• Breakfast.
• No pool or hot tub.

“I loved our room. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful, prompt and friendly. The breakfast rates among the best.”

• Very spacious room/suite.

“Rooms are very big, more less a suite then a room. Beds were very soft as were the pillows. Just felt like you melted in to the bed. You won't have any problem sleeping.”

• Clean, comfortable, close to the airport, and cost effective.

“The Comfort Inn in South Cedar Rapids was a very affordable night's stay that was close to the airport. The room was basic with no frills, but was very clean and comfortable. It was perfect for what we needed.”

“This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I felt very unwanted by the staff and wished I had stayed elsewhere. not a good deal for the price. I will never recommend this motel to anyone.”

• The location was good, close to restaurants and parks, etc.
• The hotel didn't have a pool.

“The hotel was a pretty nice hotel with comfortable beds and nice rooms. I was disappointed there was no pool, though. All in all, it was a nice hotel.”

• I liked the security, and the location was just far enough from the highway to keep the traffic noise down.
• at least one of the pillows was not clean and there was no mattress cover.

“The hotel was nicely located to several shopping centers and very close to down town Cedar rapids. I have stayed in that area before and like the conviences. I did hear some noises from other rooms, people walking and talking, but otherwise it was quite.”

• Rooms were niced sized well laid out.
• Elevator and halls were dark and dirty feeling.

“While for the price the stay was fine I probably wouldn't return as the staff were not terribly friendly and the hotel had a feeling of not being well maintained.”

• Renovated rooms
• Both of our rooms had a horrible stench, can't quite tell you what it was and it was bad. Hot water was out all day.

“Rooms are recently renovated but our two rooms had a bad stench.Breakfast was weak.Location is ok, not many restaurants except fast food nearby,.”

• The cleaning staff had a positive attitude
• No pool or spa on site and small exercise room had no A/C.

“Comfort Inn off of 33rd Ave S.E. in Cedar Radids is easy to locate. Parking was ample. Room was clean and A/C unit was fairly quiet. Breakfast was your typical high carb / low protein and fiber Continental style. Watch your time if you are going to eat. They had a small exercise room with stationary bike (small seat) and treadmill. Room had no A/C. Also, needed cash and the clerk about laughed when I asked if I could write a check for cash (where or where has the old protocol gone?) Overall experience was a "two-star" and I would stay at this motel again.”

• Wallpaper hanging off the wall. Smoke smell.

“Not a very modern hotel. The wallpaper was falling off of 2 of the 3 rooms I rented. All smelled terribly of smoke.”

• It had breakfast
• There was no one breakfast person, so they were always running out of things and had to wait for front desk person to refill.

“The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean. The location was not good for us as the places we needed to be were clear across town. I wish Cedar Rapids/Marion were divided into at least two sections, a north and a south.”

• The clerk did try to make our room more comfortable, as it was a smoking room and the smell was quite strong.
• Only 1 person working at the front desk on a Sat., which was also a holiday week-end, and they weren't able to watch the breakfast and check people.

“The hotel was fine, it was just the 1st time we weren't able to have a non-smoking room, and the smoke was very strong. ”

• It was great other than the below listed fact
• The Breakfast at 9;45 am was ill stocked and the on duty clerk generally ignored that fact and our request

“Great service but not having your breakfast area stocked was not good . acknowledging that fact and doing nothing about it wasn't great”

• Good location right off the interstate near many other hotels and eating establishments.
• The continental breakfast wasn't great.
