• Check in was fast and easy.

• The bed was OK.
• It stunk! It
  was a smoker hotel that had been sprayed over.

“It reeked from the moment we walked in. I hate when they say it's not a smoker hotel but you can smell it! Our room said that it was non-smoking but we had to leave the fans on high and windows open as much as possible because it stunk so badly. I literally had to wash everything in our suitcase when we got home. Also there was a chick who sat on the community computer the entire day. I asked to use it and she bit my head off. I would not stay here again.”

“This was a cheap stay and good for the value! Hotel offers continental breakfast which makes it great for the budget traveler. Room was clean but no frills which was fine for what I needed it for. Hotel staff was very friendly and courteous.”

• The price was affordable. Close to the Highway.
• Breakfast lounge was too small and dirty, and there was junk sitting around on floor.

“This hotel was easy to find, just off the exit from the highway. But it needed some updating, the
AC did not cool well, just air. The windows on ground floor were not burglar proof. No landscaping, mud hole outside the window. All floors needed sweeping badly, and we noticed staff just walking around with nothing to do and talking. Room smelled damp and musty. So, overall it needs a thorough cleaning and repair the AC.”

• The front desk clerk was nice.
• Very small room, only 1 full bed (not Queen). Very smoky, no real fitness room. No chairs or tables in breakfast room.

“If you are looking for a small room, with one small bed to spend the night, because you are working out of town and just need a place to sleep and shower, and don't mind the smell of smoke, this is the place for you. Otherwise I would not consider this place. When we got to the room the window was open and still the smell of smoke was so strong. The room looked clean. There was only one bed (full size, not queen or king), it took up most of the room and had some kind of plastic on the mattress that made it very noisy to sleep on. There was no remote for the TV. No chairs or tables in the breakfast area. I would not even consider this to be a 1 star hotel.”

• Location and price.
• Pretty old and you could hear everything happening around you.

“Not the greatest place to stay, but ok for the money. All I needed was a clean bed and shower as I wasn't staying there long, so met my specifications. If you want a plush, romantic place, this would not be it!”

• Filthy dirty hotel.

“My last three stays in Cedar Rapids have been at this hotel. Of those two out of the three were horrible. There was no shampoo which I informed the desk of at 6 pm. They said they would bring some to my room and never did. The breakfast area was filthy and all the choices they had were cereal or bagel. I ended up getting sick and diarrhea and don't know if it was from the smell or something else but the smell didn't help. Upon checkout I was almost hoping they would ask me how my stay was as every other hotel does so I could give them my opinion and they never asked. I stay in Cedar Rapids very regularly.”

• There was nothing to like about this hotel. It was a disaster.
• The place is a dump. It is filthy and smelly.

“This hotel appears to have been turned into a boarding house for displaced flood victims who have become longer term residents. There are boxes of food and canned goods visible from the exterior on window sills of guest rooms. The place hasn't seen a vacuum cleaner in a long time. There are empty snack wrappers littering the lobby and it place smells like the inside of an ashtray. Avoid this place.”

• There was nothing I liked.
• It was unclean. Vagrants were loitering outside.

“This was one of the seediest hotels I've stayed in a long while. There were people outside the side entrance with coolers, drinking. Kids were running in the parking lot. The staff was unhelpful and seemed to care less. I felt unsafe due to the people loitering around.”

• Nothing.
• When checked into the hotel was not able to stay the week due to the living quarters.

“We were 3 business travelers from our corporation at this hotel and they told me to change hotel. They described their experience to me. That one of our associates was given a room and when she went to go into the room saw that someone was already staying in the room. Another associate checked into his room and it smelled and had mold. When looking at the bedding looked like they had not changed their sheets. Cleanliness of the hotel was not acceptable and wanted to check into another hotel immediately, but unfortunately there were no other properties to move to but 50 miles away.”

• Location off of Interstate.
• Room felt like a jail cell. Needs serious updating.

“Clean room with no frills. Needs much updating. Hopefully this is in their future plans. Would probably choose another place, until this one is renovated/updated.”
