that large. However, the sink area was barely usable for 2 people. Large easy chair and desk work area with good lighting made the room good for work and relaxation. The chair was located opposite of the t.v. however, which made for a curious arrangement. Generally the staff was good except for the night clerk who was far more interested in her friends than on helping new guests. ”

“Nice location, just off Interstate 80. Convenient to restaurants. U of Iowa a short drive away. Free Internet is nice, as long as you have wireless capabilities.”

• very accommodating, clean, great breakfast, great staff
• No back door to the back parking lot only a side door. The next morning after a skip" of snow - possibly shovel the sidewalks.."

“This motel was very clean and very inviting. The staff was well prepared and nice. The breakfast was the best I have seen at alot of breakfast areas in motel. I would highly recommend it to anyone.”

“The Fairfield Inn was very full and the housekeeping was a little sloppy (dirty towels left on the room floor and toilet paper nearly gone in the bathroom) and the complementary breakfast had some drawbacks -- the toaster and the waffle iron were not totally functional and the muffins and bagels were stale. The hot tub was not functioning in the pool area. The desk staff was very helpful and courteous.”

“We had problems with the wireless internet and also did not have hot water in the shower. The phone did not work in our room. Would not recommend this hotel, especially for a business stay.”

“Our hotel was a nice surprise,the furnishings were lovely and the staff was very courteous! We wish we could get this room in this hotel every time we go to see our daughter in college!”
