• Room was very clean and comfortable, always well supplied.
• There was nothing I didn't like.

“I was in the area for a family wedding, so there were lots of activities. I only slept and dressed in the room; however, there was a pool, hot tub and gym equipment, if I would have had time. The facility was very comfortable. The restaurant was not open as it is being refurbished. This was fine with me.”

• Very nice lobby, newly remodeled.
• Hotel staff used my computer! My room, and several others (was with a group) stunk of curry.

“The hotel has undergone a huge renovation since the big flood of Cedar Rapids in 2008. But there are some big problems. First and foremost, I proved to the manager that hotel staff had used my computer while I was out of my room. That is inexcusable. My room, as well as others in my group, rooms smelled horribly from curry, and they had not other rooms to move us to. I would never stay there again.”

• I did not get a wake up call.

“I did not get a wake up call and missed my first 2 appointments in the morning because of it. When I told the lady at the front desk, she gave me a non caring, "we will look into it". The damage was done. I more advanced, "I am sorry that happened, I will check the reason. Can we make it up to you?" I am in Cedar Rapids every week on business for one or two nights.”

• Ease of check in.
• Very rude restaurant employees, dirty pool, dirty bathroom, noisy dogs in rooms.

“I've never seen such rude customer service employees. The restaurant hostess was mean to the older couple in front of me and a real smart-alec to me. So bad that I didn't give them my business and I usually overlook things like that. Also their housekeeping was in the restaurant area and they were moving dirty water etc thru the entrance to the restaurant.”

• They have bed office table, and chair in the room.
• They did not have a microwave in the room. When I asked the charged on me $8.85.

“It was a nice place in over all. The location was excellent where it was closer to the exit of I-380 freeway. My suggesting is that they need to a microwave in the hotel rooms and not charged to guests. Indeed, it will be more convenient to costumers.”

• The staff was very friendly.
• The parking lot was not easy to get into.

“My daughter and I had a great time in this hotel. We had everything we needed and the staff was helpful and nice. It was clean and neat. We would defiantly stay here again.”

• It far exceeded my expectations. Clean, pleasant room and helpful staff.
• The restaurant waitress wasn't very friendly or helpful but the food was good.

“It was great. The hotel was easy to find, very clean and pleasantly designed, staff was friendly. Not upscale but very good standard accommodations. Pleasantly surprised and for the price, it was amazing!”

• Staff was unbelievably helpful - loaned us a baby seat for ride to airport.

“The hotel and room were on par with expectations for a 2-star listing. However, the staff was 5-star all the way. They were very kind, helpful, and professional.”

• The fact they put me in a room next to 3 that were being renovated.

“Had stayed here several years ago and it was rather tired looking and noisy then. They have since remodeled and is very attractive (for a mid-price motel). Restaurant and lounge and room service were all excellent.”

• Housekeeping comes too early.

“I was overall pleased with this motel. Although there were a few disappointments. The closet in the room was full of many things when we got there. Like a full length mirror and a few odds and ends that didn't need to be there. Otherwise satisfied.”

“Located off downtown cedar rapids a little hard to get to but not a big problem rooms are basic, with two sinks which is nice and in-room coffee. Bed was not very comfortable. New pool and hot tub were first rate.”

“It was clean and location was good. I found it difficult to do work at the table provided. Not enough work space. The Staff was very friendly and the restaurant was good. I found the bed very uncomfortable and did not sleep well the 2nd night.”

“This hotel is older and located in a relatively difficult to get to location but the people were helpful, the rooms clean, the attached restaurant served plentiful portions and there was really nothing we lacked.”

• The friendliness and the pool/spa facility.

“A little complicated to get to, but worth it once we got there. The staff was friendly and the food in the attached restaurant was fairly good. Everything was clean and neat, and the free high-speed Internet was a bonus!”

“The room I had was as good or better that many hotels I've stayed at. The hotel has a decent lounge and restaurant on the premises. Not far from downtown or the interstate. Hope I get this hotel again!!!”

• Comfortable bed. Nice room. Room service available.
• VERY HARD to enter off I 380. Poor neighborhood.

“Staff was friendly. I'm glad that room service is available because, as a woman alone, I wouldn't want to go out for dinner after dark in that neighborhood. However, they automatically freeze $150 on a credit card for the extras, that's way too much for a 3-night stay when the room is already paid.”

• Location is not the best. Hard to get to from I-380.

“The hotel was very accommodating. Left extra coffee packets for me. Room was cleaned timely. Restaurant in hotel provided excellent room service with limited, but tasty, menu.”

“This hotel is in a very out of the way location and difficult to get to. The elevators are very small and some areas were not very well kept. The room was fairly clean. Not the best, but not the worst I have been in.”

• Close to downtown with easy access to cultural and athletic venues
• There is only limited internet service available.

“Best Western Cooper's Mill would be an excellent choice for anyone wishing to visit Cedar Rapids or attending an event. Easy interstate access and a nice new pool and hot tub make this an easy choice. However, there is only limited internet access so unless you are in a select few rooms, don't expect to get any work done. Overall, a good experience.”

• It wasn't to far from US Cellular - I liked that!

“The hotel was great. I personally did not know the city at all. Hotel was near the US cellular center where we took our daughter to see Disney on Ice. The city of Cedar Rapids did not accept out of towners of slower moving vehicles. They did not like people who doesn't know where they are going. Guess you have that everywhere!”
