• Very nice hotel and room for the price!
• They were short with me on the phone about upgrading to a suite.

• Down comforters, lots of pillows, Bath & Body Works toiletries, located near the places we needed to go.
• Staff that checked us in was not very friendly, but that seems to be the norm when checking in.

• The quiet rooms.
• No continental breakfast.

“Overall the stay was fantastic and the view from up above is beautiful. They should offer continental breakfast with the cost of the rooms being so high. You weat the breakfast buffet then a big bill gets thrown your way. It was a nice visit.”

“My husband had some interviews in the area and we stayed there. They printed us out directions at the front desk to get us where we needed to go; they used bath and body works products; we had the romantic package and when we got back from the interviews, we had sparkling cider (our choice), fresh strawberries, whipped cream and two glasses waiting on the bed for us along with a large bottle of Bath and Body Works soap with a sponge scrub. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the next morning, a breakfast buffet was included in our package. It was so good! Staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel beautiful (waterfall and glass elevators were cool) I would love to stay there again. We didn't want to go! Thanks Marriot!”

• Cleanliness, appearance of bed & bedding, location.
• We were placed in a handicapped room - also room was too cold & comforter too large.

“I was very impressed with the appearance and cleanliness of this hotel. We travel a lot and this was a great hotel. We did not eat here, so cannot comment on that. I do not like being put in a handicapped room - figured that's where they stuck us. Also there was an extremely large comforter on the bed and the room was frigid with air conditioning, so we spent the night being either too hot (with comforter) or too cold (without comforter). I would stay here again, however - just know now to turn off air conditioning.”

• The pillow-top mattress and the down comforter.
• The hot tub tiles needed cleaning.

“The hotel more than met my expectations. I liked that there was a separate vanity sink outside of the bathroom. The bath products supplied were from Bath and Body Works. The beds had great linens and pillows. The kids thought it was pretty fancy how the atrium was open to the top floor, there were glass elevators and a water fall. The only negative thing I noticed was that the hot tub tiles needed some cleaning. I would definitely stay again.”

• Location a little bit out and away, but not too inconvenient.

• The staff, including the restaurant workers were extremely helpful and friendly.
• The location was a little farther out than was convenient.

“Despite being located away from where I wanted to go, the courtesy of the staff, the quality and portions and variety of the food, and the amenities provided more than made up for the extra few minutes I had to spend getting around town. I had a very enjoyable experience here.”

• Convenient location and ample parking.
• Open to central foyer did add to the noise level.

• The atrium, general layout, and the amenities were excellent
• No continental breakfast available

“This hotel was excellent. It must be the nicest hotel in the Cedar Rapids area. Glass elevators next to a seven story waterfall was really amazing. This hotel was only about a half mile from the main shopping and restrant district.”

“Generally very high quality rooms--surprised at the details. On 7th floor and the value was outstanding. TV location in the room next door was an issue--as it was at the headboard of the bedroom.”

• Marriott's are very consistent and synonymous with a quality product. This hotel was so close to anything we needed!

“We were very pleased with this hotel stay. The location is superb! We ate out our first night and wanted a fine dining restaurant. It was right down the street, along with some other normal chain venue restaurants that we frequented later on. A movie multiplex was right next door! I appreciate a well-maintained workout facility and a pool. The Sunday Brunch was delectably out of this world with a plethora of cuisine.”

Iowa is the niceist hotels in town. The room decor and
fine bed linens made it a pleasure to stay in the room.
The Sunday brunch was a bonus we did not expect with our stay. Keep up the good work.

“The hotel was great. I had a few minor problems with my room: the TV didn't work and a repair man fixed it in about an hour. The hair blower didn't work. But other than that it was excellent.”
